Great Cable
I bought this to use with my macbook which, obviously, only has usbc ports. This was such an easy process to connect my mac to my monitor, literally plug and play. Great image quality, no issues whatsoever and I have had it for over a year now.
Doesn't work with Steam Deck, works elsewhere
As others have said its a well made braided cable, great length at 4.5m. I can confirm this cable does work with Samsung Dex (S22/S23) and with Samsung Chromebooks, unfortunately this model doesn’t yet work with the Valve Steam Deck but great communication with the seller to address the situation for the future.
Useful
I bought this to connect my MacBook Air to a HP external monitor as well as to the TV. The TV connection was unproblematic and worked well although I had to play around with volume controls to get it working through the TV. That bit was a bit trial and error. Seemed fine when playing an on demand video but doing it live on zoom was a little less obvious. Still not 100% sure what I did to solve it.
I did have problems with the monitor because for the most part I got nothing and at best I got a picture of my desktop background but nothing else. Customer service was very responsive and also I found some on line help from the uni site itself. The solution seemed to be upgrading my Macs operating system to Ventura and ensuring I connected the cable while both monitor and MacBook were off. Once I could see my screen I was able to go into settings…display settings….and see my external monitor. I switched to mirroring and it worked. Hope that helps anyone else struggling. So far so good
Perfect Mirroring Between iPad Pro and Samsung TV
I travel a lot with work and inevitably end up in hotels with either bad TV service or unwatchable programs. I wanted to watch my movie subscription services, such as Amazon Movies from my iPad Pro to a TV monitor.
The only way to connect my iPad was with a USB-C (iPad) to a TV’s HDMI output. After some research, I came across the UNI USB C to HDMI Cable (4K@60Hz) USB Type-C to HDMI and ordered via my Amazon account, and the cable arrived the next day. It comes in a small unassuming box with the manufacturer’s UNI logo. The box is brand-sealed – a good thing so that you know it is nobody else’s return.
The process of connecting the iPad Pro to the TV is easy; I plugged in the USB-C cable to the USB-C input on the iPad, then connected the other end of the cable (HDMI) to the HDMI input on the Television. Once connected, I navigated to the menu which gave the option to choose the channel where the HDMI is located. This may happen automatically on some TVs.
I am pleased to say it works perfectly; I can now watch subscription services that are on my iPad, and watch 4K videos that are accessible via Plex and my QNAP server (the cable is capable of transferring 4K video at 60Hz). I am also able to work from my iPad and use a TV interface as a secondary monitor.
All-in-all, I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants to tether their iPad to a TV monitor screen.

Progress gives other issues...
Had a new work laptop that is super sleek and lighter, but progress can sometimes give other headaches like getting to a location to share some information and finding that you don’t have an HDMI connector. This cable was the answer and I am very impressed with the cable and connectors which allows me to achieve past performance with current technology. I really like the item and it now resides in my bag so that I am not without it. The HDMI2 standard was a deciding factor for me.

Does what it says in the description. I use it on my Macbook pro to extend the monitor for work purposes and so far no issues. It is too early to say how long it will last but i am happy with my purchase.

It’s a sturdy well built cable and I put it through a lot of use through lockdown. Constantly switched between living room tv and office monitor. Anyway, today was the day it started flicking and cutting signal away from my laptop. Hope to find another one that lasts more than 2 years – might have to pay a bit more for that though
Great for the Oneplus10 Pro 5G
There’s not a great deal to say about this one – I bought it to connect my Oneplus 10 to TVs when I’m at hotels etc.
I bought the 4.5m version and it simply worked when I plugged it in.
Picture quality seems fine and sound works also (my tv passes the audio as expected to my AVR amp.
One thing of note for this sort of thing is that the phone won’t change resolution to match the screen you’ve connected to and because new phones are wider than 16:9, you’ll inevitably end up with the picture being postage stamp in the middle of the screen (black bars all the way around the video). this is caused by the tv replicating the width of the image on the phone screen, so letterboxing black bars at the top and bottom, and the phone pillar boxing black bars to the left and right when playing video back, to avoid trimming video from the top and bottom of the screen.
As far as I’ve found, this is unavoidable, but ultimately if you’re aiming to achieve displaying video from your phone on a bigger screen than your phone. Your cable will achieve this.
If you’re hoping to use this cable to use your phone as a centrepiece to a high definition home cinema system, you’ll probably be disappointed with the resulting black bars!
It Works
Bought this because my Tablet is able to act as an oversize mousepad and display its screen on an HDMI enabled monitor or TV. I thought this would be a handy trick, the cable does work as intended but I think I have used in on 1 occasion in anger (as opposed to testing). Have to say that connecting a tablet up to a TV is really pointless, I would rather just cast anything interesting and remain free to roam. Also because of the way I’m setup at home using the tablet while in a ZOOM call means looking up and away from the camera to see the big screen picture which is very disconcerting as to those in the conference you don’t seem to be looking at them as you speak. As I said cable works great just wondering why I bothered with it in the first place.
Great cable works fine with my Lenovo Legion 5P
This is the second UNI cable that I bought recently. The first one was a USB-C to DisplayPort cable that worked straight away and without any issues with my Lenovo Legion 5P – AMD variant. For this reason I bought another one, this USB-C to HDMI cable. This one also worked fine with my Legion 5P straight out of the box. I had issues with other cables from other makes, either the USB C port didn’t recognise them or they couldn’t deliver the highest resolution in the frequency advertised. Both UNI cables worked straight out of the box without any issues in the maximum claimed resolution and frequency. i.e. 4K@60Hz. The picture quality is great and the connection to my 4K external monitors is stable without any issues or flickering, etc. Both cables are made of the same high quality materials and hopefully will last for a long time. Also tried both of them with my older 2008 Dell XPS and worked fine without any issues at all. Great products, highly recommended.
Perfect to expand the display count!
I got this cable when I needed to add two monitors to my iMac.
I’ve got a caldigit TS3 plus dock with display port driving one monitor, but needed to figure out a way to connect my second monitor. As I had some spare USB C ports left on the dock, I decided to get this cable.
I was initially frustrated to learn that it wouldn’t work on the available USB C ports on the dock, but realised Caldigit did not implement alternate delivery mode on their ports but did include an additional thunderbolt 3 port which once connected to, provided video to the second monitor. This cable also works wonderfully well with my old Samsung S8 Plus to connect to an external display for a desktop experience.
In addition to doing well what it’s supposed to do, I must add that this cable is of very high quality that I’ve now come to associate Uni with. It looks solid and has a premium weighty feel.
I’ve tested this with 1080p displays, and has so far proved great for playing movies and games with no noticible latency. If you’re looking to use a USB C or Thunderbolt 3 port to drive an HDMI display, I recommend to go with this cable.
Simple, a cable that just works and a cable that works well
I recently purchased this cable due to my new role as a teacher; they have an interactive board that requires a connection of HDMI. Of course, with the Macbook Pro 2016 – Present no HDMI ports. Just USB-C/Thunderbolt. So I definitely needed this cable for my work portability. I have had some HDMI adapters of sorts in the past. However, none of them matches the quality and the ease of use of this cable. It literally just works. To set the context, I don’t exactly have small requirements when it comes to testing the capabilities of a cable. At my desk, I have 2 4K 60Hz LG Monitors, after using the interactive board in the class, plugged the cable into one of the monitors and there it is 4K 60Hz, no problem at all.
This cable is definitely one of the best offerings out there, the price is extremely good considering the quality that you get, amazingly braided and quality feeling terminals with fully metal jackets. The convenience of it being all one cable and not terminating into a Female HDMI port, ready to pair it with any HDMI cable you obtain, which can cause compatibility issues or look way too bulky. UniAccessories HDMI to USB-C is such an elegant solution to a problem that shouldn’t be of any technological thought. It does exactly what it says on the tin, whatever you do.
More insight will come when I use this cable to its absolute tether, over a long period of time. In short, it is an excellent quality cable that just works, whatever demand and UniAccessories offer a lifetime warranty, so why wouldn’t you get this.
This 0.9m / 3ft version of the cable has been used for just over a month now with a Dell XPS 13 (2015) and Dell 27″ monitor (U2713H) at 2560×1440@60Hz.
Unboxing, the cable feels like a quality product despite the minimalist but perfectly adequate packaging (although the product does come with a useful rubber cable strap and not the wire twist-ties shown in the pictures). With a thick braided nylon cable, weighty connectors and no-slip inserts on the smaller connectors (although this is more from the dimpled pattern, not from being a rubberised material as I initially expected), the cable is reassuringly well constructed.
The points at which the cable enters the connector, often a point of failure, seem very solidly attached and give the impression that they are not coming loose anytime soon. The connector ends are equally well constructed, with no noticeable movement or play, they are also a perfect fit for both the laptop and the monitor ports.
In use the cable works flawlessly. Within a couple of seconds of plugging in the cable, the display was showing the output of the laptop with perfect clarity. Although I have only been able to test up to 2560×1440@60Hz, it has performed as required, with crisp output and no interference during use.
There isn’t really much more to say really, this is a well constructed cable at a great price that performs perfectly.
This is a tricky one to review, because the cable itself is good and feels high quality as well. However, it turns out this particular cable can run at 60Hz but only with certain monitors and definitely not with LG 4K monitors on a HDMI connection. It will work just fine at 1080p, but not at 4K. Now, this is not unusual. HDMI as a standard was never supposed to support 60Hz natively and the seller has confirmed this in private communication. The cable itself is well made and feels premium quality, as stated before. It works very well with my my older 1080p LG monitor and expect it to do so for many years to come, but connecting it to my LG 4K monitor (at 4K setting) resulted in flickering within an hour, proving my theory right. Making a very visible note on the product description page about this limitation (exception) would be very helpful. Having said all that, there is a great alternative from UNI to this cable if you’re looking to absolutely have 4K at 60Hz, and that’s the Display Port cable. If your monitor has a display port, don’t even bother with the HDMI cable, just go directly for the Display Port cable and you won’t regret it.
Having had this cable for a couple of days now I can confirm the following:
1. It does work with my HTC U11+ connected to a Panasonic 50″ HDTV (TX P50ST30B).
2. Seems to connect automatically when the appropriate HDMI source is selected on the TV.
3. The really important bit – insert the USB-C cable end UNI LOGO SIDE UP. Initially had it the other way around and got no output. So much for USB-C being reversible?
4. Have tried it with Amazon Prime and Netflix and both seem to work OK, albeit picture very slightly darker and image on Amazon doesn’t seem to completely fill TV screen. Aspect ratio is fine, and I overcame this by using zoom function on TV.
5. Watching Amazon for 40 mins seemed to use about 15% of phone battery, but phone is new!
6. HDMI connector end does get hot but no problems yet.
7. Cable is a bit stiffer than I expected, but OK.
8. No dust caps with mine, which would help when you just want to pack cable.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. This is super high quality and I’m very pleased with the cable.
There are so many on Amazon at the moment I did struggle to find one but settled on this for the good reviews that it had. I wanted something that was able to easily cope with a 42″ 4k display for my MacBook Pro 15″ 2016 with the minimum of fuss.
I originally had the display powered through a usb c hub which included an HDMI port but I wasn’t getting the proper scaling options in the settings for MacBook so thought I’d try a direct connection with a decent USB-C to HDMI cable – yes it’s an extra something to plug in but I can live with it if it means I have the display I want!
Pros:
Satisfying ‘click’ when inserting the USB-C plug
Cable is well braided so am hoping that it will last with quite a lot of plugging and unplugging
Grips on the sides of the USB-C plug just make it that tiny bit easier to manipulate
Easily copes with 4k display (only tested up to 30Hz)
Fuss free packaging all of which can be recycled
Excellent follow-up from the manufacturer
Cons:
To be honest I’m struggling to see anything! This really is a high end product and well worth the money to get high performance from your display.
Would I Buy Again?
YES! Without question and will definitely use UNI products again in the future if they are all as high quality as this.
