This is a good device that has plenty of information on the colourful display. Easy to set up as it recognises the external monitor as soon as batteries are installed. The type of external monitor is very common and inexpesive to replace if it becomes water damaged. THe clock on the weather station is not radio controlled but seems to keep time accurately. The only major downside to this product is the ease of reading the display when it is battery powered. You can touch the top to see the information or power this with the included USB lead if a socket is handy and the display is well lit (the display is illuminated always if external power is attached). Overall I am happy with this device wheen considering the cost.

This just works fine. At first the temperature seemed some way out but once it had settled down it is showing the exact same temperature as the room thermostat and a digital thermometer. I haven’t cross checked the external temperature but it seems accurate – I really just want to know if it’s hot, warm. cold or freezing when I go out. It’s reasonably clear to read. I used Duracells in the outside unit and Eneloop rechargeables in the base unit.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis was a present for my dad and he’s really happy.
It was well packaged and postage was fast. Was easy to set up and link the outdoor sensor.
It stands up nicely on the side board and is easy to read.
The colours are really nice too.
It’s plugged into the mains via usb port so the display is on all the time. You can run off batteries if need be.
It seems to be quite accurate with the weather too.
The fact it has moon phases is a bonus as my dad loves to use his telescope and after missing the last full moon he now can see exactly when it’s due.

I think this is good value for money it’s a very accurate and you can bypass the batteries by using a USB lead so the batteries become a standby the settings are quite easy and self-explanatory and change everything to your desired way for example Centigrade, Fahrenheit etc,and it’s a very clear colour screen, which is great. So I’m very happy with this product and I will easily recommend

It worked well straight out of the box and hooked up with the outdoor sensor without prompting. The display is clear and very informative. The sequential settings are less easy though.

I purchased this as a gift and set it up before gifting. It was very easy to set up & was working in minutes! The screen is very user friendly. The colours on the screen add to it’s value. Would definitely recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI have had several such climate sensor systems before and this is more easy to set up than others. However the best feature is a USB power supply, which should save the cost of batteries (and their leakage). The display is bright and colourful and thus easier to read in the dark, with a touch on a specific area of the equipment, which is automatically turned off after a short period for reading.

I love the bright display when plugged in, I leave mine on all the time (hope the screen does not burn out!).
Easy to set up too. Perhaps the the temp sensors are a little slow to react to changes? Best Weather Station I have had so far.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery poor instructions for setting up and changing dates, times, etc.
The device itself is excellent but the setting up instructions appear to have been written in Chinese, then translated 3 or 4 times ending up with pigeon English!
How about sending me a reprint?

Got this to replace my last weather station that had gone very wonky.
The colour display looks good and is much easier to read.
setting up was ok apart from it wouldn’t pick up the radio time and location, so did manually which was easy.
I would say it reads about 1 degree less than the indoor temperature, compared to our central heating thermostat, and slightly warmer for the outside temp by 1.5 degrees.
Indoor humidity reading seems about right, outdoor humidity seems to read higher than my other devices, I’ve no idea which is correct.
It looks nice, has run faultlessly for a month or so.
Quite expensive in comparison to previous weather stations I’ve had, but they didn’t have the nice colour display.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery easy to read and install. Weather isn’t always right on it but if you want a up to date weather report look out the window.
Works with batteries and also mains supply. I prefer the latter as with just batteries the display goes dark quickly. Overall a great little weather station.

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for indoor/outdoor temperatures

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI’ve only had this weather station a few days but so far it seems fine. Dead easy to set up and a very colourful and readable display. If you choose to power it by battery the screen is dark and you need to push a button to get it to light up the display so you can read it. If powered by the provided USB cable the screen is alight all the time so I have chosen that option and mounted it on a wall so it’s easy to read.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI quite like this unit, small enough to sit unobtrusively on my work desk and, for the most part, easy to read.

Setting up was easy enough, yet to see if it’s smart enough to adjust time from UT to BST or not..

Good range on the outdoor sensor, picked it up no problem at all.

    My only “complaints” would be:
    1. You can see right in centre of the pic I attached, the barometric pressure.. the “tendancy” arrow is right on that tree trunk and is virtually impossible to read.
    2. That weather picture is fixed. Shows a sunny day whist predicting rain. That’s a very small issue though
    3. I really dislike the flashing clouds for intermittent sunny spells. Unit sits on my desk and it can just be distracting sometimes having the clouds flash..

As I say though, still like the unit.

Golden Review Award: 72 From Our UsersI purchased this unit to replace a rather larger one that I’d had for some time, which was a bit too big. This one is about the size of an A5 envelope and it has a neat stand so that it can be tucked away in the corner of my kitchen.

It is USB or battery (2 x AAA) powered, but although there is a lead supplied, neither mains plug nor batteries were included which is a bit annoying but it’s the only negative aspect of the product. The widget that you place outside also requires batteries (not supplied ). Nevertheless, it calibrated very quickly with the unit and displayed the correct temperature within the space of about 20 mins. I tried operating from battery at first, but realised that the backlight doesn’t light until you touch the button on the top, and even then it isn’t lit for long as I guess it’s been programmed to preserve battery life. I wanted to be able to see it from afar, so I promptly looked out a mains lead to use with the USB and that resolved my issue.

The detail on the screen is excellent. It has a kind of 3D effect which adds to its appeal. You can personalise the setup to whatever units you wish the readings to measure in (eg Centigrade, Fahrenheit, etc). It shows indoor and outside temperature and humidity, pressure, date, moon phase and forecast, added to which there are trend ratings for each measurement which I have found to be consistently accurate.

I am delighted with this product and would recommend it highly, with the caveat that you need to supply your own AA batteries and USB mains plug.

4.0 out of 5 stars Non-intrusive monitor with detailed, accurate informatio

Golden Review Award: 47 From Our UsersHaving purchased this weather station on the back of several good reviews, I was surprised that not one of them mentioned the fact that the backlit display only stays illuminated when the unit is plugged in. If running on batteries, the display goes dim after 15 seconds and you have to touch the top of the unit to light it up again.

Although this unit comes with a USB lead, it does not include any 5V power supply so you will need to provide your own if you want to keep the display lit all the time (which I did).

Follow the instructions step by step and the unit is reasonably easy to setup although I did find that when I tried to adjust the time on the unit afterwards, that pressing the setup button on the back didn’t do anything and it was necessary to un-power the unit and start setup all over again.

Also I concur with other reviews that question the waterproofing of the external sender. To be on the safe side I have put insulation tape round the battery compartment joints on mine before putting it outside in the rain!

These gripes aside, the weather station is really quite good with just the right amount of information displayed very clearly (some other units I looked at were just way too confusing). Inside and outside temperatures seem quite accurate and time will tell if the forecast feature is correct.

So all in all a bit of a mixed bag but for 25 you can’t expect everything so still worthy of 4 stars.
