I bought this as a gift for my son thinking that it would challenge him. At first it took a while to warm up enough for the colors to show but eventually the colors did appear. He was able to solve the whole cube before the colors faded which I think isn’t quite as much fun! He said it is a good speed cube.

    Hours of fun so far.
Kids love watching the colours change and have had great fun messing the cube up every time someone solves it. Not sure how the colour change will go on those warmer summer days……. might have to put it in the fridge!

If you have it in a semi warm room, you’re going to be able to see the colors, so that kinda ruins the effect of it. But, I just try to collect various types of cubes so this was a good addition!

My son loved this. i got it for him for Christmas because he has been begging me for it. So, I gave it to him for Christmas and he still plays with it. He likes to put it in the fridge so it turns black. Then he would scramble it while it is black and then solve it. I really recommend this Rubik’s cube for anyone who likes them.

I got this for my friend whose addicted to rubiks cubes and he hadn’t found a cube challenging enough so I got him this and it has tested his memory for remembering where the colours are.

Our daughter loves Rubik’s cubes and wanted something that was a little more challenging, so she asked for this. I wasn’t sure how it would work, but she really likes it and it’s not too difficult. Holding the cube in your hand and twisting/turning it, activates the colors on the cube. This is her new favorite Rubik’s cube!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSo, I was very excited to get another Rubik’s cube. I enjoy solving them and the idea of a phantom one was quite interesting, so I ordered it immediately. I was disappointed at first because the colors were revealed already and the cube effects weren’t working. But then, I realized that it may be the warm weather and climate in Georgia. Then I put the cube in the fridge (since my AC must’ve been inefficient for keeping the cube cool) and took it out later. The cube was black and it took a minute for the colors to show up with the heat of my fingers afterwards. I was going to return, but it is actually a great idea and can be a fun challenge, which is why I decided to keep it. It’s a cool gadget that I get to cross off my bucket list!

Cubo particolarissimo.

I bought this for my Rubik’s enthusiast hubby thinking this might stump him (or at least slow him down a little while solving it). Unfortunately for me, it did not. He quickly solved the cube. He had no complaints, other than the color changing feature is a little tough to manipulate if your hands aren’t warm. Overall, a fun cube to add to his collection!

Bought this for our 9 year old who’s gotten into solving Rubik’s cubes. He loved the vanishing colors as an added challenge. It works best in warmer weather/warmer indoor temps, otherwise it takes a bit longer to warm it up enough with your hands.

This is cube number 5 for my son. He’s had it for over a month now and it’s still the one he plays with the most. He likes the look of it, and trying to solve while keeping the colors hidden has been a lot of fun for him. Great gift. Definitely not for beginners though.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought item for 13 year old granddaughter who is a Rubik’s whiz as this is one she had not seen or knew about. She was well impressed with the concept and still managed to complete in her usual quickness.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI tend to run hot so my hands heat it up pretty quick and make it easy to solve lol.

It’s a fun cube to have as a novelty, but don’t buy this expecting it to be a challenge like the Rubik’s Impossible, which is actually difficult.

The sticker’s don’t respond to heat as quickly as you think. It takes a good 5 seconds or so covering it with your finger/palm to heat it up enough to see the colors, and then it takes quite a while before it fades back to black. Because it this, it’s actually pretty easy to solve.

If the stickers faded back to black much much quicker, this might actually be a challenge.

I’m sure the temperature of the room and the temp of your hands makes a huge difference though.

I’m still happy I bought it though because it’s a fun item to add to my collection.

My son solves the rubrics and loved this. Have to warm stickers to show colors. Cube turns smooth and seems solid built. Not like some of the cheap ones. 4 * because came like it went through a war zone

I bought this for my teenage nephew for Christmas who is an expert Rubik’s cube fanatic and it kept him entertained for quite a while, amused by the disappearing colour challenge. Several weeks later and he is still playing with it, though not as often of course, having mastered the initial challenge.
