Bonsai forrest in the making
Banzai is the Japanese word which literally means, may you live for ten thousand years.
The world’s oldest bonsai tree is 1000 years old and I have a cardboard box, plastic pots and a hand full of seeds.

Easy to assemble, but doesn’t require as much water to mix the planting material.doesn’t say whether to cover with cling film to encourage germination or not . I have done so we will see.
Would make a beautiful gift to someone who loves planting and anything Bonsai related! Once I got the hang of the instructions it was pretty easy to put together.
Two of the Bonsai tree seeds require a winter which means 12 weeks give or take in the fridge! Keeping an eye for when they start germinating you can then plant them! Another seed requires emulsion in water first before planting.
Really looking forward to seeing this grow and fingers crossed I am lucky, as I can see from the reviews everyone has gotten lucky! I would love to give my other Bonsai Tree a friend so would love to see what comes from this. I plan on repotting as soon as there is a strong growth coming in!
Good value for money
This is a very good idea good quality and good value for money
My only gripe would be that the compost pellets could do with a little wrapping as they were all broken up which isn’t ideal as it’s for a gift and I now need to replace them
I got this product to grow some herbs in my kitchen. It’s easy to grow, you can follow the instructions. You get a good variety of seeds only trouble is, you get loads of some seeds & only a couple of a different kind. Some of the herbs grew very quickly and the ones with only a couple of seeds didn’t grow a lot which was very disappointing. Would be a nice gift for someone if it came with more seeds.
Great but be mindful of dates to pla
I was so excited to plant these but they all had different planting dates which was something I wasn’t aware of. The chilli grew really well but the others didn’t last. I do not blame the set though, I’m not the best gardener!

Great gift idea bought for my dad and hubby for fathers day to give them a project during winter as they won’t be able to do gardening. They loved them.
Missing items
I bought this for my dad as a birthday present and he loves it but has recently discovered that the 10 pots that are ment to come with the kit are missing and he is unable to plant the seeds. Please let me know what I can do.
Great little Bonsai ki
First of all two of the sets of seeds need to go into fridge for 12 weeks but I’ve planted the other 3 sets and also got quite a few extra seeds, 10 Of each so have used a propagation tray I had to plant the extra. I will come back and review in a few months to see if it works.(2nd photo after 8 weeks). Perseverance is key.
Great Gift!
Bought the Bonsai as a Father’s Day gift and my dad, who has a love of Bonsai, was absolutely made up by this.
It’s so well put together and a great idea for something that’s a little different.

I brought the Cactus version for my father for a daft father’s day present for the guy who has everything at78 years old , he loved it. Easy to put together and so many seeds, this is a great little gift. Thank you guys
Bonsai seeds
Not quite what i was expecting and involves a lot of pre prep work with some not available for 12 weeks so rather than try and sow at the same time I have dated them on the day of sowing
Nice little set, you get a good few seeds of each type too which is a bonus…if they germinate
The Cayenne and Jalapeno seeds have grown like wildfire and are already in larger pots 🙂
Next are the Anaheim and Habanero’s which are starting to sprout and so far so good, these just seem to take a little longer
Now the Naga’s…you get much less of these seeds and they also seemed a lot more ‘dry’ in the packet if this makes sense – Needless to say these have done nothing, I’ve even dug a few up to check and not a single tiny root or sprout has occurred and they have had the same attention as all the rest of the seeds
Overall, 4 out of 5 are growing so you get 4 out of 5 stars
Only the Jalapeo and Cayenne seeds seemed to have sprouted but guess that is luck of the draw or I didn’t wait long enough (apparently Naga and Bonnet can take longer) but either way happy with it as I’ve got about 6-7 that did sprout within two weeks and growing fine.
Good instructions
Arrived on time on opening it was apparent this was an ideal starter kit with individual instructions for each seed helping with preparing individual seed so you don’t just plant and fail (which I have done many times) everything is in this box I haven’t planted yet when I have shoots I will upgrade this review with pics

I had quite good growth for a few weeks followed by a sudden and seemingly unexplainable death. This could very well be error on my part, its just difficult to know where it went wrong which is why I’ve personally had far more success growing in pots without all the added faff. I think relying on a kit like this means I pay less attention to the plant, my thoughts being that as long as I’ve followed all the guidelines it’ll work out, but life doesn’t work like that, there are no set guides, we need to nurture life, be attentive, pay attention to its individual needs, observe and adapt, this is how we grow, but in many ways this lesson was well worth the money spent on this product despite it not having yielded flowers.
Amazing starter kit for chillie heads that want to grow their own spices!
So as the title states, if you love hot food and want to get your hands green and make your own chillies then this little kit is perfect. I have purchased other kits from Amazon, even more expensive and this little kits is the best so far for its price.
The quality build is pretty simple, comes in a small flat box from where you can assemble the 8 plastic seed cases, each holding 2 seeds of each type.
Simply add water to the soil cubes which will expand into damp soil, add this to each plastic case and plant your seeds, it is that simple!
Depending on living situation, you can buy a cheap grow light from Amazon if growing indoors, check some YouTube videos on charing for chilli plants so you know when to pot them.
As for the product, its a 5 star, well developed and already have a plant from each seed germinated within 4 days, I did use a germination tank with a heat mat but please read up on how to use these before buying and going down that route.
If you grow in a germination tank and leave the plants in the tank for too long they will go leggy…
Anyway top quality product, would buy again, oh, I also had plenty of seeds left over!
Well packed, and tiny. It’s absolutely good as a gift. I have at least 6-8 seeds per pack, enough to try 2 batches. The “pots” looked cute once they were formed. I like the idea of having different conditions of germination, hence it would be an interesting challenge. My two “winter” plants are in fridge now, and one is in warm water. When I dropped the seeds into water, there was a bubble out, suggesting they are alive seeds, so finger crossed.
Update: After 2 weeks my seeds started to germinate. So happy! So far I’ll have 5 trees: 1 larch, 2 sweet gums and 2 pines.
About the larch, actually I just left the seeds in fridge for few days then soil, but one seed still germinated. I guess the key thing here is they need somewhere warm and sunny to germinate. So good luck to everyone!
Update 2: After about 10 months, I have 3 plants left: 1 pine, 1 larch and 1 sweet gum. They are in pots now. They all survive over the freezing winter with snow of several days. Fingers crossed!
