I have 4 of these bottles for collecting and storing breastmilk in the fridge. They’re so handy and a great size. The lid is a bit fiddly though, and they’re a bit expensive for what they are – but I still buy them anyway because they’re a great addition to EP mums

I have used the Medela 150ml bottles for about 4/5 months but my son now drinks around 200ml per feed so I have found it brilliant to be able to use the larger bottles and store the portion all in one bottle. I sterilise with Milton’s and the bottles are still clear with the measurements completely intact (even the small ones that I’ve been using for months). The only drawback for me is the fact that the lids do come apart sometimes which, as a MAM bottle user, can be frustrating because I don’t ever use the Medela teats so have no need for a two-part lid. However I would definitely recommend these bottles for storing breast milk in the fridge and now have 6 of the larger bottles and what feels like a million of the 150ml bottles (although in reality I think it’s closer to 12)!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for storing milk in portion sizes

Bought these because I already had the Medela breastpump and my daughter was spilling a lot with the Tommee Tippee bottles and we needed to buy extra bottles and teats.
Easy to use and clean, would recommend even if just using formula and your baby prefers/needs preemie teats. The teats are sold separately though

I am an exclusive pumper, and I use these bottles with a wide neck adapter on my Spectra S1. As with every other Medela bottle I’ve bought, I find the quality far superior. Great for both milk storage and pumping.

These bottles have proved to be really useful. I live on medical feeds which have to be made up and put in the freezer. The bottles freeze well….and take time to defrost which suits me as i always have one bottle on the go and another waiting for when i need it. Would highly recommend. They dont look like baby bottles which is what i was looking for and i needed them to be BPA.

Arrived quickly. Quite expensive for just 2 bottles, hence the 4 stars, but good quality and fit the Medela pump and teats I already use (just pop out the middle of the lids to insert the teat).

I’ve been pumping for a full year and these bottles were great to keep the milk in the fridge.
When I finish pumping, I start using for may thingks like take tea with milk in the mornings, keep fruit compote for my daughter in the fridge, etc.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersWe now have loads of these bottles with the Calma teats, my newborn was getting a combination of breast and bottle milk and the tommee tippee ones were useless and flow rate was far too much and made it leak from his mouth and ended up throwing up from being able to gulp too quickly.

These bottles and teats are great, well worth the extra money!

My only criticism is the necks are a bit small for getting his formula in but I bought a food funnel to get the formula in and works perfect.

Great bottles, and great to have the larger size to fit a bit more of my expressed milk into. Only annoying thing is they are too big to fit into the bottle stand that came with my madela pump.

i use these to measure out my daily milk allowance for slimming world. they are great because they hold just the right amount and are small enough to go in the fridge or travel in my cooler. they wash really well in the dish washer. you do have to be careful with the lid, because it has leaked on occasion. keep upright would be my advice and keep in a plastic bag if travelling.

These bottles are really well made, I bought them to go with my medela swing breastpump but low and behold my son decided he didn’t like the medela teats so I just use these to store my milk in the fridge after I’ve expressed now. I love these bottles and I’ve had them about 2 months now. They seem eon much more durable than other brands that I’ve tried and they clean and sterilise really well – we use cold water sterilising.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBought these for our 3 month old, to complement our existing Medela kit. They have not discoloured at all in the time we have had them. I think the trick is to wash them in hot soapy water as normal, but to use a steam steriliser rather than liquid disinfectants. I have put all our Medela kit, bottles, lids, teats and so forth in our tommie tippee microwave steamer thing many times and they are still perfect. Not cheap but we have found the Medela teats preferable to others, certainly they don’t seem to cause any wind or upset.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersGot this recently as I was expressing more than 150ml at one go. Some of the reviews here talk about the cap being 2 piece. Actually the 150ml bottle caps fit these bottles perfectly. So I don’t use the 2 piece cap. The mouth is wide enough to put formula as well! I use it for both formula and expressing. Great product. It fits the Calma teat and also the swing pump.

I have a number of Medela products for our baby daughter including these breastmilk bottles. What I like about these bottles is that they are big enough to give her a full feed now that she is eating more and the markings are very easy to see unlike other bottles where the markings are made in the plastic themselves.
These have held up well to numerous washes and sterilisations.
Some things to think about before ordering:
-Bottles and teats are typically not transferable between brands, so whichever brand bottle you get, you will have to get the matching teats.
-The lids on these bottles are of two pieces as shown in the picture. If you do not get the disc lined up properly, your precious milk will leak out.
-Lastly, the opening on these bottles is a little small if you are going to use them for making powder formula. A steady hand will be needed when using the scoop to get the powder in.

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersWe moved up to these from the 150ml bottle. Would have given these 5 stars if it wasn’t for the lids.

    Some comments:

    1) You may be used to a single lid on the smaller bottles. These ones are different in that they are two piece lids. The idea being that you can use the Medela Medium Flow Silicone Teats with these. However, if like us, you use the Medela Calma teat then this is redundant and it just makes it a little more fiddly.

    2) This just about fits into our steam steriliser Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Electric Steriliser Kit .

The best baby bottles + teats on the market!
They just go on and on like the old ariston advert. I bet these will last 6 months – 1 yr just like with our first baby.
Teats are really tough and long lasting.#
DON’T lose the blanking caps as we have never found replacements without buying new bottles!

Brilliant bottles for all medela pumps can be used as storage bottles and are apparently unbreakable tho they do seem to warp a little when used to cool milk tho returns to normal once heated. I have dropped them a few times and they haven’t broken tho the lid did sealing disc did break.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWe already owned the smaller (150ml) bottles and the Calma teats, so needed bigger bottles when our baby started drinking more milk.
The best price we found was on Amazon, and we’ve had no problems using them to make up formula (unlike another reviewer) – the Aptimil measuring spoon just fits within the neck and the formula should be made up with cooled water (according to instructions).
Definitely would recommend the Medela bottles and Calma teats – our baby has used them since he was 2 weeks old with no feeding problems.

I used the 150ml size to pump directly into for months, then as I was double pumping for twins and my supply increased I had to move onto this size.
They’re very easy to clean, can be sterilised by any method and you can get slow or medium teats by medela to feed directly from the bottle.
They actually hold approx 300mls if you fill all the way to the top.

it’s taken a long time for the markings to wear off, they’re better than other brands for that.

The down side is you cannot get a Medela fast flow teat (Tesco own brand fits, Asdas not so well), They’re too tall to fit on any shelf in my fridge stood upright, (and of course breastmilk should not be stored in the door) and too tall for the microwave steriliser (I put mine at an angle and can then sterilise two at once).

I bought these bottles when I began expressing about 250ml of milk in one sitting and the small bottles were too small. I did buy teats to go with them so we could feed the expressed milk directly from the bottle but found that we didn’t like feeding her from these as much as the Avent bottles. I recommend these bottles for expressing into (if ou have a Medela pump, which i also great) buit not for feeding.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI would recommend these 250ml bottles if you need to pump a lot (I am pumping all my breast milk). I originally bought the 150ml bottles but I was having to change them over mid-pump (time consuming) and it also created more washing up. If you are looking at these bottles you already have a Medela pump, so there is no point reviewing the finer points of the whole system here, but I would just note that I don’t like the lids much. You have to handle the two component parts to assemble them even though the instructions that come with the pump say to avoid touching the insides of bottles and caps after cleaning. The lids come apart so you can use the Medela teat. This is good in theory so that you don’t have to transfer the milk to different bottles. However, I found the Medela teat too ‘narrow’; my baby was taking whole teat into his mouth, whereas the Tommee Tippee and Avent teats are wider at the point where they fit to the bottle and more similar to a nipple and breast. To sum up, if you are pumping a lot, don’t waste your time on the small bottles.

Very handy for expressing larger quantities of milk into as they are compatible with my Swing pump. They have withstood the dishwasher so far so are very convenient to clean (every little timesaver helps with a new baby!). I would have liked the option to pay a little extra to get teats and caps with them as you just get the rings and sealing discs but still very happy with them.
