Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is my second purchase of a Samsung SSD. Very straightforward to use with large storage capacity and good value. I bought the Lacdo Hard Carrying Case which was perfect to store the T7 Shield and 2 cables.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery easy to back up all my portable devices, including system back ups. Very quick file transfer and really compact for taking files between sites.

After backing up 2 phones, a tablet and a laptop I had only used fraction of the storage.

Straightforward plug and play. Comes with USB C and USB data transfer cables.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersDespite my mobile phone not recognising the hard drive was connected, a little trouble shooting sorted it out. Glad I went with the 2TB because I wanted to back-up all my photos and free up storage. About 1,500 pictures and videos have been transferred and the hard drive is 81% full. Great little hard drive!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe size and build of this SSD feels great. Purchased the rugged version as I will occasionally take it along on trips and just for that added bit of peace of mind the durability gives and it doesn’t disappoint. Speeds were good, consistent and very comparable to the Sandisk Pro I previously used but no longer will due to their recent reliability issues. This Samsung rugged is physically larger than the Sandisk Pro although despite both claiming similar durability, my bet would be on this Samsung outlasting the othe

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersRoughly about the same size as a credit card and about a thick is a pen. Worked straight out of the box with my Windows PC and Android phone without any formatting required. Also is supplied with a USB to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-C cable.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought a 1tb crucial x8 a few months back which has faster crystal disk mark speeds. When it comes to real world usage, the samsung T7 sheild portable destroys the Crucial in consistent write speeds. You can save money with the Crucial or go with the Samsung which has a much better performance. The crucial 1tb x8 drops speed to HDD levels after 5-6 gb of copying.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPreviously I had 1TB SSDs and I couldn’t figure out a good workflow, having this extra capacity means I can work on several projects and have plenty of space before I need to offload older projects to my NAS.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI love these SDDs. Absolutely perfect for running and recording audio in a studio environment. I have a couple for running sample libraries and another for using as a project recording drive. Super fast, smooth, glitch-free and silent, plus no need for plugboards. Having used HDDs for years, the availability of affordable SDDs has significantly improved the digital recording environment.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is rugged compact, fast and looks the part, after formatting for my Mac, it works like a dream.

The build quality gives my confidence when throwing it in my backpack. And the 2T space works so well, it’s great to edit directly off in Final Cut Pro.

So it’s safe to say I love this price of kit.

Grab one you can’t go wrong

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFast transfer of data being backed up using the enclosed USB C to C cable and the Thunderbolt 3 socket
3/4 mins to transfer 256gb of music photos videos and documents
Runs hot but as it’s only on for 5 mins it’s fine.
Price varies widely on Amazon UK – I bought the bigger size in the US for 2/3rd of UK price for my M2 Mac Mini there.
It too runs hot but maybe faster to transfer 150gb back up.
I also bought a case for travelling.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased a T7 to go alongside my T5, but doubled my storage and went with the 1tb version. USB 3.2 so rapid speeds on file transfer which was necessary for me. Rather than buying the T7 that has the silicone shield case (cost a fortune) I instead bought a silicone sleeve on eBay for a few quid. Now I have a nice, more protected product to take on the go with me. Excellent item.

I liked the fact that it has additional security with the fingerprint reader/scanner. I feel my files are safer compared to my previous HDD. Oh..and it’s quite fast too. I wish it has an inbuilt keyring holder like the SanDisk Extreme does. However this is now my favourite external solid state drive. Delivery came on time too

Product is great. It’s exactly what it says on the box. It’s a (very) fast SSD to use for storage or whatever. It’s durable (I’ve dropped it a few times and it’s still fine) comes with a USB C to USB C and USB B cable

PSSD really neat size and love the colour as it contrasts with the other ext hard disc – not the most important thing I know but useful not to have to stick labels on everything. As to function – so far so good. Plus it arrived much faster than estimated which was very helpful.

Decided to use external storage instead of my laptop’s main storage then I’ve still got all my files should my laptop fail (I also back-up to another drive too). Works well, fast transfer and with more than enough capacity for me. Only issue is the laptop can drop the connection to the drive (not this product’s fault).

This HD is the best I’ve ever bought. I wish they had them in 4TB or more. But the speed, simplicity and physical size just out-rules anything I’ve ever had before. I use it to run big Music Production and Video projects on a M1 Max MacBook Pro. Haven’t had a single lag yet. Where as doing the same work through my normal LaCie hard drive is a painstaking experience. Should have bought this years ago!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’d been using an external HDD for making backups of my files which could take hours to complete, since owning this Samsung SSD backups take half the time than they did before.
The drive is incredibly small and light weight so carrying it around isn’t a problem, also there is no worry about data loss if the drive is accidentally dropped unlike a normal HDD.
There is nothing at all I can say against the product, it may be a little costly but for peace of mind it’s worth every penny.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe first thing I noticed was how well made this is. I am not sure whether the casing is a hard synthetic or an anodized alloy: either way it is solid and has a good weight to it.
I easily installed the software for password and 256 bit encryption.
I formatted for NTFS, as I am using as an external backup for a Win11 PC.
Write speed is a solid 500MBs for large files and about half that for small files. Not bad for encrypted files.
The drive got warm but not enough to cause any kind of concern.
Nice drive at a reasonable cost, as I only need a 1TB drive.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI have spent months fuming over the poor performance of this drive and the other day I decided to post a one-star review. However, it got me thinking. Was the cable which I believed to be an Apple-certified USB C cable OK? So I ordered a new Thunderbolt cable from Amazon for 15 and now the disk zips along, leaving me feeling very stupid but relieved. I hope this will help others experiencing similar problems.

I really like the size and weight of the Samsung T7. I use it with my iPad m1 using the lead provided. Don’t use other leads unless recommended for fast transfer of files. The drive is plug and play so easy to use. It shows up on your iPad as T7. I copy files from iPad and paste in T7. You can add new files and rename them. It’s so fast. It can get warm if transferring very large amounts of data. You don’t have to set up security unless you want to. If you do you need to setup on a computer using Samsung software included on drive. Would fully recommend.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve got several of these now, they’re so cheap but impressive. Speeds are great – I’m working with 65GB 6K pro-res video files, and can edit directly from one of these with no lag, real-time full res.

Would definitely recommend. They come with both USB C and A cables so you can choose which works with your device. Or if you’re sharing with other people you can offer them the option.

Very small, so great for pocketing when you travel and don’t take up much desk space. I just hide mine behind the PC tower.

Not the fastest but great as a handy little external drive. Nice design, quality cables too. Good for the price (bought on sale).
