These salt and pepper mills look good and feel sturdy. My only gripe is that the dial at the bottom of the mills that changes how fine it grinds, doesn’t really work. It’s too loose, so doesn’t stay put, and end up with near whole peppercorns or salt crystals in our food!

The salt and pepper pots are easy to use and fill having a wide neck. Stand is plastic, not metal as shown in picture. Great buy, would make a great gift for anyone who like to grind their own salt and pepper.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI don’t usually post reviews unless I am absolutely delighted with a product and it exceeds my expectations, these did. The photographs from previous reviews didn’t really gauge the size so I’ve posted mine next to a box of tissues from a well known supermarket! Yes, they were bigger than expected but I’m delighted with them, love the carry basket and the fact that the grinders are on the top under a cap means absolutely no mess, highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love these!

This looks really good on the dining room table. Comes out well but one of the kids has never fitted 100% correctly and it keeps popping off but glad I purchased all the same.

Think these might be the best salt and pepper mills I’ve ever had. It actually grinds the salt really fine. Ones I’ve had in the past from a well known brand tend to still give you huge chunks and don’t seem to grind the salt. Not these ones! Really good value for money

After my teenager broke my last grinders I struggled to find a decent set but stumbled upon these. Not only attractive, they are sturdy in design and very easily adjustable for the perfect grind. Currently using these just for salt and pepper but will be investing in another set for some spice mixes.

Seem well made and do the job. Only annoying thing is the lid that you have to take off each time – bit of a pain when you’re cooking and there’s a good chance the flat metal lid will end up in the recycling bag. Wish the lid was hinged.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersHad this previously but the whole grinder top broke on the salt one and just the grinder broke on the pepper one.

Had them for a good few years, but both broke probably from lack of care. I would recommend not using them for when cooking, as the steam gets the salt and peppers stuck on the grinders from the moisture from the steam.

Apart from that it was very sturdy and easy to fill up and use, it also has lids so nothing goes in or out and the shakers doesn’t leak salt and pepper like a lot of shakers do with their opening facing down, this one faces up.

This has more capacity than a lot of the bigger fancier electric ones (was very tempted to get electric ones) but decided on going back to these due to the capacity and just generally easier to use and these now come with the rack.

I have gotten the new ones now for a month or so and only use it exclusively for served dishes not whilst cooking anymore. This should preserve and keep the shakers from wearing quicker.

I would recommend this if you just want a high capacity, sturdy and easy to use shakers that have their own rack with handle.

A great set of salt & pepper Mills, bit surprised how big they are and they have their own carry basket so no chance of losing one like the toppers to keep airtight, decent product would recommend

The pots are great, they hold a lot of salt and pepper. They are also very easy to use and feel quite sturdy
I was only disappointed that the kids are not “flip” type and can easily be los

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice pots but lids are seperate

Unfortunately did not concentrate enough on the sizing. They are enormous not for table use. However as don’t want the issue of returning shall gift them to charity shop. So unfortunately cannot give you a more positive review.

Disappointed with the metal holder provided with the grinders. I was expecting the Perspex holder as shown in the photos or even the wooden one also shown in photos. However the grinders appear well made, generous size and made of glass, grinding action is good. Just note that the grinders are supplied empty

4.0 out of 5 stars Grinders ok but……

They are good. Had them a couple years now and one bit on the pepper one you have to hold tight while grinding. Ill have these at least a couple more years though

Seems fine so far but with a lot of these grinders they seem to wear out within a few months. Comes on a little plastic tray as well which is great. Sturdy and great to use. They sent me an email with a 1 year guarantee which is unheard of usually and a very nice touch. Thanks so much.

Our old pepper mill gave up the ghost so decided to go for what we thought was a different salt & pepper mill set. Decided on a mill set from Olivers Kitchen, not too expensive at 12.99. The set duly arrived the following day and to our surprise the new mill set from Olivers Kitchen was exactly the same as our old set branded H&S. In short if you decide to buy this set save yourself 3 and buy the H&S branded set. They’re exactly the same.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersFantastic price for two good sized grinders. The photographs include a 2p piece to give an idea of scale, they’re not small and dainty. They’re a decent size, hold lots of salt/pepper and feel good in the hand. You can adjust the grind from fine to coarse, which is important as you might not want the same setting for everything.

Two moans. First, and this one is minor, the plastic base looks and feels cheap, I suppose it’s there if you like it or need to use it, I think we’ll bin it. Second, and it should have been clear from the item pictures but I didn’t consider it, taking the caps off before you use them is a faff. It isn’t difficult, but it’s one more thing to do. You can’t really leave them off, as grinder up would get fluffed up with dust, and they don’t look right upside down as the underside of the glass is ridged.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good grinders, great price, two minor gripes.
