Strap return and locking system.

All Stanley tape dimensions have a powerful tape return and an effective locking mechanism – innovations and key factors that Stanley was the first manufacturer to introduce with the famous Powerlock tape measure.

Effective protection of the tape measure.

When working in demanding environments, choose a Mylar coated tape measure that offers up to 10x more abrasion resistance than a painted tape. Top models from Stanley have an additional seal with Blade Armor – a thermoplastic coating at the beginning of the tape, which keeps it permanently protected even in the toughest conditions.

Horizontal stability.

The curved steel band – first developed by Stanley – offers high stability when extended without kinking. This allows one-handed work even if the band cannot be additionally supported from below. This is particularly helpful for measurements in raw and construction construction, such as in the construction of roof chairs.

Sliding end hook for greater accuracy

The end hook attached with strong rivets remains movable. It compensates for its own strength and allows accurate internal and external measurements. On some models, the end hook also allows for convenient marking or punching circles.

The tape dimensions of the FATMAX and FATMAX Pro series have a three-way hook that can be attached to the workpiece to be measured from the top, from the bottom or from the side.
