Nice Fridge - looks grea
Bought this for our workshop to keep the cream and drinks in, nice and cold and the lock keeps unwanted hands from stealing my drinks… Buy your own ! ( would like to see the lock design changed to more of one that keeps the door shut tight)
Looks good, not sile
Functionally this is an excellent fridge, reaching the target temperature quickly. I will say though that I wanted the quietest fridge possible, and this one should be ultra quiet, but when it’s powered on after a period being unpowered it does make more noise than I’d like. None of these fridges are silent, but I hoped it would be quiter than this.
Ideal compact size for office or uni
The subcold Super50 has a LED light that looks nice under a desk, just gives the fridge a neat look.
My son keeps it full of drinks, it can hold loads with the adjustable shelves.
Not noisy and keeps the drinks cold enough for a hot summers day
Looks good, Chills good, reasonably quie
So glad I chose the SubCold Super50, looks great, easy to unpack, lighter than my old fridge, cools very well, and I don’t notice it’s there most of the time, you can hear the compressor kick in but only if you are sat in complete silence, any music etc and you won’t here it. Good choice of shelves, one for bottles if you need it or take it out and use a flat shelf.
Only reason for 4/5 not 5/5 has to be the shelving options. If there were more slots a few cm up and down around the middle for the main shelves, you would be reducing wasted space you would be able to squeeze 6x 2l bottles + the tray with cans, and also keep the bottom to use normally also.
Outside of my personal shelving shortcoming, it runs practically silently and feels premium when closing the door ! Makes a great addition for my studio !!
Good but loud mini fridge
I love this mini fridge, its compact yet can fit a large amount of drinks. The only thing I don’t like about it is it has a slight buzzing sound when its on which is noticeable but it could be worse.
I would recommend this mini fridge if it is not next to you only because the buzz can be quite annoying
I don’t often write reviews but I thought this product deserves one. It looks good, is good quality, lightweight, has plenty of storage space and, most importantly, the reviews are correct, it really does run very quietly!
Now, one word of caution. When you first switch it on, or if you leave the door open for a while, it WILL make some noise whilst it gets the fridge down to the right temperature. Just wait, it only takes 4-5 min. It nearly caused a divorce at my house; but all is good (for now ) now we’ve worked this out.
Overall, very happy.
This mini fridge is just the right size and fits all my bottles and cans perfectly. Doesn’t take up too much room. People say it’s noisy but no more than the average fridge and not constantly. I would say if you are looking for a mini fridge for drinks you can’t go far wrong with this one – I’m very happy.
And I love it. Loads of space. Enough for 4 wine bottles and copious cans. The way I have it set up it’s hard to fit beer bottles in but you can modify the shelving heights. It’s get very cold but does take probably 24 hours at first to get to the desired temperature. I have mine at rating 3 currently of 5. It’s perfect. It’s does make some light compressor noise you’d expect from a fridge. So I wouldn’t recommend for a room you sleep in. All in all great product so far.

Great little coole
Bought the Sub 50 Cooler on Monday and delivered as scheduled on Wednesday. Unfortunately the hinge cover part 5, was badly cracked, however, this does not prevent the cooler from operating properly. Apart from that I am really pleased with it and it will be grand for holding beers in my ‘man cave’. Would highly recommend.
Bought this to use in a garden bar . Had to be of a certain size to fit under shelving but also with a decent capacity. This fits the bill and so far so good.

Good level of cooling in small package
Bought as an in cupboard unit for an office. Keeps items chilled. Not noticed much noise from the unit while in use. Good internal size with ability to remove shelves when needed.

Ok so this fridge is a big upgrade since my previous one. Previously I had the xbox mini fridge for 99 which was awfull and stopped working in under 6 months and needed de-frosting every 48 hrs. Compared to this fridge for an extra 60 it does not need de-frosting it keeps your drinks very cool and I can fit about 40 drinks in there. The quality is amazing and one of the best mini fridges out there I would reccomend.
Fantastic little fridge
For me the noises it makes aren’t a big issue. I keep it in my studio and its honestly no louder than my laptop.
I think the temperature knob is a little bit too stiff for my liking.
It would be cool to have some LED lights around the inside of the door for some added ambiance
But overall its an awesome, well built, solid mini fridge. Well done Subcold!
Very Good
This mini fridge is brilliant. Having the lock on there is very useful, as it stops other people nicking my drinks without my knowledge. It keeps my drinks at a decent temperature, & it’s great to be able to see what’s in the fridge without having to open it. Would definitely recommend.
Bought to keep smaller liquid items chilled so they don’t clog up the fridge, but is kept in an office. Every few minutes the motor kicks in and it is quite noisy, especially when on the phone. Produce inside stays quite well chilled though at any temperature level.
I bought this unit to replaced a well know drinks branded themed mini fridge, which on the coolest setting would only get to around 9 degrees and ice over,
Anyway received this fridge and set on lowest setting, drinks got to around 3 degrees and no ice, the unit does ice over when door opened to load up, but the ice does clear after a while.
I now have the unit set to 3 and the drinks are around 5.5 degrees.
The only downside is the unit is a tad noisy compared to my last drinks fridge.
Very happy with this fridge
I bought this for my husbands music studio, just perfect for the man cave, office , bedroom anywhere! It looks ALOT more expensive than it is… so I consider it a bargain. Excellent quality, and works perfectly, no condensation or ice up like some fridges & it pack a surprising amount of drinks & snacks , wine & beer & cola .

This mini fridge is an excellent choice for storing and cooling beverages, the cooling is really good, it’s very well insulated, the noise is
very minute & next to nothing. If you have tinnitus like my self you would not mind the slight humming. The lock could be better, when I lock the fridge it can still be opened slightly but can still prevent entry.
Overall, an outstanding mini fridge.
I bought this for our utility room. It arrived quickly and was easily put into action.
The instructions did not tell me how to reverse the fridge door. Perhaps that could be included in the instructions.
However, I emailed the company with this query in the evening. By the following morning I had response with clear instructions on how to reverse the door. Very impressive. Thank you.
Not a great buy!
The fridge looks good but it fails on multiple levels. First and foremost it doesn’t reach its optimal level of cool which is the point of owning one!. If you turn the setting to maximum the whole thing ices up at the back across the wires which is unsafe to defrost. Other problem is that it’s quite loud and vibrates, this was not a problem for us as it was in a room that we don’t sleep in but if you intend it for a bedroom this is a complete no no. Lastly in trying to defrost the fridge it started to leak a terrible gas smell. We felt it was unsafe so had to take it to the tip. We were disappointed on all levels. Customer Service won’t help you either so be very beware!
I use this fridge as storage for drinks that only I like in the family! It stores a decent amount of cans and I even store perfume right at the back!
It keeps everything cold, I had a slight ice problem but turned it down a bit and it’s solved the problem! I also like the little light inside which is nice of an evening time.
My only criticism and is the main reason why I’ve given it 4 stars – the noise. For the first couple of months, it was subtle but since then, I’ve had to install a digital timer which turns the fridge off of a night time and on in the morning just so I can sleep properly!
As the fridge turns on to get to a certain temperature, there’s a LOUD clunk followed by a small humming/vibration. This noise is manageable but it’s the conclusion of this process that is unbearable as there’s yet another loud clunk and a series of distinct vibrations as it goes silent for 10-15 mins. After this time has passed, it does the exact same thing over and over.
I may have to contact customer support about this issue but since doing some research on the reviews of this fridge, it seems to be a common issue among people who have had the fridge for roughly the same time.
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. Delivered extremely quickly the day after ordering!! Up to now it seems to be working ok. Not noisy at all. My husband is thrilled to have somewhere to keep his cans of beer cold and I can fit a few bottles of wine in too. Appears to be well built and sturdy and seems ideal for what we need. It has a small light inside which is a bonus. There are much cheaper coolers on the market but I decided on this one as the reviews were good and it holds lots of drinks, much more than expected and saves room in my kitchen fridge Up to now I’m very pleased with my purchase and would recommend.
This is a great product for storing and chilling beer and wine.
Even though the bottom third of the fridge only has an internal depth of circa 230mm, the slightly indented door (facilitated by the seal) means that you can still store 500ml beer bottles on their side. The level of cooling is adjustable but the recommended setting of 3 to 4 gives gives perfectly chilled beer. The top two shelves have sufficient depth for wine bottles on their side. The fridge can easily hold more than twenty 500ml bottles, allowing space for circulation. On the whole this is a well thought out and very well made product. I would highly recommend it.
There’s a lot of reviews stating a lot of good things, I’ll start by saying that I agree with most of them. What I wanted to put a review here for was to go against some other people who say this thing is quiet. I would NOT recommend this for a bedroom. For most of the day this thing is completely silent, but when it turns on it does make a humming noise, sometimes a tinny vibrating sound – I can’t quite figure out what is causing this but it stops if I put pressure on the top. If it were just a light humming then it would be okay, it’s more the way it stops and starts a bit louder which was pretty jarring the first time I heard it.
For a small home office, living room, kitchen or wherever it should be fine. I can just about hear it with my headphones on but it’s not all that bad, though if I wanted to have some peace and it decides it’s time to rattle then I need to find somewhere else now.
That said, it is a fantastic fridge with temperature control and a light inside. I would prefer it if the controls were easily accessible from the inside like it’s big brother which is taller, whereas here I have to access the back which can be a bit annoying if I want to adjust it several times.
I would still recommend people get this as I’ve been happy with it, but unless you’re the sort of person who can put up with a bit of noise when they sleep then I’d keep this thing away from that sort of environment. Maybe there’s just an issue with mine making it noisier than others, this is just the experience I have with the one I’ve got.
Original unit that was delivered was damaged around the door so had to be replaced. To the credit of the seller, after I contacted them they personally delivered a new fridge the next working day, which was great and they took the damaged one away.
We have had the mini fridge for
nearly 2 year now and had no problems.
It looks very nice indeed and its a shame we have ours hidden away in the utility room and no-one can see it.
Occasionally a moderate buzzing/ humming noise eminates from the fridge that I would say it is slightly louder than a normal full sized fridge but its not intrusive.
The lock is very basic and the door still opens by a few centimetres, but I can understand why this is sn added feature.
Overall very pleased.
