Not sure how this works, but it’s a god send when my son is crying and won’t give you long to make up a bottle. Seems to be ready in a matter of seconds, even with boiling water straight from the kettle!

When I purchased this after reading reviews I was sceptical but this is a game changer I don’t know how it cools boiling hot water in no time. I use this everyday and it still amazes me it’s a must have when travelling abroad with a baby it slim and light weight it doesn’t make any noise you don’t even have to charge it just add hot water lid shake and done doesn’t leak

Great product to get bottle baby ready when out and about. Thermos is awful though. It barely keeps water hot an hour and that is with heating it first as per instructions. I’ve had to buy another thermos now.

One of the best things I’ve bought, for any parent that has had to sit for 10 to 15 minutes cooling a bottle whilst having a crying baby will know the stress it can cause, having this tool that can cool a bottle in less than 2 minutes is a total life saver.

Pros and Cons
Overall the rapid cool is great to quickly cool down a bottle of formula – we have found it incredibly helpful for night feeds in particular.
However, the thermal flask wasn’t worth purchasing – Nuby advised it is only designed to stay hot enough for 2 hours which is useless for night feeds. There are probably far better thermal flasks available to keep it hotter for longer, which we will look into.

This is a big game changer ! As a mom of three kids , this is perfect for my newborn baby when feeding on demand. Such an amazing product for night time feeds too. Absolutely love it. Cools a roasting bottle down within seconds not even minutes ! Would recommend this to any parent , best thing a new mom could buy for their babies. Bought my best friend one also who’s due a baby soon.

Mine did break within a couple of weeks, the green light stays on (still on now) and doesn’t turn red with hot water although still works and does its job. Life saver when out and about, I did buy another so I use 2.

I cannot believe how quickly this works. It’s instant the only thing I will say in terms of an improvement that could be made, is the measurements on the inside are hard to see. But otherwise it’s an amazing product.
Rapid cooling
Very easy to use, pour the hot water in, turn it upside down and give it a shake, when the light on the lid turns yellow then its at the right temperature to feed the baby. A lot quicker than having to cool down with a jug of cold water, happy baby =happy momma !

I don’t know how they’ve done it or what sorcery is inside those flask walls, but I tell you – it is something special.
We chucked out our Tommee Tippee Prep Machine as it was giving our baby lots of wind and turned to the Nuby instead. We now have two of these Rapid Cools which we use on rotation for our son’s 5/6 feeds each day.
Easy to wash up… throw it in the Milton sterilising solution … voila.
Only downside is it takes 3 hrs before you can use it again… but all other aspects of this fabulous invention cancel that out. Just get multiple. You won’t regret it.

I purchased these as I am combo feeding my son.
Great for night feeds, however the flask is awful barely get 3/4 hours hot and even then it’s not hot enough to set the rapid cool to too hot.
I’ve had to purchase a new flask, I’d recommend just buying the rapid cool and not this set. Aesthetically it’s lovely but reality it’s useless

I was unsure on investing in the rapid cool but it’s made going out so easy with my baby! Easy to use and works well every time. I don’t always trust the speed as the indicator lights up green very quickly so I always leave it a little longer. Since buying I found out that I only needed one rapid cool to do the ‘hot shot’ method and saves on sterilising the cooler every time. Flask keeps hot water hot for a long time.
Had my fourth baby in 2023. Was quite a bit of a gap between him and my other children and this was not around when I had them.
This is so handy for when out and about. Don’t need to worry about when my baby will need his feed or how I am going to warm or cool a bottle when out and about.
This would be my number 1 recommendation for anyone planning to bottle feed.
Would be helpful for night feeds too if needed.
I use them slightly different to how advised. I do not mix the milk in the flasks. I use some of the boiling water as a hot shot for the powder (to kill any germs) then the remaining water I put in the cooling flask until it’s ready and add to the bottle. Nine times out of ten the bottle is perfect but do check as it can be on the warmer side still if done this way due to the hot shot originally put in. Does not take long to cool though.

This is a life saving product. Bought to help make formula milk. It cools the boiling water down super quick, no fuss and easy to clean. Easily transportable too like a flask. The only thing I would say after some use the temperature gauge is temperamental and shows green when actually the milk is still hot but I just wait another 30 sec to make sure it’s properly cooled down. You have a bottle ready within 2mins absolute time saver.

Excellent at cooling down formula for when the little one is expressing an urgency for a feed.

Absolute game change
This product is th answer to my dreams!!! Previously used a prep machine for bottles but heard so many conflicting things about them and think that resulted in an unsettled baby. I got this product and oh my goodness I wish I had this for all of my children. Making bottles the correct way and it’s so quick and easy to use. I cannot recommend this product enough the most amazing baby product i have used I can not fault it.
Great Nuby, Rubbish Flask
The Nuby’s are great and having 2 does make life easier as you need to wait 3 hours in between use, but the grey flask is useless, I would recommend checking the price of buying 2 nuby’s individually and a flask separately if you need one.

Cons – you can’t steam sterilise the lid so am having to use cold water sterilising. It’s abit of a pain having to wash and sterilise it after every feed which is why I only use it for night feeds. That might not bother everyone though

Can’t recommend this enough. We took it on holiday for our 6 month old and it made making bottles just as easy as using a prep machine. I didn’t make the full bottle in it as that means you can only use it once before washing. I put 1oz of boiling water in the baby bottle to mix the milk then 6oz in the nubby, turned upside down so the sensor kicked in, then left it the right way up for a few minutes and the bottle was ready. Life saver. Lines inside the nubby can be tricky to see but I used my phone torch and it worked fine.

Works well, Extremely quick to turn the milk perfect temperature. Only annoying thing is sterilising time for next use. 3 hours is a long time for sterilising before the next use. Not useful for cluster feeding unfortunately, Other then that its great.
Best thing I've ever bough
When your baby is hungry at 1am and screaming the house down this is something I would recommend! It really does rapid cool boiling water down so quickly which is a god send at night if your baby is hungry and you’ve slept through your alarm to make another bottle and wait for it to cool in some cold water.
Sadly, I had to buy a UV steriliser with this as you can’t steam sterilise it but the UV steriliser had helped with various other bits anyways.

I have my first new born! 2 weeks old now. So pretty new to this parenting lark. Originally at first was boiling kettle and waiting for 30mins to cool down enough to make the milk formula. Then wait for it to cool down or put it in a bowl of cold water for it to be ok for baby to have.
Then I heard about this from a friend. Now with this all I have to do is make the formula and its ready to drink in two minutes!!!
When your baby is crying (especially at night) every second counts lol. Also stops baby getting getting too worked up waiting.

Little tip…..buy a hot water flask. That way you have hot water ready to make milk- not waiting for kettle to boil….also saves money not having to boil a kettle every time.

We tried putting the formula as it says but our little one had way too much wind and eventually we put the measured boiling water inside it and put the formula into the baby bottle after the boiling water was cooled down
But it is a game changer and would recommend 100% but just dont follow the instructions I dont recommend putting the formula inside this but just use it to cool down the boiling wate
I have no idea how this concept works but it’s great! We don’t use it as advised as you’d only get one use out of it with putting milk straight into it.
We fill a flask with boiled water and take that out. Pour the amount into the mam bottle as the markings are difficult to see on the inside. I then pour from the bottle into the mam bottle cap (30ml/1oz) for the hot shot. Then pour the remainder into the nuby and allow it to cool. Fantastic.

Not only do I use this on the go but I use this product through the night so that my baby’s bottles are ready fast. It’s a life saver especially if you don’t have a prep machine like me.I do not prepare the full bottle in the cooler like the instructions say. I keep a hot shot of water in my baby’s bottle for the milk powder then cool the rest of the water down and pour it in. This allows me to make more than one bottle with it when our or through the night without having to sterilise or wash it as only the boiled water goes into it. I have recommended this product to a few of my expecting friends.

I absolutely love the cool down system, it is a real saviour, I can quickly get my baby’s formula ready now. Only reason for 4 stars is that the thermal flask is not good at keeping the hot water temperature, every time I test with the lid after keeping it for 2 hours, it shows orange, never red. Otherwise considering only the cool down system would be 5.

Cuts back milk preparation time to just down to 1-2mins. This is perfect for nighttime feeds and for when you’re going out. It’s easy to use, clean and regulates milk temperature to an optimal level. Mind you that you do have to let it cool off for 3 hours after being sterilized (we have a UV sterilizer). We bought 3 bottles to ensure that we have ones that are always ready for use.

Very seldom give reviews but this piece of magic kit deserves it. I can’t recommend this kit enough it’s brilliant to have at home but even easier to be on the go with. I don’t use the flask as I find I’m always near somewhere feeding my LO were I can ask for a pot of boiling water. It’s so so handy. It may seem like a waste buying the full kit but trust me it’s not. Having 2 flasks with digital lids is brilliant. Enjoy this piece of magic. Would highly recommend.
Game change
Having been told that our perfect prep was the cause of colic and discomfort (lack of boiled water = bacteria!) we switched back to the good old kettle method. Colic gone but god calling down a bottle is hard work when the baby is crying. Thought I would give this a go and oh my life we wouldn’t be without it! Utterly genius device and even quicker when it’s been soaking in a cold water steriliser. I am just buying a second on in the prime day sale

I use to cold down the water, in minutes you have the boiled water in the correct temperature to be transferred to the bottles, just add the amount of formula needed. Amazing!
I have found this product to be a game changer for us as I have a reflux baby on anti reflux formula, which demands water cooling for 45 mins after boiling, then mixing and waiting 7 mins. Being able to cool the water quickly means that I can respond to the baby’s needs more quickly…thus reducing her stress. The container is easy to use, doesn’t leak and cools the water efficiently. My only complaint would be that the two colour lights aren’t massively different…doesn’t matter to me, but if anyone using it has more limited colour vision they may struggle to see the difference in every light situation.
Love this product! It is really useful and safe to use to make formula bottles on the go, I take a good flask with me with a temperature reading lid so I know the temperature of the water is above 70 degrees before adding the formula. I then place in this flask and it cools to the correct temperature. Only thing I would say is to sterilise it at least an hour before taking it out as if it stays hot from ten steriliser it takes longer to cool the formula. So sterilise it and then let the bottle cool down before using it or taking it out. I sterilise and leave the lid off.

Can’t live without i
Ended up buying two of these. Such a great product. One thing I would say is make sure you read the manual on how long to keep feed inside for. Even though it goes green it will still be too hot. I only realised after properly reading the manual that the 6oz feed which we are on should be kept inside for 5 mins +. It’s weird sometimes it won’t turn yellow at all and sometimes it will you just have to read the manual for the amount of feed you are putting in and go by that!

I am rewriting my original review. I didn’t like this at first, I didn’t give it a chance but now I use it 5/6 times a day. I don’t use it the way they guide you (like making the formula in the nuby bottle). I top this nuby bottle with boiling kettle water, let it cool. Whenever i prepare a milk bottle I boil the kettle and use 1/4 boiling kettle water for the formula powder (I measure it using my food scales in ML). once the powder is mixed I add 3/4 cooled water from my nuby bottle. I make all my bottles this way, it is one of my favourite items. Id definitely buy it agai
One of if not the most beneficial purchase we have made when it comes to making our lives a little bit easier caring for our little one. As any parent will know, feeding time can often come when you least expect it, the shrill wail of your little one demanding they need food NOW!
The Nuby rapid cool has a weighty feel to it similar to a thermos only slightly heavier. The slightly roughed texture of the bottle makes it easy to grip and work with. The lid sports a domed piece of glass with a small touch sensitive spot that indicates the temperature of the contents.
In a nutshell:
Step 1: Pour your boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool until the the desired amount.
Step 2: Thereafter add the formula powder and close the lid .
Step 3: Shake the bottle to ensure the powder is well mixed into the water.
Step 4: invert the Nuby rapid cool every few minutes, hold it inverted for 5 seconds and tap the lids sensor to measure the contents temperature. Green means ready to dispense, yellow means wait almost done, red means scalding hot (Never seen the red indicator).
When pouring in the boiling water is inormal to hear a cracking sound, I assume this would be the gel / special contents in the walls of the Nuby rapid cool, this used to draw out the heat at such a rapid pace.
To after dispensing the formula into a bottle I always add some more boiling water into the Nuby rapid cool, close the lid and shake it again, this to give it a quick clean taking 90% of the cleaning job away when you need to properly clean it.
I do believe for the bottle to reset you need to wait around 3 hours before using it again to get its full efficacy of drawing out the heat at a rapid pace.

Can’t recommend this enough. The logistics for formula feeding is hard enough in the beginning, what with learning feeding cues and cooling. Especially so if you don’t have the option, for whatever reason, of using premade in a pinch.
Have used at home and on the go.
Wouldn’t be without it. It’s been particularly useful for night feeds and has allowed me a good extra hour or so of sleep.
Somewhat frustrating that the cooldown time is so long. Note that’s it’s a bit better if you use cold water sterilisation instead of uv.
The volume markings on the inside are not that easy to read, so making the formula straight in the flask can be a bit hit and miss. I tend to measure the water in a feed bottle first to get round this.
The ‘yellow’indicator light can look green which can be a tad confusing.
The green (ready) light is more of an early green. Not bile green (that’s the yellow light)
Despite these downsides it’s grand. I’d buy it again. I’d buy it as a baby shower gift too.
