Works straight out of the box. No battery required.

Fun to use, and helps me with my study, as I tend to write a lot to help me memorise things. Not bad for a tenner.

you could still use your finger or another stylus-like item if you should lose the stylus that comes with the product.

Bought for my 2 year old granddaughter when she was going on her first flight. It was great & though it didn’t last for a long time, it was a great filler until she got her first Amazon tablet!! Great idea & easy to take wherever you go with little ones.

Keeps my 3/4 year old occupied for at least an hour at a time and he returns to it. But do not leave unattended my one keeps aiming the pencil at his face. No clean up or inky mess, he loves to start over so not waste of pape

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought a smaller, cheaper version of this elsewhere and was sufficiently impressed to try out this bigger one. My main problem with it is that the screen resolution isn’t as good as with the cheap one. Trying to write with it is like writing with a crayon, no matter how thin a stylus you use.

UPDATE – Writing is pressure sensitive. You can get a fine line by using a really light touch. Can be a little bit fiddly, but it is possible.

Also, it claims to be a 15 inch tablet, but the writing surface is less than 14 inch.

Good points. It’s brighter than the cheaper product and comes with a spare battery. All these type of products are very light and easy to use, and this is no exception.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not really suitable for doing maths

Works as expected but first opening og both they would not erase when I pressed the button as it should I unscrewed the tiny screw on the battery cover and fiddled about with battery I think I reversed them .i bought two pads for kids for christmas.
    Both are working fine now
So have a tiny screwdriver handy Christmas morning hhhhhhh….. nothing is mentioned in instructions that I can see …Good toy tho ….

Product arrived and like some of the reviews I’d seen, prior to purchase, there were already marks on the drawing/writing area. For me this was a natural by-product of delivery as well as the actual design of this tablet. Presing the clear screen button removed all marks for me.

Product is light weight, easy to use and a single green colour writing for the one I ordered. Almost perfect for the price point. Almost.

Negatives are that the magnets are super weak. You’re going to struggle to get this to stick to something and write on it whilst mounted, my experience has been that it slides, nor are you going to be able to remove and replace the pen. It’s slot is sturdy, which is great for keeping it in place, but you will have to pick the unit up to get it out. That being said, you can use pretty much anything with a small pressure point on it to write with; Fingernail, cocktail stick, chopstick, generic stick… you get the idea

One massive positive is that mine shipped with a spare battery.

Now I know what I’d be getting then I would definitely be tempted to buy another for around the house. This one was for a general “if you’re going to the shops” shopping list in the kitchen.

To be honest this thing is awesome, very nice just to waste some time, my kid love it too, is big and relatively bright, the only bad thing about it and is big, is that the pen is not attached to the tablet. I mean the pen have a hole for a wire but the tablet have not. So this drawing tablet is for toddlers and you can imagine how good organized they are, keep in mind that you’ll have to looking for the pen after every use, but apart from that is awesome

i love this drawing board ideal for promoting creativity in kids and giving them a great free time activity. I had these in smaller size before but now this 15 inch is the perfect size.

Bought one for a gift and then when I saw it I realised my two girls (4&5) would love it so bought two more. They love the tablet. Always using it. Based on that I’ve just bought another two for some kids birthdays coming up.

Really happy with buying this writing tablet. But there are a few cons, you can’t erase part of writing, there is no way to save and you can’t use it without room light. But when considering the price it is worth and you can save a lot of pape

I bought two of these for my grandsons as part of their Xmas present. One worked, The Other unfortunately didn’t until we changed the battery. Not the best start and caused disappointment for One of grandsons until we could purchase the appropriate battery for it. The concept is good. Shame about the performance of one.

I really like it as easy to jot downs ideas. But it could be better if it was saved on the device. For kids however it is a great writing tablet. My son and niece&nephew very much like it. We bought 3 and happy with them.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust the thing for putting on your fridge door and writing a shopping list , no more chalk and blackboard for me AND if the kids are driving you crazy let them use the tablet to draw on OR put it by your phone to take down numbers or messages OR write down birthday dates so you don’t forget OR write down appointments so you don’t forget …How versatile is that !!!. I know what I am buying friends and family this Christmas…great little gif

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersIf you’re anything like me then you’re looking for something to jot some thoughts, calculations, notes etc down on and are tired of either using up more paper/boards and ink than should be legally allowed and are getting concerned about the money you’re spending buying those!

For me, this was bought to replace a large whiteboard that I had been using for the longest time.
I tried to look for the biggest writing tablet possible and even though this is 15″ and do believe it, the notch at the bottom makes the space less usable. For me, this is something that I’d be using everyday.

    The pros are that:
    – You’ll definitely save money in the long run by not having to buy paper/ink/whiteboards/pens etc
    – The 2x CR2032 cell batteries provided will last a while.
    – In good lighting- i.e. sunlight/daylight/good indoor lighting, the tablet is easily bright enough for what you need it to do
    – Kids should be fine with this and be kept entertained

    Cons:
    – No better built than any other whiteboard- This can be a pro or con depending on who this is for. Not worth the 19 I paid for it.
    – The screen lock on the back will stop you from erasing whatever’s on the tablet but you can still write on it.
    – Screen is hard to see in slightly darker conditions

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBrought this originally with our 2 year old son in mind as he loves drawing an anything that looks like a phone or tablet which at his age is not really good for him and we avoid as much as possible.
We had previously tried one of the glow in the dark light pen drawing pads but to be honest those were completely rubbish so whilst looking for an alternative I came across these lcd pads which just seemed like a more modern version of the magnadoodles I remember from my childhood. At around 20 for a A3 sized pad this seemed incredibly worth a try to keep our son amused.
When it arrived I was amazed upon opening the box at how light weight this pad is and immediately my expectations for it dropped incredibly. But how wrong I was…….
The pad comes with a plastic pen/pencil which is attached to the rear of the pad it is easy to remove but secure enough that it will not fall off and get lost even if knocked about or dropped. Would have been nice to have it attached to the pad with a bit of string/cord for when it’s in use by our son so that he couldn’t drop the pen and lose it but that’s soon rectified and I done this myself with a little bit of nylon string and a hot glue gun. Unlike the old magidoodle which needed a specific tool/pen this pad will work with anything that has an edge or applies pressure to the screen like your fingers. Our son has even managed to use a few art stamps and the sole of his slippers on the screen and it makes a perfect imprint so even if you did lose the plastic pen it wouldn’t be the end of being able to use the pad as there’s always something you could use or find and any cheap stylus would do the job brilliantly.
Wasn’t long before our older kids (13 & 16) decided they wanted to have a go followed very closely by my wife. They all love it and between them have spent hours playing and drawing on it so much so I’ve now had to order another one just so our youngest can actually get a turn on his own toy. After all it was brought for him in the first place.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWhat a great product. I mean, if you have kids, then you know how much paper they waste and go through day in and day out.
On top of this, if like me, you hate the idea that they sit on a mobile phone or tablet playing games and watching YouTube then this is a great alternative where they get to be as creative as they want.
Where it falls flat is that kids being kids, what they don’t like is that the image showing up is barely bright for them to see. And so they play with it for 10min and put it away in frustration. This product needs to keep the kids entertained for at least a 30min car journey.

The next step these writing tablets need to take is 1. Make the screen slightly brighter and 2. Selective erasing rather than full screen wipe.
