I bought this for the squirrels. They love it & the small birds. Seems well constructed & looks lovely. Keeps the nuts contained in the inner part & the good thing is the bigger birds leave it alone .
I wanted something for the squirrels as the wood pigeon steal all the nuts even though I have put seed out for them, put this up last night and pow success already
Now everyone s happy. Small animal cafe, all welcome. Me squirrel isn’t bothering the bird feeders. Thus really is a lovely little house. Well made, just hoped it lastsca long time for all enjoy.
Is it great quality? No. Is it well built? Not really. Is it value for money? Yes
As this is cheap I feel the quality is on par (considering the sturdy hardwood ones are 2-3x the price).
So in short this works, I now have 3 squirrels that spend quite a lot of time in my garden. They are fun to watch. I had my money’s worth of entertainment in the first week. As it is my first one I will likely upgrade next time or make one myself.
Other reviews also stated that there were sharp nails sticking out inside the box. I didn’t experience that with the one I received and no sharp protruding nails were found in mine. Due to the nature of the product, I would expect that they are not 100% manufactured to exactly the same standard.
Very pleased with this, it looks great and food is protected from the weather. Not sure how long it will last though but I dont care, it looks so good I would just purchase anothe
