WOW WOW WOW!!! this hairdryer shocked me. It’s so good, has a crazy amount of power and heats up nice and quick. I thought for the price it might not be the best but it definitely exceeded my expectations its so good. Deffo recommend. You don’t need to pay for a more expensive one when this is perfect and is a good size too! perfect for travel if you need.

This isn’t quite as light as my old one and the handle doesn’t fold under, that said it is excellent and dries my hair in good time. For the price I am very pleased.
This dryer is really lightweight and easy to handle compared to my old one, and dries my hair very quickly. My hair is down to my hips, and very fine, but I have plenty of it, which makes drying it take FOREVER. This dryer managed to get it from sopping wet to completely dry in twenty minutes on the highest heat setting. No visible damage, no frizz, my hair looks smooth but maintains some volume unlike with slower dryers.

Product exactly as described. No sitting in all day waiting. Might go for the 2100 model but for 16quid the Fastdry was a bargain .

Lightweight; controls easy to use – especially like the ‘full power on warm’ (rather than hot) setting; and cool settings; good long lead; would have liked something more powerful but it does the job ok. Excellent value.
I recently bought the TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer for my home-build forge. I needed a source of forced air to increase the intensity of the fire so I headed for Amazon.
The TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer presented itself at the top of the search results. it fitted the bill on a number of fronts, 1) it was a hair dryer, 2) it was very cheap and 3) Amazon said I could have it the very next day if I ordered in the next 1 hour and 22 minutes.
The dryer arrived with Postman Pat the very next day as promised, it could have been DPD Dave I wasn’t at home, and was received gratefully by a family member. On returning home later that same day, I did the first interface test between the Concentrator Nozzle and the 2″ Nominal Bore steel induction pipe I had recently sourced for the build. It was immediately apparent that the Compact Concentrator Nozzle would require some judicious massaging to ensure a competent fit.
On the day of the build the TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer was fully unboxed for the first occasion, the Concentrator Nozzle was carefully butchered with a Japanese woodsaw in order to correctly mate with the aforementioned steelwork.
When the forge was fully assembled I was concerned about the controls aspect of the dryer. i ideally was a fast stream of air but don’t want to go to the expense of heating it in the dryer. The forge is capable of creating heat of over 1000 degrees C so I didn’t see the point in burning electricity to make sure to air was cosy when entering the fire. The TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer happily features a Cool Shot device which bypasses the heating coil, presumably for when your head/hair begins to singe. I’ve managed to create a permanent Cool Shot by wrapping the handle and button with some carefully colour matched black gaffer tape. I may investigate permanently disconnecting the heating element but am concerned opening the dryer and poking around with side cutters and a soldering iron may have a detrimental effect on my manufacturer’s warranty.
In operation the TRESemme 2000W Fast Hair Dryer works a treat, it is the perfect size to fit inside the loose enclosure I found – an old feeding trough as it happens – It took a bit of fiddling to get everything in place and at one point did consider snapping off the Hinged Rear Filter but thankfully sanity got the better of my and I decided not to, again I presume my manufacturer’s warranty would be infringed with any significant chassis modifications, although to be fair the Hinged Rear Filter could be considered as an extraneous extra since it justified itself by being listed as a feature.
I lit the fire and turned the dryer to the first setting, this helped the firelighters burn intensely as i added coal to the forge. The dryer delivers a constant flow without hesitation, I must have had it on for a good 40 minutes without issue. During the course of use I did on occasion up the device to setting 3 which for this application provided me with 4ft high flames which is frankly ridiculous and unnecessary when forging but I can hardly blame the dryer for that.
The best feature of the dryer, to me, is the fact it didn’t melt despite being in close proximity to a forced induction fire producing heat of approximately 1500-1600 degrees centigrade. Upon completing my forging work, I unplugged the dryer, wrapped up the cord and threw it in the shed awaiting my next use.
Definitely would buy again.
