Does what it says on the box
My grass was looking awful so I purchased this seed and was happy with how easy it was to spread over my lawn straight from the box. I now have a beautiful bright green, lush lawn which took only 1-2 weeks
I am very impressed with this. Having tried numerous other seed types, this is the best by a country mile. Does exactly what it promises – germinates super fast, sprouting in 4 days, and produces a wonderful full, thick lawn of tough, healthy, nice smelling, great quality grass. This will be my “go to” for all general purpose lawn seed from now on. I know there’s some bad reviews of this product, but I can only assume they are from people who didn’t know what they were doing and didn’t water it ! …..So, if that happens to be you – just do your research and find out how to create the right conditions for overseeing or for creating a brand new lawn, and water it appropriately – if you do that, this seed will work exactly as promised.
Seed germinates fine, sprinkler in the box annoying
The seed seems of good quality. It may well be true that germination can take place in 4 days, but in my experience in the full summer and being watered daily, 6-7 days is more likely. The sprinkler built into the box is infuriating as it gets jammed with seeds and then does not work, needing endless shaking out. Really worse than having just an opening in the box.

Mistakes happen However when the buyers correspondence suggests it may have been delivered , almost sugesting they are doing you a favour by sending out another , which is conflicting with Amazon eg it states ” running late..”
I prefer transparency so won’t use this seller again and I’m still waiting for my order!

Germination took a couple of weeks, rather than the stated time. This may have been due to weather. It was raked over & mixed with top soil mid March, but it is slowly growing now.

Large patch on my lawn the dogs scratched up so I put some top soil down with seed from Amazon works really fast and looks good now thank you

Easy to sow. Quick to Grow. Puts on a show.
Used this to start a fresh new lawn. With regular watering, this grows very well and quickly. Sprouts within about 4-5 days. After a few trims, it starts getting bushier and very green. Lots bushier and faster growing than my existing grass. So far is growing where other seeds haven’t taken (but we’ll see how that goes when it gets hotter or when the days get shorter.

Works well
So far this has worked well for me. There are a few spaces in the garden, but I think I just didn’t put enough seed down. I’m going to add some more when I do the rest of the garden.
Check The Date on The Bottom Of The Box
Mine arrived with a date of 06/2020 – it’s generally assumed that seeds will lose 10% germination each year, so my new box of seed starts life with a maximum 70% chance of sprouting.
Very Fast Growing!
Bought this as during the summer months I had some large beige patches where I had a bit of a leatherjacket problem. I raked out the dead grass, mixed the seed with some john innes no3 and a small amount of lawn feed to create a substrate to hold the seed and spread into the bare patches.
Admittedly it was a warm showery week (I did wait for that on purpose) but the seed germinated in 4 day, and on day 9 you can barely tell where the patches were. Absolutely incredible speed. I now have a green lawn again – very happy and would definitely use again.
Great results but not fast germinatio
Very pleased with the lawn recovery after the very hot summer killed off a lot of the grass.
After some serious dethatching I pot some fresh topsoil over the worst areas and raked in the seed. 6 weeks later the lawn is nearly perfect. A few spots where germination wasn’t too success however.
“Fast Germination” is not trua. No different to any other seed brand. As expected, took about a month for all areas to show germination.
This is very fast growing grass. In some places it sprouted after about 5 days, but in others it took 2 weeks. Once growing, it is way faster growing that my existing lawn (probably about twice as fast), which makes it a bit odd looking and means I have to cut the grass more frequently than before. I guess I can’t complain, as it does say it is fast growing. It is also a rougher type of grass that doesn’t look as natural as the existing lawn (despite now being about a year old in some places).
It is very hard to get the amount of seed right and often leads to thin grass and bald patches, so use way more than it says to get a decent thickness of grass.
Grass Seed
Used the seed, but it did not appear until 7-8 days later. It looks a lovely lawn so far. Had to protect the seed with netting because of birds and squirrels.
Grow luscious green grass
It takes a couple of weeks to get some grass of decent length, but the seeds germinate quickly. Sown in late September, after raking soil and removing stones, and added compost on seeds, and gently raked over. Watered when required, and the grass is now greener than the old grass.
Worked eventually.
Needed to fill in some bald patches. Doesn’t work in 4 days, possibly 7-10. Had to use in conjunction with some Lawn dressing in places. Overall I am pleased with the outcome. Lawn looks fab now. Would buy again.
Thick green grass
I know very little about gardening or looking after a lawn but I threw these down trying to infill patches in our neglected garden. Within a few days the lawn is looking fantastic with thick and healthy grass coverage over the whole lawn.
Our garden was in such a bad way I had anticipated that it would need to be re-turfed but this has saved the day, fantastic value for money.

Cant compare this particular seed with any other as this is the first time I’ve tried to grow a lawn. We had an uneven weedy patchy lawn. Had some construction work done which generated a load of spare good soil. So we pulled up the weeds and just spread soil over to flatten out the old lawn flattened with a roller then gave it a light rake over to break the surface and then put down the seed. Watered everyday as per instructions and amazingly 2 months later have a thick lush flat lawn. Took about 2 weeks to see any signs of growth. Still add seed just to cover bits we missed but all in all its worked well. Like I said I’m no gardener but this was easy.

Had spread the seeds by hand about two weeks back and germination took well over 10 days more than double what is mentioned on the pack. The grass is very small right now, so cannot comment on quality of the grass yet. will edit review in a few months time once it has had a chance to grow.
Note: The seeds do germinate as long as you have good warm weather.

I don’t usually write reviews, but being a biologist and scientist I like to do experiments. The 4days germination is reported based on extremely suitable/ideal condition. For any seed to grow in this duration is unrealistic!
However, the seed will still grow and I have taken pictures at different time intervals.
Based on my experience, the germination time varies between 2-3 weeks. So be patient with it while you buy this produc
