This is a good game. The person drawing draws in the air, and what they have drawn appears on the TV behnd them (which they can’t see). There is a bit of added fun in that you naturally draw things all skewed as you are drawing in thin air and can’t see what you have already drawn.

Others have to guess what they have drawn.

    A good game.

If you are a dictionary fan – you will love. If you are a Star Wars fan – you will love. If you are just someone looking for a fun game – you will love.
This is great for the whole family, and everyone really enjoyed playing. The only downside was the arguing over the Lightpen!
Well made, well packaged and good value. Recommended.

As a big Star Wars universe fan I was really excited to try this. In summary, once you get it working it’s good clean fun, but getting it working well is a bit of a challenge. Similar to another reviewer, we had some early accuracy issues which by trial and error we seemed to narrow down to our patio doors and closing the blinds sorted them. It took some time to find a compatible android device as our older tablets wouldn’t work with the app, and we ended up having to use a phone. Once we got setup we found it really entertaining though, and anyone who’s seen at least three of the movies from the franchise should have a generally decent sporting chance at performing well in the game. It’s pretty wide and open and isn’t designed to only test hardcore facts and nuances, but there are options to give most people a decent chance.

4.0 out of 5 stars technically tricky to get running with, but then great fu

This game is brilliant for anyone who loves Star Wars. I’m not one of them, unfortunately, so I have to admit that I found this frustrating and confusing but my kids and niece who love star wars have had so much fun playing this and it has kept them occupied for hours over the summer holiday. It is easy enough to set up and if you have Apple TV then you can even have it on your television, but if not then you will need a smartphone or tablet to play this. It is clever and lots of fun, it has been great to hear the laughter as this has been played.

The look of the whole thing is excellent, it’s very well made. The Star Wars design of the pen as R2D2 is good as are the cards and the app. The gameplay takes a lot of getting used to, you draw blind towards the rear camera of the device with the app and the camera picks up the colour of the top and draws a lightsaber type line on the screen, keeping inside the boundaries of the screen though is very difficult, I always go too exaggerated and go off the edge and it’s hard to tell without being able to see. I love the idea of it.
The app gives loads of extra game types to play with the Star Wars, happy potter etc to choose from.

I found it easier to play using the airplay on the TV and us being able to see the screen as well with the phone camera pointed back us from more of a distance.

It’s a classic game and is really good fun until the kids start arguing about it which is no fault of the game.

    Top game

Pictionary Air Star Wars Family Drawing Game, Lightpen, 112 Double-Sided Clue Cards, Hands-Free Phone Stand, Gift For For 8 Year Olds & Up is currently at the price of 22.99 including next day quick delivery and 30 day free returns if anything goes wrong with the product.
The most important thing to note is that in order for the game to work on your TV you will need to have an apple tv, as otherwise you won’t be able to use it without it and only be able to put the game on your phone or tablet, which might not be as good as having it on a bigger screen like TV. I did try to get the app for my iMac to maybe be able to use it on there but it doesn’t seem that they have created an app compatible with iMac – only for tablets and smartphones. I cannot comment on windows products as I have none.
Once you have all that’s needed to get the appropriate app, it will be lots of fun to use this Star Wars-themed Pictionary game.
I think it is important to mention that some of the items on the clue cards to guess might be hard for someone who is not a proper Star Wars fan, as even though I do like it, I had an issue with some of them guessing who is who.
I think this will be a great item to get for someone who is a big Star Wars fan as well as someone who has the right equipment to use it on the TV screen.

As we love both Pictionary and Star Wars, this truly was a match made in heaven. It’s easy to get the hang of and it’s a lot of fun. We played it with family members who don’t know much about Star Wars and they still enjoyed the game. A great game which transcends the ages.

This is a fun variation of the standard Pictionary game. No paper!

You need to download the app to use the game which explains how to play.

If you have a compatible TV the app can be mirrored to your tv. I don’t so just using my iPhone.

Aim your smart device camera at the ‘drawer’, they draw in the air with the special ‘pen’ and their scribble appears on your screen. Very clever and provided plenty of laughs in our house. It is really difficult to draw in mid air when you can’t see what you are doing!! If you find it too difficult there is an option to play using selfie mode so the drawer can see what they are drawing on the screen. This makes it slightly easier.

Plenty of clue cards with ‘easy’ on one side and ‘hard’ on the reverse. This relates to the picture clue only, and is aimed at very knowledgeable Star Wars fans! The written clues are the same difficulty on both sides. The first 4 clues on the card (not Star Wars themed) are worth 1 point, then there is a Star Wars themed picture clue worth 2 points.

Great value for money family game which is easy to set up and easy to use, and with a bit of practice could become a firm favourite.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great fun!

This is pictionary air star wars’ themed game. It includes a single AA battery powered pen which is used to draw the clues… which will magically appear on the downloaded app.

    Things I liked:
    – an interactive game which doesn’t require a whiteboard or flipchart
    – clever use of R2-D2 wand to display air drawings on the tablet|
    – fun and interactive

Overall, this is a pictionary brought upto date with modern early 21st century technology. Perfect for real Star Wars fans. May the force be with you!

I was so excited when I saw this, my partner and a lot of our friends are Star Wars fans and it could make for some great nights in. When we first set it up to test it we had alot of trouble. There was drawing on the screen when we were even moving the pen or what we were drawing kept connecting to other places on the screen. After some experimenting we realised we were way to close to the screen for a start, setting it up further away, we made sure we were away from windows/tv screens etc but anything with a slight reflection and it can play up a little. Once we got the hang of it we did enjoy it. The app gives you the option to record the games from the phone screen, you can also change the timer as the default 30 seconds just wasn’t long enough. You also don’t need to be much of a Star Wars fan to play, each card gives you 4 words to draw clue for and the final picture is star wars related. The pen requires a AA battery that’s not included and requires a screwdriver. As you can see from the second photo the pen has a dirty mark which won’t wipe off and the fact that the accuracy and ease of using it isn’t the easiest I’ve knocked off a star. The concept is amazing it’s just not as easy to play as I’d have hoped.

4.0 out of 5 stars Love the concept but it’s not perfec

This game is fun and creative but you need a lot of knowledge about Star Wars to really enjoy the game.

As a fan of Star Wars I was really looking forward to playing this but I played with my family and they struggled to guess and even draw the pictures as they don’t know alot about Star Wars.

The game is easy to set up and the mobile app is fun to use and has some good animation.

The air pen you use is really accurate and works well so you can clearly see what your drawing.

Overall this is a fun game for true Star Wars fans.

    Pictionary Air ‘Star Wars’ Edition.

My grandsons love Star Wars and of course they love technology. I had played the original Pictionary many years ago. The Pictionary Air version is great fun to play, and the rules of the game are easy to understand and follow. The Stars Wars theme is the icing on the cake.

I saw a youtube video ad with the Pictionary air technology and I was intrigued. If you are a Star Wars fan then you’ll love this Pictionary-themed set. It comes with the Star Wars-themed pen, you’ll need the Pictionary air app to complete the gameplay. Using augmented reality watch as the pen draws pictures on a device. I think on the one drawing it is hard to remember where you drew on without a physical board/paper. Overall this makes an ideal game set for family and friends.

This is pictionary with a twist. It interacts with technology and is Star Wars themed. All for under 25. What’s not to love?!

It’s a fun take on traditional pictionary where you draw in the air and the teams see what you have drawn by using the app (which you need to download) on a smart device (a phone is fine). You draw with a pen which looks a bit like a mini light saber but is in the colour scheme of R2D2 (such good theming for the pen). The drawer can’t necessarily see what they are drawing which adds to the amusement of the game.

You also have a droid on your team (in the app). They can give you bits of help whilst you are playing which is a good feature!

It is a great game for all the family, especially if you love Star Wars (and we do).

It was 22.75 when I ordered. I got it through vine for this review. However I wouldn’t have been disappointed with the game if I’d paid that price for it because it’s really good quality. You can’t help but expect a slight uplift in price for a Star Wars/ Disney themed item so I think it’s reasonable.

Star Wars themed Pictionary. This is a really good family fun game which is made even better if you also love Star Wars. It seems to be a yearly buy this product in our family as it’s great for group events during day birthdays and Christmas. This is the official product so always the best and I have found it to be set at a very affordable price. Really easy to use, comes with loads of cards for playing and arrived in lovely packaging. Would make a wonderful gift!
