First ever petrol mower, simple to assemble and very easy to operate. Cuts my lawn no issues and takes a fraction of the time. Replaced a cordless mower which caught fire after 18 months but Amazon gave me a refund therefore cost neutral. I would highly recommend.

This copes well with a lawn 30 square metres. It’s a bit quick on the turns but manageable. I’ve had 3 cuts out if 1 full tank. Good little cutter. Good value.

It was quite easy to put together, as long as you look what the instruction and pull it all out look and start putting it together.
Important. Don’t think you can rush putting together.
After filling oil and petrol give it a couple of minutes to settle, before pulling the cord starter give the rubber oval air button about 8 to 10 pumps then pull the cord and hold the green bar on the handle onto the bar. Once you got that far straiten your
Mower on the grass and slowly pull the black bar to meet the other two bars.
The mower has good cutting power and can run away with you. Letting goof the green bar will automatically stop the mower. The collection bag has good holding support if you put it on correctly.
Try not to leave much petrol in the tank.
You can use this mower on wet or damp grass, so it does not matter if in winter or summer it’s used. Great price for good mower.

This is a great lawnmower. A child could assemble it. It feels a little cheap but it’s actually quite robust.I’ve used it dozens of times since I bought it and it’s reliable, light and the self propelled function is spot on. It travels at a perfect speed, cuts great and starts first or second pull. It’s also extremely frugal. I’m delighted with it and highly recommend it.

We have a medium size garden and this does a grand job of the grassed area. My hsuband enjoys using it and finds it effortless

Just got today. Easy to set up. No problems at all. Free oil in the box was a nice touch as well. As nothing was stated about this in the description. Done full garden and it’s done a brilliant job. Will take some time to get used to the self propelled bit. But nice and easy to use.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this mower a few days ago. Was a bit sceptical due to the price being so low as I was looking at another similar (well known brand) at 3 times the price. How wrong was I. This mower is great. Was a bit fiddly getting the bottom handles on but apart ftom that was easy to put together. Put in some oil (don’t forget to buy some as the mower doesn’t come with any) and some petrol and away I went. It started on the first pull. It cuts the grass with ease. The self propelling lever takes a bit of getting used to (raise it gently), but once you master it the mowing is simple and very quick. The last mower we had was almost 7 times the price but there is very little difference, if any, between them.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBought this after lawnmower died. Lightweight. The screws for the handle didn’t match up correctly with the holes which made assembly of the lawnmower a bit difficult. Started first go but beware takes off like a rocket when you press the self propelled handle. Takes a bit of getting used to. I have used a total of three times now and it has started first go every time. Great lawnmower for the money.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersIt seemed like a bargain and it is, LIDL were offering an unmissable mower bargain which never materialised , THE LIEING B******S, SO luckily searched good ole AMAZON and Bingo they came up with this little beauty,
To be able to purchase something that actually works first time is becoming more difficult, HOORAY

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOverall appears value for money. It starts first time and was pretty easy to put together although I have a
doubt about the plastic inserts where you join the handles to the body. Will they last? Time will tell
as I have had the thing for only a couple of weeks.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersStruggled to put it together. I didnt think instructions were that obvious but maybe its just me. Started first pull, though i have noticed that after warmed up it seems to want 2 or 3 pulls if stopped during cut. My lawn is banked and i always used to push my old mower along the bank so it was at an angle but when i did this the QG40 stalled after running for a while. Got onto after sales service which was quick and excellent and suggested air filter likely to be blocked which proved to be the case, it was oily. Once cleaned no problem and i now go up and down bank at right angles. Grass pick up is excellent. Its speedy and very light. Good value
