Highest Quality

Made from super-soft neoprene and the highest-grade Lycra, the Happy Nappy Duo is designed to be gentle on baby’s skin. With no tight elastic, it has been developed to move as your baby moves, so it won’t leave red marks or chafe the skin. The Happy Nappy Duo is the most secure leakproof swim nappy available. The inner nappy is made from waterproof materials loaded with silver, which means this inbuilt inner nappy acts as a first defence against nasties that cause tummy bugs, eradicating them within the nappy.

Saving the Planet

At Splash About we are determined to save the planet one bottom at a time. The Happy Nappy DUO replaces the need for a disposable swim nappy. Disposable swim nappies can take up to 500 years to break down in landfill and are an infection risk in changing rooms. The DUO is made from recycled plastic waste materials, ensuring we don’t add to environmental damage, but actively work to stop it. Reusable, recyclable and remarkable.

Approved by Swim Schools

The classically form-fitting and leak-proof outer layer is still the Happy Nappy you know and love; ergonomically designed and shaped to cup baby’s bottom, with specialist waist and thigh ribs that fit snugly to prevent any solids leaks, but now, the exclusive silver lining acts as another layer, meaning it is approved by UK swim schools to be worn without any form of disposable nappy or wrap underneath.

Our Splash About design team creates on-trend, gorgeous designs in beautiful colours and patterns. The Happy Nappy Duo is available in a variety of beautiful designs to suit every little boy or girl.

Such a good system removing the need for a reusable (or disposable) swim nappy under the neoprene, also saves two pieces to get one and off, and wash, and remember to pack etc.

Seems to work perfect, haven’t had a dirty nappy in it yet so not sure how that will go but perfect for swimming lessons, no swim nappy needed underneath.
I sized up as my baby is big for his age

Very cute and feels good quality but defo size up! I bought the 3-6 for my 2 month old who was starting swimming lessons at 3 months and i couldn’t get it over her legs/bum! Bought the 6-12m and it fits perfectly at 3m. Still very fitted but could actually get it on!

These are great. Nice long ‘sleeves’ to hold in any number 2s. Little one’s grow pretty fast, and they can be a faff to get on at the perfect size, but no easier or harder than getting on two nappies.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThe duo replaces the need for a disposable or reusable swim nappy underneath the neoprene cover required by most swim schools and pools.

Swim nappies of all varieties are not designed to hold wee or keep the baby’s bum dry from pool or sea water. They are purely there to catch poo. If they did hold liquid they’d simply absorb the water from the pool/sea and make your baby sink. This does mean that you can’t get your not-yet-potty-trained baby dressed before arriving at the swimming pool/beach. You need to put this on your baby and get straight into the water or expect your outfit/pram/car seat/beach towel to get peed on.

In order to keep poo out of the water these nappies are designed to be snug with no gaps around the thigh or waist that would allow poo to escape. This means that even in the correct size there will be a fair amount of squishing and jiggling to get your baby into the nappy. This doesn’t mean it’s too small, it’s part of the design.

You do have to stuff your baby in which can be a struggle especially if they wiggle a lot. But when on its not to tight and does the job you need it to!

My 2 month year old seems very happy in his swimming pants. The only thing is, not sure it keeps the water out as much as it should. I make him wear a waterproof nappy underneath the pants.

They look adorable on my son!

Beautiful, colourfully designed, this swim nappy is perfect for pools. It has 2 layers to keep everything in, so no need to use disposable swim nappies underneath, which makes this a very eco-friendly product. The cuffs are very easticated and seem very comfortable. It fits very well, and is very leak proof. The instructions say it can be machine washed at 30degrees, but its label says hand wash only, we are a bit confused about that, but have stuck to hand washing. Its very high quality, and durable, and seems like it will last many years, and many kids. I would highly recommend.

This is required for baby swimming lessons, and is of nice quality. They are easy to wash and dry. They are of a good fit for my 2 year old and he is able to swim in them and looks comfortable. The design is cute as always, and the stitching on it is on point. When taken off i don’t see any red marks on him. I love the fact that you don’t have to then use an under nappy. This is all you need! Game changer!
    Highly recommend

Do you like the idea of trying to be a little bit more eco-friendly and reducing the amount of disposable nappies you use this may well be of interest. Swim nappies apparently take hundreds of years to decompose in landfill because of the special materials they are made from to deal with going in the water. This is an improved version of the original happy nappy as it has silver layer which is meant to improve and decrease the transmission of any harmful germs from anything your child might leave in the nappy. In terms of a fit it is elasticated and fits perfectly around your child yet doesn’t seem too tight or awkward so I can only assume it is quite comfortable for the baby. In terms of washing they are machine washable but it is well worth removing any deposits immediately after they are removed with a baby wipe or similar and putting that down the toilet to minimise excess waste before washing. They don’t seem particularly expensive compared to continually buying disposable nappies. Sexual also claims they use a lot of recycled plastic in the production which can only be a further plus in relation to the eco-credentials.

Comes in a plastic bag with a card info sheet. The swimming nappy is bright and colourful, with blue legs and tummy band and navy body with planes and hot air balloons design. Has uv sun protection being rated uv 50+. Thick and snug, but still comfortable keeping it leak proof. It feels really soft and silky to touch. Feels well made and of good quality. No loose threads or any stitching out of place. It has a special silver layer to help kill harmful bacteria, virus and pathogens that chlorine alone cannot kill if the nappy gets soiled, ensuring babies and other swimmers are protected against germs that cause infection. Duel layer, it has two layers which is joined together at the top. The inside layer is like pants gripping to them, catching anything inside and the outer layer gripping to the legs. The cuffs around the legs aren’t too tight and have a good stretch to them. Flexible and doesnt constrict movement. The label inside says says hand wash in cold water and hang to dry in the shade and the card packaging is conflicting saying machine washable at 30 degrees and washing it in biological cleaning helps prolong the silver. Really pleased with the quality, both look and feel. Saves on buying and using disposable nappies. Perfect to use over and over again.

My grandson is a real water baby so a reusable swim nappy is much better than the disposable type and more eco friendly.
It’s designed with 2 layers, the outer, neoprene layer fits securely around baby’s waist and legs, ensuring no leakage of poo.
The inner layer is similar to a nappy but it contains a silver layer to kill any nasty bacteria before it leaks into the pool.
The only thing about reusable nappies is cleaning then if your baby does do a poo. I’d recommend trying to get as much out as possible before taking it home as it will literally spread everywhere if you don’t, not pleasant.
Great if you take your baby to the pool on a regular basis but if it’s just the odd visit then this does work a lot more expensive than disposables.

As all swim schools insist on this style of swim nappy nowadays this is a must buy! But this one is even better now due to the new and improved design. It’s a double layer waterproof swim nappy with the addition of a silver layer to kill germs. I got the 1-2 one and it fits a 9 month old as I’ve always found these need to size up if possible. Fits really nicely and saves money as no longer need to wear a swim nappy underneath. Cute designs too.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersThe swim school our children attend insist on a double nappy system for babies – a disposable swim nappy covered by a neoprene outer nappy. As anyone who has used disposable swim nappies will know, they’re pretty useless for anything other than catching poo so that it doesn’t go onto your neoprene nappy and risk going into the pool. They’re not absorbent and do nothing if they have a wee!

I’m therefore delighted that this new style splash about nappy seems to have got rid of the need for a disposable nappy!

These duo swim nappies include a material layer attached inside the normal neoprene layer. The cuffs of the internal layer aren’t as tight as the neoprene cuffs but are tighter than a disposable nappy so will definitely reduce the risk of nappy contents getting into pool water. The internal layer is also waterproof so there’s effectively a double waterproof layer on your child.

The internal layer also contains silver to help filter germs that may enter the pool so are apparently more hygienic than a disposable nappy and should be kinder to baby’s skin in terms of reducing chemicals it’s exposed to and reducing the risk of nappy rash.

The quality of the nappy is lovely, as you’d expect from Splash About. My kids have all had Splash About swim nappies and they’re brilliant – some of them have lasted through all three of my kids doing swimming lessons in them and are still in great condition so we’ve passed them on to friends. They also have a good resale value.

The print on this pair is mega cute and colourful. The only thing you need to watch with the Splash About nappies is the sizing. They generally come up small and this one is no different. I got size 12 – 24 months and would say it’s probably more suitable for 9 – 18 months, possibly even from 6 months for a chunky baby

Great product from Splash About and I think the added expense compared to a normal neoprene nappy is well worth it as you’re saving on the cost of disposable nappies.

This is a fantastic reusable swimming nappy. It has two layers. The inside is a smaller and tighter pants type fit and the outer layer is a looser fit with grips around the waist and legs. It is really flexible but provides amazing protection against leaks. I really like the designs also. Great for saving money and the environment. The nappy is really easy to wash without fading or shrinking. I especially like the special silver lining feature that kills germs also. Well worth the price. Highly recommend.

This feels like it is comfortable, and fits really well around the legs and waist, happy to use it and she seems likes it isn’t bothering her wearing it at all.

Just rreminder that these are NOT designed to keep urine from entering the water, only poop. as that no swim nappy, or other kind can prevent this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks good, fits well.
