I’m not usually a review kinda guy, but I am one happy customer right now. I’m enjoying the colour (forest green), the textured finish, the light weight, the dimensions of the bottle, and don’t get me started on the perfectly ergonomic rim – utterly satisfied with the purchase. 10/10 would recommend, might buy another one

Finally a bottle that is not made in the Country that you are not allowed mention on here.
Great bottle BPA free, light weight and holds water well.
I would recommend, however I would also say that the Stainless steel would likely be better as the Aluminum does have a slightly strange taste.

It is a good size water bottle. Great for a day out, going to the gym. It’s tough.
I use it daily as i am outside all day everyday.
    I would recommend it.

Cool bottle, I had one years ago that somehow got lost and I ended up getting a Nalgene instead but Nalgene is too bulky for the same capacity, so after 8 years I’m back with a SIGG, unfortunately the color clearly stated as YELLOW and showing a bottle in a beautiful lively YELLOW is only false advertisement as what you get is the color “mustard” which admittedly I didn’t even know was a color, its mustard in a matt finish, very very far from what I expected and what the image shows, also for some reason the bottle can’t stand flat, very likely poor quality control too… maybe SIGG isn’t what it used to be, or maybe it was never that good to begin with… who knows, now I’ll have to hammer around the bottom until I can get it to stay flat and I’ll have to fool myself into thinking I like that color every single time I see it … bah.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersSo I’ve received my bottles, neither were dented in way; which was lucky as I can see just by how they are packaged for shipment how easily that could happen. I haven’t used them yet so I will update as I go on – however, I am initially giving a four star rating as I bought these at one litre to replace the requirement for carrying single use plastic bottles – the biggest requirement for me was weight. A plastic 500ml bottle weighs approximately 539g when full giving a combined weight of 1,078g for a litre.

Having checked the SIGG website itself and checked the 1l version technical specs it clearly says the weight is 108g. I will stress that this is Sigg’s own website under the 1l bottle – I was very certain to check this thoroughly before purchase. I figured that 30g extra wouldn’t break the back and went ahead. I could see that the traveller version 1l weighed in at 147g and I figured that this may be the difference between the ‘touch’ and ‘traveller’ range.

Upon arrival I weighed the item and it actually weighs 147g. This may sound petty to some people but when you are doing multiple long range hikes over large areas all back to back the weight you carry is a very important factor. I then went back to Sigg’s own website and, sure enough, it says under the 1l bottle 108g weight. I then checked the 0.6l litre version out of curiosity and it also says 108g weight.

I can only conclude that they have transposed the same information over both products – so, yes, it is very light weight but just be aware that there is no weight differential between the touch 1l and the traveller 1l and that the 108g weight refers only to the 0.6l variation.

Not sure how much I can write about a water bottle.

The colour is nice (aqua). It’s metal so keeps the water nice and cool.

The screw-on cap is a little more annoying than I envisaged – having to unscrew and screw it back on all the time. Probably should have bought one with a quick release lid.

Lost one star because there was a very small dent in the bottle. There is no protective packaging apart from a bit of tissue paper wrapped around the outside. Couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of returning, so I just put up with it.

Solid, light, looks the part and doesn’t leak.

One slight annoyance: if filled above 80%, water *climbs* the thread of the cap and spills when opened. Don’t know how else to explain it, water must get stuck in the rubber gasket during transit and the leak when the pressure is released. Not a real issue, just an observation.

    Would happily buy again.

I bought my first Sigg bottle in 2005 and it lasted 15 years. I’ve had to buy two replacements since. This isn’t anything to do with a change in the product: it’s because my kids have abused the bottles beyond their limits. The bottle is lightweight because it’s thin. This means it’s fragile. If you drop it, or (heaven forbid) try the bottle flip trick on hard ground, you will ding the base and crack it. This might happen to you even if you don’t have horribly destructive children, and so you will want something like this:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007X3SWOI

It will add weight, and (more importantly) cost half as much as your bottle again.

I only use this as a cold water bottle for work. I like that the rim is small to drink from – there is very little chance of sloshing it up your face! It’s secure – never had a leak. Handy ring on the top to carry it by. If you drop it – it dents, but it’s still useable. My old one looked like I threw it down a cliff – still worked though! This is my second one. I had the first for a few years and it just got a bit tattered and worn looking so I bought another! I expect in a few years I’ll buy my third. Highly recommend for a cool water bottle.

I’ve used these SIGG bottles in the past and they’re honestly awesome. This particular one I was excited to receive, however it came with a dent which is disappointing given the amount I paid for it and the quality I expected from this company. The product wasn’t packaged properly and I think this is why the dent was caused.

The 1.5l I got this time is more of a matte finish compared to the shinier royal blue one I had in the past. And I particularly liked the double lid feature, which makes it much easier to clean and refill.

I have had this product before and have had it for years but lost my last one. So I knew I was getting an excellent product. One thing has let it down and that’s the packaging, it was put in the box to one side with no protection on that side and has arrived with a dent. It’s not the end of the world but when you buy something brand new it would be nice for the dent to be my fault.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great bottle.

The swiss cross on the bottle is pink rather than white (a light pink, but still pink) and the bottle is Sigg red.
The bottle is great, I’ve been using it every day since it arrived and it’s not leaked or shown any signs of wanting to leak. Sigg is renowned for its quality and this product is no different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb!

Really light and easy to carry. I’d love to see it come with a silicon grip so it doesn’t slip whilst you’re drinking.

I’ve seen some earlier reviews mentioning the dent at the bottom – please note this is from the mould and is there on all bottles. It doesn’t leak at all.

The bottle is built like a tank and maintain fresh water for many hours. The top cap seals water perfectly. Other plastic bottle (or metal/aluminium) can smell bad or even grow mold inside (if you don’t dry them perfectly after each use) but this one has brass coating that help preventing fungus/mold and is much more forgiving (for example if you have to leave water inside for longer time).

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat shape, style and tactile feel. Just the right size to carry around. Some great design points: The plastic coating inside (not sure if plastic is the correct word) makes the water taste good. The round hole in the lid is great to help me carry the bottle around by sticking a finger through the hole (don’t know if that’s what it’s there for) and when you put the lid down, it sits in such a way that the part which screws into the bottle sits upwards so it does not touch the surface the lid is sitting on. A nice touch for hygiene. Don’t know if that was supposed to happen, but I guess it was. These Swiss are damn clever. And I can’t believe how many single use plastic bottles I have not bought as a result of having this, nor how much money I have saved just by refilling this bottle from the cold water tap. This is a must-have.

The image doesn’t do justice to the colour!

It’s lightweight and there’s no metallic taste to my water. It arrived pretty quickly.

My only complaint is the state in which it was delivered – scratches and dents all over the shop! Luckily, these kinds of bottles are meant to be bashed around, so it doesn’t matter too much, and this was resolved with Amazon itself.

Great bottle, feels solid and nicely made and is a nice size for daily use. I’ll often fill this first thing in the morning and not drink until the afternoon (once I’ve got coffee and lunch out of the way) and by then the taste of the lining has affected the water. I’m assuming this won’t kill me, but it’s very noticeable on a hot day.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy first Sigg bottle is twenty years old and counting, has picked up a few dents but very few scratches (which says a lot for the finish), was lost once, found again (bright blue is useful as well as attractive) and is still in great condition all things considered!

No doubt this new one will last just as well as the old. This really is a ‘classic’ item, there’s no comparison with cheap imitations and it’s well worth paying for the quality; great value.

Sigg water bottles, compared to many other bottles, are such a great quality that once you have one no other bottle will seem on par. I use them for work, the gym and generally anywhere I go however I do think that the 0.6 litre is a more comfortable size to use.

For anyone looking to buy one they are Incredibly lightweight, very secure, easy to handle and even BPA Free. I would recommend only using them for plain/flavoured water though as I can imagine milk and juices could cause a lingering smell.

Some people have had problems with the lid on these bottles but I have found if you put the lid on properly you will have no problems whatsoever. I feel the dilemma some people encounter is of their own doing from probably crossing the thread or over tightening the lid to break the thread. In brief, take care of the bottle, use it properly, clean it properly and you will have a great bottle in your collection.

The SIGG bottle is very light, seals effectively, and lasts a long time before the internal coating wears out – assuming you use it just for water. That coating prevents any artificial taste being added to the water. It also means no plastic chemicals are leaking into the water – the major problem with plastic bottles is the health risk from those leaking chemicals and hormones, especially for men.

I have not tried the bottle with acidic juices, however, and so cannot comment on how long the coating will last under those circumstances.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is the third SIGG water bottle I have bought after accidentally landing on the bottle I usually take climbing and causing a massive dent. I filled the bottle with water and froze it to try to get the dent out, but unfortunately I slightly over did it on the amount of water and the bottle exploded in the freezer 😛

If you have never bought a SIGG water bottle before you might be worried about the water being tainted with a weird taste. I have never experienced such a problem even after leaving the water for a couple of days. In this regard I don’t think I would treat this bottle any differently to a plastic bottle.

The bottles are light-weight and seal well, however being made out of aluminium they are susceptible to dents and bumps. Given the activities I take these bottles out on I see these dents as something of a keep-sake which add character to the bottle, but I can see why some people would be put off by it. In terms of the longevity of the paint on this particular bottle I cannot really advise, but other painted SIGG bottles I have seen begin to peel only after many years of sustained use.

This particular SIGG bottle is a very nice looking one. The colour is what I would describe as ceramic white but with a glossy finish, and overall it looks great 🙂

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersMy partner and I decided to give the SIGG bottles a try in an effort to cut down on the purchase of plastic bottles. We bought four in total – the one listed here is my ‘work’ bottle; my partner bought a larger one for his work and we have two ‘mini’ for the bedside tables.

If you are worried that the water is going to taste bad, you don’t need to be. As long as you clean the bottles frequently (we bought a special cleaning brush, which is slightly angled for ease of use) and rinse them daily, you will be fine.

The seal is very good and there is no leakage; the ‘hook’ cap is perfect for lifting them and carry them around and the best thing about this product is that when it’s empty it’s very, very light; maybe not quite as light as a plastic bottle but not far off, so you can keep the empty bottle in your handbag and then fill it up when you get to work etc.

Oh I nearly forgot, the water tends to stay cold for a long time as well. I have never tried using these bottles with flavoured drinks or hot drinks, so I can’t give an opinion on that.

Overall, a great product and hopefully one that is kind to the environment, too.

I bought one two of these as a gamble and I was really pleased that I did, so I ordered another as well! Been told I need to drink more water, so I filter it and then drink it from these as plastic, apparently is now also bad for you! Used to spend so much on Evian Water bottles, then thought against the plastic part!

In a nutshell, these are amazing quality, keep the water cool for some time, the convenient handle on the top makes it easy to carry both the bottles using my fingers whilst I carry other items with my hands (if that makes sense!).

5 Star all the way, they are bottles and meant for carrying water so don’t expect any other surprises!

Thinking of buying more when I travel! Only down side, I am always making sure I don’t clatter them together or drop them in case I make a dent in the bottle!

Would also suggest you buy the tablets to clean them, I use one every 6 months to give it a good rinse out or after I put something other than water in them!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersJust received this yesterday, and I have slightly mixed feelings about this product. To be fair it does seem well made but when the bottle arrived it had a small dent in it (not really the fault of Sigg but the vendor) it was not really worth the hassle of sending it back. One thing that did disappoint me was the finish of the bottle – I ordered aluminium finish and I thought it would have been a polished finish, but alas no, it was presented as it would look as it came out of the extruding machine with striation marks all around its flanks and then laquered (not really an attractive finish) It would have looked so much better if it had been polished prior to laquering. One thing that any prospective buyers should consider is the size, I ordered the 1 litre bottle thinking it would be just right, boy was I wrong! I found that 1 litre is much more than I need during the course of the day, I think that 0.6 litre would be fine in most circumstances. But all in all, they are well engineered bits of kit and well worth the money.

It was packaged nicely, and arrived in perfect condition.

Very tough material and ideal if your out and about all day, I drive for a living so it’s ideal.

Doesn’t drip out, clever non-drip seal on the top!

Looks nice and doesn’t cost the earth.

It’s nice to know I can interchange the twist-top for a sports-top for when I go to the gym.

You can get loads of sizes and loads of different designs aswell.

    Top marks!
