I ordered a size up from what I am normally and is good. Unless you want it totally skin tight of course. Will wear it under short sleeve cyclingrunning tops on cooler days.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this as a base-layer to use under motorbike gear and with a strong tilt towards hot-weather use. The material is very stretchy and has a highly effective wicking capability. It provides a little warmth in colder days, but really comes into its own in the heat (hence the Heat Gear moniker). In moderate (typical UK) heat, you rarely feel wet with sweat because it gets wicked away from your skin, but as soon as there’s air movement the evaporation really kicks in and it feel like someone’s hit the A/C.

And now the sizing… It’s a compression base-layer and as such skin-tight; not baggy, not tailored or slim, but vac-packed on. It’s got loads of stretch, so no issues with being too tight, but just bear in mind your average punter isn’t going to look good walking down the street in this – it’s definitely a base-layer for under something else! It comes out of the bag with the torso width looking several sizes too small, but that’s the stretch bit – it fits just fine and even with my long arms, I really don’t want any more length in the arms or torso.

So, overall, very effective, but unless you’ve spent a lot of time working out, best keep it under something more flattering. I have the bottoms as well and same story.

I was borderline medium/large. Went medium as slight in build. The fit is great (tight) but it’s short in length so when I run it pulls up above my shorts exposing my ‘6-pack’ to the world. For someone carrying any ‘spare’ weight around the middle it would be even worse. I should have bought large in hindsight.

Very pleased with the purchase of this top. Fits amazingly, provided you get the correct size. Great for exercising in or going gym as its as muscle fit as you can get and gives you space to move around and breathe. If you prefer a more slim fit in normal tshirts I recommend going a size up.

so my husband works outside and never feels the cold but with the icy snaps and getting older he finally gave in and wore this and was so impressed. It wasn’t bulky or noticeable at all he was just toasty all day without getting sweaty. He highly recommends this top.
