Very strong looking tools
My daughter has just got an allotment so this is a birthday gift for her new venture. Not been used but very pleased with the structure of the tools. Look as if they will last.

When you buy Spear and Jackson you get quality for your money and this set of hand tools is no different.
So the pair of gardening trousers I bought Dad for his birthday didn’t go down well. He’s 86! what do you get a man of 86?? So in exasperation I asked him well what do you want? “A trowel”.
For reaching 86 all my darling Dad wanted was a trowel (he did explain in great detail that not a trowel a bricklayer would use). Yep Dad, I know you are past your wall building days & love your veggie plot.
So, as I bought the long handled Spear & Jackson Kew Garden trowel for myself last year & was very pleased, I bought him this set.
He loves it! PHEW!
Lovely, manageable tools.
These items were purchased to replace my ‘ misplaced ‘ other set, which in truth are not nearly as sturdy and sharp. They are a beautiful gift set if you fancy buying for someone else- I would have been delighted to receive these. I looked at the individual tools independently and this was an excellent offer( might seem a wee bit expensive but 100% they are of brilliant quality) and the products do not disappoint. So far I’ve only used them to tidy up my pots, but let me tell you this ,they made light work of overgrown and tightly impacted areas, the trowel cut through in no time at all. My hands / wrists suffer pain from a health condition, but these tools made it much less of a chore and relatively speaking my hands felt pretty okay. The cleaning of these is much easier than my older ones, the dirt just fell away. Love the wee tie on which makes for easy and recognised storage. Love them 10/10.

These really are great, as you’d expect from Spear & Jackson. The last trowel I bought broke on first use (the plastic handle snapped). I’ve not given them much of a hammering yet but they are a pleasure to use with nice long handles.

Covers the basics well. Bought as a gift but the items looks very sturdy and have a good weight to them. They come with a 10 year warranty and look like they will last.
Pricey but effective
Enjoyed using these in the garden. Very solid pieces and effective. I am not sure if I had a faulty set as the spade developed some rust spots after one day. However Amazon arranged exchange within one day. The new set seems fine with no problems.
Really lovely set. Bit more expensive than others but you get what you pay for and these are well worth it. Nicely shaped and comfortable handles. Not too heavy but sturdy and solid enough for the job. No signs of rusting or wear after use. Really happy, would buy again.
As a gift for my wife .....
Don’t ever forget “you get what you pay for.” This set may be a few pounds more than others but the quality is outstanding, guaranteed for 5 years or not, looked after these will last a lifetime & more.

I really like these, have wanted to replace my stainless steel ones that someone (not me) lost at the tip. They are expensive but were a little treat for me, clean up lovely. Bought from warehouse because packaging damaged, not a problem so nice little discount.
