5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of magic happening in my house now!
After seeing a Harry Potter wand in the Harry Potter shop at Heathrow recently, my son (5) made me promise to buy him one.
I wasn’t prepared to pay 60 for a wand, especially as my son has a knack for breaking things quite easily.
I bought him this one as a surprise and his eyes lit up when he opened the Amazon envelope.
The cardboard packaging it comes in is nice but it was dented and ripped at the top so if this is a gift for someone then I suggest buying early enough to exchange or refund if yours comes damaged too.
The little card it comes with is a nice token, although my son isn’t that interested in it so it sits in a shelf in the kitchen.
The wand itself is well made, looks fab and has a little weight to the handle which adds to the realism.
My son loves this wand and is frequently casting spells around the house nowslightly annoying when you’re trying to do the washing up and he runs up behind you and casts a freezing spell on you.
My 1 yr old has bashed it around a few times already and it bends really well so I see this wand lasting us a good while, maybe dare I say itat least a year.
For the price, this would be an excellent gift for any small (or large) wizard in training.
The item itself was great my daughter loved it. But unfortunately the packaging was broken on the plastic see-through part. If I child got thier fingers stuck in there it would probably hurt. So I taped it before I gave it to my daughter for her birthday. But the packaging did not matter because her face when she opened it was the important part. And plus the the wand is the part you keep.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality
I’ve seen some wands that are almost identical to this at much higher prices! The quality is great, and the design on it is near perfect, my daughter loved it!
Bought for a 6yr olds birthday is is Harry Potter crazy and it’s perfect. She loves playing with the wand. Appears to be quite sturdy (it has been smacked against a wall a few times and still is fine!)
Lovely item for Harry Potter fa
I had this sent to my niece the actual amazon del was fine but once she opened box to find the main packaging was damaged bit is happy with her Harry Potter item
Perfect toy
I own several offical wands from WarnerBros tour London & my 10yr old daughter wanted one. The wands are 30 each and sturdy so I thought I would buy her this. She is very happy with thr purchase. I placed her wand next to my Lucius Malfoy wand just incase others were unsure about scale.
Okay toy
This wand was much more than I expected.
The kids played so much with the wand I was worried they would break it
So far, not broken yet but it’s more of a collectible
It’s a pretty small wand and there is not much to it
Would be much better if it lights up
A great tot for young wizards
This is great. It’s a full size wand that will empower any kid to become the best wizard or witch they can be.
It’s a great toy, but it is a toy. It’s very plasticy, so not something that you would stick on a shelf and admire. But it’s only 15, so of course it is! It’s resilient, durable, and will withstand getting thrown across the room during spell mishaps.
The box is cute too, it comes with a few cards which again are targeted toward kids.
I really like this, and my nephew (8yrs) loves it.
Wingardium Leviosa! Expelliarmus! Expecto Patronum! Cast your spell.
This Wizarding World Authentic 12-inch Harry Potter Wand with Collectible Spell Card comes in a small branded cardboard box, with see-through plastic window. The branding is a little bit cartoony for an adult, and more suitable for a child, suggesting this is more of a toy, than a collectible. With that said, it would still look nice on a shelf as part of your Harry Potter collection. The small card (think a baseball card) contains an action to pretend to cast a spell with the wand.
Inside the box is the card and a plastic, rubbery wand made to look like wood. The bottom handle is a darker shade of brown than the rest of the wand (which is light brown), and the wand looks fairly realistically carved. Because the wand is like a rubbery plastic it won’t break easily or get damaged if dropped. To be honest, this is quite expensive for what you get, then Harry Potter merchandise usually is. It is an official product (although don’t expect The Noble Collection quality), and it is well made for a child to pretend to perform spells. It’s just whether you can get onboard (the Hogwarts’s Express 🙂 with the price.
Please note: I reviewed Harry’s wand.

I got this for my daughter, who is a mad keen Harry potter fan. It’s a replica of Harry’s wand, complete with spell card. It comes boxed and is obviously meant to be a collector’s piece. The price reflects that. It’s nicely made. I resisted the temptation to cast any spells with it, think I’ll leave that to my daughter! She is going to love it.
A nice collectable, but doesn't feel good value
If you’re looking for an affordable replica wand from the Harry Potter world, then this is probably it. However this Harry Potter wand falls into an odd situation of being a bit expensive simply to be a toy, but not seeming to be quite high-quality enough to be a collectable for the discerning collector.
If you’re going to keep the wand boxed as a collectable, then fair enough, but opening the box for a closer look, particularly if you want to learn the spell on the spell card, you’ll find that the box is fiddly to open, and there was plastic tape stuck to the front of the spell card, which could cause damage if removed carelessly, or by excited young hands.
That said, as soon as it was out of the box, I quickly heard an interested “Ooh! Is that a real wand?” from my son, and he grabbed it and was off casting spells with enthusiasm. This was a useful reminder that his reaction makes my thoughts on this product largely irrelevant.
It’s all very well grumpy old men like me moaning about value for money, but at the end of the day this is a toy, and if you have a keen Harry Potter fan in the house, this will more than likely delight them.
This is your chance to be Garrick Ollivander and match a wand to your young wizard, but only if you have the Galleons to buy it.
Nice looking wand for the Harry Potter fan, expensive though
At first looks I didn’t think this was an official product, with the Anime style Harry Potter on the box. But it is the Warner Bros Wizarding World range, complete with price to match.
What arrives, in a minimally packaged box (mine was a little squashed during delivery) is just the wand, along with a credit card sized piece of… card. This has Harry on one side and the name of a spell on the other. Presumably this is to encourage you to buy the others in the range but it’s kind of underwhelming.
The wand at least is a good replica of Harry’s wand with the right shape and colouring and a reasonable amount of detail. It’s plastic with some give in it but I wouldn’t recommend flexing it too much. Naturally we all had a go at casting a spell (I was very careful to pronounce wingardium levio-SA just like Hermione) but clearly we’re all Muggles as nothing happened.
It’s plenty good enough for the aspiring junior wizard in your household. If the more mature wizards among you fancy it for your replica collection… it’s not as nice as the wooden ones you find on the official store, but then they’re 3 times the price so you get what you pay for.
We went for Harry’s wand, 8 year old loves it and for what it’s intended to be, a toy, then it’s perfect. It’s lightweight, flexible and is detailed enough for what it is. The cartoony style of the box implies that it’s meant to be used as a toy.
Like most things Harry Potter, not the cheapest.
If your wanting a collectible with fine detail to be displayed, then you’ll be going for a different collection.
Harry Potter mad daughter loves this wand
As soon as my daughter saw this wand she opened it up and immediately started putting spells on everything in the house. She is really into Harry Potter at the moment so this is perfect for her. It’s a nice and light weight wand and so far seems fairly robust.
