I did need to get someone to assemble this but once it was ready I have found it lightweight and easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersEasy enough to put together, oil reservoir partly covered, makes access tricky If you intend to fill up from a bottle, easier to use a funnel with a flexible pipe, spark plug cap extremely tough to get off.
Used twice first two cuts of the season, used the mulching plug on both occasions cuts well works well. Extremely manoeuvrable, reasonably light weight, light enough to push without much effort, had to invest in fuel stabiliser, blows white smoke on start up if you don’t use the stabilise

This mountfield model was extremely easy to assemble, there are only a few components to build before it’s ready to go, extremely well made and robust, mulches grass as long as 9″ with ease, not to heavy to push, just remember to buy some lawnmower oil as naturally there is none included for transit reasons.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIt was tricky to assemble the grass collector.
Ideal replacement for my electric Bosch 43.
Now I can make the “long strokes” across the garden… Please note this is WITHOUT the roller!
So do not get that striped lawn, but it’s OK for me.

The manual indicates that it comes with the “engine manual” but that was missing. Got it online and it’s over 120 pages of multilingual stuff and the English version is 9 pages!

The lawn mover manual has space to record 2 services but I did not see any recommendations on service intervals.

Engine oil stated as SAE30 but in the manual it says that you can also use SAE 10w-30.
You are also recommended to use a petrol additive… Read up and get some with the oil and the petrol you will need to get started.

Engine oil vary quite a bit and it will be useful to know if SAE30 and 10w-30 are interchangeable for us in the UK?

If you are coming over from electric to petrol… Be prepared for a more vigorous work out as these are heavier but well worth it.

Finally, I am glad I opted for the HP instead of the SP… As I have a few trees and borders to negotiate and need to push and pull on the mover… A definite no no on SP!

So this was easy to set up but as a single lady I found it really rather heavy. I have to store in a garage that’s a good 20 meters from the garden so it’s not easy to get out. The box even says “assisted lifting”

It starts well and does the job it’s meant for – it cuts the grass cleanly and evenly. Large storage area for the collections which is handy as I used to have to empty the flymo twice during one cut. I was also limited with the flymo being electric I needed extension leads and it felt dangerous having cables across the grass. This being petrol feels much safer. Look forward to building up my muscles and using it more next summe

    Oh My
This is actually the Rolls Royce of Lawn mowers
I can’t try it yet as it’s too wet to do the grass, but when I do I will add a video
Assembly was not difficult at all
Surprisingly Very lightweight considering the size of it
    Lovley and colourful
Huge space to hold the cut grass
Well worth the money on what I’ve seen so far
Be back with a video soo

For me, one of the most important things about a motor mower is for it to have an easy start. This one has just that. This means I am more inclined to cut the grass more often! However, as it is coming to the end of the mowing season… The couple of times I have used it have already shown enough in order to review it.

The mower itself is unremarkable, similar to most mowers, having a robust frame, a good engine – actually make that an excellent engine – good cutting etc, but with one or two nice extras. Firstly it is easy to manoeuvre, even thought it is no lightweight. Secondly, it isn’t too noisy – for me this is important. It cuts well enough and collects the grass as it should.

Even though this is, as I put it, unremarkable, it does a good job and is perfect for larger flat lawns. For sloping lawns it isn’t ideal, but as most lawns tend to be flat, this is a mower that can easily be described as a workhorse, one that will get on with its job without fuss. I would prefer to give it four and a half stars, but that’s now allowed, so to be kind, I have given the full 5 stars.

A robust machine that copes with 3/4 acre of rather poor grass and lots of ground incline without complaining.
