I have purchased other Lawn edgers at similar prices as this one and they just bend under the feet, this one however is very tough and well made, I am very pleased with a product that can handle the job. Good delivery service.

You should only buy this if you have a bench grinder as it takes a good 10 minutes to sharpen the carbon steel on this, to a sharp enough edge that allows effortless bordering. It should be effortless too, because if you try to use as is, you will likely break it over a short time, which I suspect many people have judging by reviews on these things (not just this particular one). Many people write bad reviews because they don’t know how to use it. it isn’t a shovel, it’s a cutter. You slice into the soil after it’s had a good watering when it is soft, and use your foot against the metal part to push it in, come up most of the way and move sideways and push down again, overlapping where you just were. You don’t need to force it or put your back into it. If it’s hard work with this technique, you either need to sharpen the blade or water the grass
I marked the product down because the packaging was a nightmare to cut through. bin bags taped up all round it, which were hard to cut without scoring the wooden handle. Took me a good 5 minutes to rip it all off.
