fulfilled promise of exterminating house plant fly
ordered in hope that it would exterminate tiny flies which were breeding profically in house plants and which enjoyed any chance of bite from human body–it has succeeded in eliminating the pests.

This brought our box plant back to life. It was on its last legs – completely ravaged by box plant moth caterpillar. The plant was dying and has made a complete recovery.

A convenient way to spray small to medium infestations of green fly. V easy to use and works effectively with quick results. I’ve used it several times and thoroughly recommend it.

    Used on vft's
Had a greenfly attack on my venus fly traps, was recommended this spray as most can harm vft’s. After two doses roughly 5days appart the affected plants are now better than ever unaffected by greenfly and growing lovely.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersGot it for aphids on one of the trees.
It is like a microworld of farming up there. Ants are milking aphids that produce a sticky sugary substance [ it is really sweet and lovely as I tasted it ] that drips down onto the pavement. It also attracts our lovely wasps who happen to be scavengers by nature hence “terrorising” people with children who cannot walk by [ apparently]. I am here to limit the impact and keep the neighbourhood happy and in peace. I would leave all these things in the tree be but I am getting paid for it hence my this not so eco/ nature friendly purchase.
The hotter it gets the more active the aphids are and the pavement is covered in the liquidised fruit of their labour. They keep the ants and wasps very happy but people are always hard to please. Unfortunately.

    *******
Please use it by applying common sense.
Works well but it has to be applied in a correct temperature and dry day. Cannot be too hot or too sunny or wet. It won’t work that well then. Also remember the bees and other “good guys” in the garden , pollinators like beautiful to watch hover fly. Do not use it when they are active in the area. Very early morning or very late evening for aphids is best.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersEffective!
I spot the small groups of tiny wiggling white worms in the saucer water on the bottom of my plant pot, they could come from the coconut composite I used to repot my fern. After reading the instructions, I decided to try it in an “aggressive” way: I didn’t remove my plant nor the soil from the pot, just drenched the soil thoroughly using this formula without diluting, and let the residue run through the drainage holes multiple times. I did it once a night for two nights my fern was not burnt, and the worms are nowhere to be seen now. There’s still less than half bottle left, and several days after I am happy to report that the worms seemed to be eradicated, my plant looks healthy. I’ll be monitoring continuously, hopefully whatever the nests/eggs were in the soil are completely gone. I’ve tried other much pricier formula before but the worms danced in the pricier formula. Finally this bottle saved my plant and solved the problem, and I used it indoors throughout the treatment. No harsh smell nor allergic reactions for me.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersSaviour of roses
I did have a pic of the pests that destroyed my roses last year but it made me feel ill looking at it so I deleted it! Anyway, last year I noticed that rose leaves were curling up and being chewed so that only the thin veins were left. I then saw things emerging that looked like green caterpillars. I sought advice from Apuldram Roses (the experts on all things roses) and they confirmed it was sawfly…disgusting things. Apuldram advised me to get Provanto and it worked like a treat! Unfortunately my roses were rather devastated but what I was advised to do is soon as you see rose buds coming through, spray with Provanto, and this treatment lasts 6 weeks. It also helps to have raked the soil around the base of your roses to disturb any would be larvae. I cannot recommend Provanto highly enough

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersDefinitely buy this, it’s a no brainier!
I am absolutely no gardener – but I do feed a lot of the local wildlife… stay with me a moment
Sunflowers seeds are loved by the visiting squirrels and birds in my garden, but they are sooo expensive to buy, so we decided to grow giant sunflowers but as I say I’ve no idea what I’m doing!!
While tending to the sunflowers I found loads of black bugs and ants all over the stems. 10 minutes on the Internet and I found out they were aphids…. let’s move onto the product!

The reviews for this bug killer pulled me in. I couldn’t find much about if it was safe to use on sunflowers but decided to risk it!
The price was great, so much cheaper than buying ready mixed. I used the smallest dose in my spray bottle so it’s going to last me a long time.
It was tricky to measure into the tiny funnel/jug, I think a small dropper might be better. I careful washed the remaining product from the jug into my bottle but it wasn’t easy.
Tested my mix on one sunflower which I know isn’t going to make it and with in minutes, aphids dead. I don’t like killing bugs, they normally have a reason to do what they do but not these guys! I wanted a couple of days to make sure the spray wasn’t going to kill the plants then went crazy with it!! Sunflowers are still growing strong and no bugs, yay! Note on calendar to respray in 3 weeks if needs be!

Golden Review Award: 83 From Our UsersKilled them. Killed them aaaall!!! [Insert evil laugh]
Killed all the little so and sos. One generous application to about 15 plants. There’s still 1/4 of the bottle left.

If it helps anyone else, here’s the full context: I’d seemingly brought a few things in with a new bag of compost which I’d used to pot clippings and repot some older plants. So I’d spread whatever was in there! Stupid mistake.
By the time I noticed, two had the mealy bugs all over the nubs/junctions on them (this one might have started before the compost issue, but I might have spread it further between the plants when repotting). A few got little gnats or mites. and others got little white bugs, and something that was sucking little holes in the leaves. Maybe scale. Yak, I get so itchy thinking about it!
So this spray seems to have worked at tackling several problems at once. Drenched all the plants once over. Gave the mealy bugs a second application. Here’s a tip- the nubs of the roots actually had mealy bugs on them. So if your plant has them, you may want to dig out the top parts of the roots carefully to check if they are there too. They needed to be sprayed directly. Those ones hadn’t budged by spraying the top of the soil at all.

And the lesson here: I’ll be sterilizing all the compost from now on (microwave!) and ideally I’ll just buy the little dried out tabs that you add water to. It can’t host bugs as far as I know. And spraying them all preventatively every month with a mild dish soap and neem oil combo!

Good luck everyone. We can beat them!

Golden Review Award: 36 From Our UsersBuy it. But be aware it’s a super concentrate !
The first and most important thing is that Provanto ultimate bug killer really works.
It wiped out an aphid infestation on my lupins that the other market leader insecticide (which is similarly priced) totally failed to do.
Secondly, it is advertised as a concentrate, but frankly it is a bit too much of a concentrate making it quite difficult to get out the appropriate amount of liquid for 1 L of water.
0.5ml. Concentrate per 1 Liter of water is a tiny amount – with the result that the user is highly likely to use more concentrate than recommended.
The resultant mixture will kill the bugs stone dead ! So job done ……… but in the real world, you’re never going to get 60 L of mixture out of this small bottle of concentrate provided.
You will get 30 L if you are very careful, but if like me your eyesight is less than perfect, then you’re probably down to 15 or 20 Litres.
That’s still great value for money, but I do wish the manufacturers would dilute their concentrate more so that measuring it out was much more ‘user friendly.’
Will I buy it again? Absolutely yes.
In fact I expect to order another bottle of Bug Killer within a fortnight or so.
Highly recommended product which could only be improved with a bottle Holding twice the amount, but half the concentration of liquid.
Then it would provide enough for 60 litres !
