Excellent camera and fantastic customer service when I made a mistake.
Had this for about 4 months now and have caught many an interesting moment, however during one of these cammable moments I had realised my rear cam was sagging down, turns out I’d left one of the protective films on the electrostatic sticker, and without realising this while remedying it, tore it off. this meant I had to stick the rear cam directly to the back glass, I then contacted Vantrue to ask if a replacement mounting kit for the rear cam was possible and indeed it was, they got back to me quickly and dispatched the relevant mounting items from China free of charge. So far now I’ve fitted these cams In friends and familys cars starting from the n2 pro back in 2020 and they haven’t let us down.

Fantastic compact Dashcam
Whilst researching I was looking for a compact Dashcam with a good camera resolution & parking mode. After reading several Dashcam reviews I decided to settle on the Vantrue E2.

Setup was easy and took me around 30-45 mins . The rear camera cable was more than long enough for my estate car. The cameras stuck really well to my windows and overall looks very neat and tidy.
Voice controls are extremely handy to turn on the Wi-Fi for app connection and turning the screen off during night-time driving.
I have placed the remote next to my SOS button on the ceiling of the car and is helpful for emergency Video recording.
Parking mode was one of the main features that I wanted and it has not disappointed. This is one of the few dash cams in its price range that has a buffered mode which insures you do not miss a thing.
I did have a small issue but Vantrue support has been helpful and very quick to reply.
I have now had the camera for a few weeks and have found it fantastic.
I would highly recommend this to anyone as I do not think they will be disappointed.
Excellent camera
This is an excellent spec camera.
The picture is brilliant and the design is easy to use and set up.
It needs an sd card that you will have to buy separately. At this price I would have thought they’d supply one.
It starts up when you start the car so no fiddling about turning it on and off.

Amazing quality
I’ve always had bad dashcams so spending a bit more money felt like a good idea. i was so delighted that i got this one as it’s been amazing. Had it for 3 months now and the quality is superb, and the options are brilliant. Would definitely reccomend hardwiring it in, and the extra 3M tape you get is really handy. 10/10

I purchased the Vantrue e2 front/rear Dash and I so pleased to say that I’m highly delighted with this product.
Likes. Settings can all be done from your phone. Remote voice control Fob. Option to add a CPL filter purchased separately.
Easy connection to Wi-Fi. Cigarette style charge plug with a USB mounted on top.
Sony CMOS Sensor at the heart.
Sturdy screen fitting bracket so there’s no camera wobble what so ever.
Easy to fit into my Grandland X so there’s plenty for f cable that tooled away very neatly.
Okay it’s not touch screen but? Once installed and the app is on the phone you can sit in your vehicle and connect to the camera and alter settings to your hearts content.
Also there’s a remote control that you can give commands to like”’ format Card and it does it!!’
Had a next base dual cam before this and it wasn’t cheap by any means and lasted all but 2 years
Now the picture quality is very good. Enhanced by the CPL filter that takes away any screen reflection.
Number plates are easily read so yea it does it’s job. Sony CMOS sensor at the heart of the cams are very good value at 160 degrees viewing.
Pleasantly surprised at the 2k video the instructions and the box contents.
Please for what it’s worth purchase a really good quality mini SD card 128gb is fine and does approximately 18hours of video running both cams at the highest quality.

Good dash cam is size and performance.
I have been using this a few weeks but still haven’t got my head around all its features. It’s a lovely compact dash cam which has a screen but can also be seen on your phone. At the moment I have knocked of one star because the bracket can only be moved up and down, so make sure you are correct in its positioning! I contacted the company about this and if enough people request this their designers will amend amend the bracket, please start requesting, then this will be brilliant!

Vantrue E2 front /rear dashcam purchased for BMW X5 seven seat vehicle.
The car has two fuse box’s ie front box under the dash and second one in the rear luggage area which is very easy to access by hand. So I chose the rear fuse box and using the hard wire kit, an extra purchase fitting the dash cam power lead. It was very easy taking just 5 mins to connect to a suitable fuse ie none critical say the rear auxiliary outlet or tow bar fuse or cigarette lighter. Unfortunately the hard wire kit was to short to run from the rear fuse box all the way to the front dash cam (X5 seven seater is long) so i had to purchase an extra usb c female to male connector (2.5 m) for 12. The rear camera cable provided was plenty long enough and had no difficulty in fitting the cable to the rear camera. Camera front and rear are small and well made i also purchased the polarising filter to reduce front camera glare.
Used a 256 Lexar micro SD SDXC A1 type blue series but any A1 type will do the job.
Written instructions are clear.
No real negatives no show stoppers only thing i would mention is the fact that to detach the front camera you have to unplug the rear USB c camera connector from the front camera input i.e. the power USB C cable fits to the GPS module which is permanently attache to the screed the camera slots in to the module and the rear cam is plugged into the camera itself easy to remove but would be better if it could plug into the GPS module.
Good video clarity front and rear cam feature rich and includes a separate button to take a picture or record sound or stop sound very useful. The parking function works fine and you have the option of turning it off if you wish. The parking mode will stop working if the car battery power falls below a set voltage to ensure you can still start the car.
Very pleased with the Vantrue E2 and will now purchase a second unit for my wife’s car. Normal fitting time for average vehicle 1.5 hours or 20 mins if using the provided cigarette socket adaptor. Menu set up is simple. If you select GPS then the time is auto setup for you.
Would recommend this its a great dashcam exceeds my expectations.
Great quality dash cam, but with one annoying trait.
Great designed dash camera with quick release mount. My only gripe with this is that the rear camera isn’t connected into the windscreen mount so everytime you want to remove the dash cam you have to manually unplug the rear camera.
Excellent Dashcam
Having owned the Vantrue Element 2 for just over a week now, I can honestly say I am more than happy with this dashcam.
Straight out of the box the Vantrue E2 was easy to set up with quality 3M sticky pads (also with a few spares) and a small tool to help you hide the cabling behind the car trim. I already had a hardwire kit installed from my previous dashcam therefore this was quick and easy for me to get up and going.
Once installed, setup was a doddle using the Vantrue app on my Android phone. I found connecting to the dashcam was straight forward and without issue. Footage can be reviewed on your phone and you can download the ones you want to keep which is one of the features I really like — saves having to remover the SD card to upload on a PC.
After reviewing my videos I found the footage to be a little washed out on the default setting, although it was a bright cloudless day with the sun low in the sky but the footage is still perfectly usable. I will be lowering the lowering the exposure a notch or 2 to get it right for myself.
Also on the default setting, I found the G sensor to be a little too sensitive as the dashcam kept on taking lots of photos and protecting videos (an indication on the state of our roads in the UK!) which could result in running out of memory space on the SD card. You can turn G sensor off but I dialled it down to 1 and found this setting the best for my car.
Finally, the voice controls work perfectly and I have the little remote control mounted within easy reach should I need to mute the mic or take a photo.
Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend Vantrue dashcam to anyone.
The Element 2 is beautifully boxed, and every part is thoughtfully packaged to make it obvious which wires belong with which devices. There is no wasted space, and everything is clearly marked. The box includes a quick visual guide of how to set up the devices correctly and a more instructive user manual for delving deeper into the workings of the camera.
Installation is made easy by the electrostatic stickers applied to the windscreen and the cameras hold steady in place. The front camera is simplistic and easy to navigate by using the four buttons at the base of the camera. The video quality is very good in daylight and remains just as good in low light. The angle of the lens comfortably captures the full width of the windscreen which enables us to see what is happening to the right and left of the vehicle (very useful when driving on motorways). The HUD on the camera screen can seem overwhelming at first but once you read through the user manual it becomes clearer as to what each symbol is and how it relates to the operation of the camera. One of the features I was most impressed with was how well the loop recording works. After installing a 32GB micro-SD card to record on, having the option to automatically record over the oldest recording with the newest recording saves a lot of time having to organise the previous recordings. There is also a remote control included which is easily stuck to the dashboard and makes it a lot easier to start and stop recordings whilst driving.
One of the biggest benefits of the dash camera is the accompanying mobile app. Connecting the phone to the dash camera is relatively simple however you have to ensure that you are on the live video stream for it to work. Live preview through the app enables you to control certain elements of the live feed, such as switching between front and rear cameras, microphone on/off, taking a snapshot and stopping the recording. There is also the option to access the album which shows all the previous recordings/images and gives you the option to download or delete recordings as necessary. As easy as the camera is to navigate, having the app enables you to delete multiple files at once rather than one or all of them.

Well, VANTRUE E2 Dash Cam has raise the bar for car camera. It has full of feature including the ones ever needed parking mode, speed, GPS and remote control are the best.
Installation was pretty straight forward. Connected with charging cod and setup guide take you through initial settings.
Quality of video has impressed me. Viewing video on desktop shows its not blurry and number plates can be easily readable.
Initially i thought rear camera cable is not long enough for my estate car, however it did reach perfectly.
Only downside is the charging dock only has one usb port to charge your phone. apart from this, 10/10.

I have been using this dashcam for a couple of weeks now, and it really lives up to my expectations in many departments. Below I will share my thoughts about it:
1. Contents:
This dashcam contents are the most inclusive among all the dashcams I tried in the last couple of years. VANTRUE seems to account for everything needed to use the dashcam straightaway. The box contains the Vantrue E2 Dash Cam, the rear camera, a GPS adhesive mount, a very long cable for the rear camera (6 meters), a car charger, a USB C cable, and a remote control.
2. Design:
This dashcam has a compact and decent build. The main unit is small to not cause a disturbance while driving, and the rear unit is barely noticeable once installed.
3. Connectivity and setup:
Setup is pretty straightforward and doesn’t take much time. Also, connecting to the app is also pretty self-explanatory. The dashcam surprisingly supports 5Ghz connectivity which ensures faster connection and sync speeds.
4. Performance and Features:
The dashcam packs all the needed features for smooth recording both during the day and night. The picture quality is on par with high end dashcams, but is lower than cameras and phones. The plate numbers could be read if there is enough daylight and the distance is not long between the dashcam and the plate. In addition to a decent quality, the dashcam has a well-size IPS display, and 2.5 capture resolution, which is way better than 720p and 1080p resolutions.
The metadata is always accurate thanks to the reliable GPS. Along with performance features, this dashcam also provides decent night view. It’s not the sharpest, but it does manage light in a good way to produce clear footage.
All in all, this is a reliable dashcam that is worth the price tag.
Great dash cam, works well
I got rear ended not long ago and the driver drove off before I could get their plates. This dashcam gives me huge peace of mind that that’ll never happen again. Installation barely took any time and I like that they give you spare sticky pads incase you mess up (like I did). 5/5, I’ve recommended to friends.

Relatively easy to set up but you do need to wire (provided) from cig. lighter power to main unit camera and from rear camera to main unit.
App available from Google Play and Apple App store – which offers a level of security above direct download. Still usable without the app but improved setup/settings via the app.
Feature rich compared to cheaper cameras with suction cup to window – these include front and rear camera, voice controls, remote control, dual GPS tracking.
Decent image quality – crash mode to protect data covering the incident.
Shame it doesn’t come with an SD card as no internal memory and you need the card to use.

Reliable dash cam
This has been quite a reliable and fairly high spec dash cam. It does pretty much what you expect it to. Possibly the user interface is marginally more clunky than that of more well known and established brands but this is still relatively easy to set up and use.

For me it is a powerhouse of a dash cam 🙂
It works really well in all situation and it has smart function which will take you mind of the dash cam so you can increase you attention to the road.
In the event you want to take a snapshot or mute the dashcam from recording audio there is a very small and handy remote control.
First I was like who need a remote control but actually it is very handy as it is a physical so can be found and operated with minimum distraction.
If you don’t like the remote control then no worry it is also voice activated which does listen very well even if you mute the dash cam from recording sound.
When first installing it will take about 30 min but this depends on how good you want to hide the cable and if you want to go through all the settings first.
I would definitely spent some time in the setting menu and play with some features.
I am a bit in a dilemma about the wifi on one hand really happy that it needs to be manually selected before you can connect for privacy reason however on the other hand it does take a few more clicks.
A more negative point is that once you are connected to the app via the wifi the dash cam can not be operated anymore via the dash cam it self but only from the app.
However besides these small cons overall it is a very very good dash cam!

So many satisfying things about the dash cam. It’s USB-C (which is the future), how ergonomic the remote is, how it connects to yours phone and especially the magnetic click when you first attach it to the mount. Being able to go between time lapse and normal is really good for vlogging but most importantly, the quality of the camera means if there are any accidents, it’s going to be well documents, front and back. Very happy with my purchase as I’m sure you will be too.
I am really happy with the dash cam, its recording quality is very good and the sensitivity of the G-shock locking is spot on – although you can change the sensitivity of this in settings. I installed it myself after watching a few videos showing how others had done it in the same car. The little tool that comes with it for easing the car trim was extremely useful and more robust than I expected, it caused no damage either.
Make sure you use the electrostatic plastic sheet on the windscreen, I think you would have difficulty in the future removing the base if you don’t.
Advice for your installation:
1. Make sure you really clean your window well before hand,
2. The electrostatic sheet traps air bubbles easily, so use a credit card or similar to push out the air as you slowly stick this to your windscreen.
3. Remove the clear plastic cover on the base sticker.
4. Hold the camera in place before you do any fixing, to make sure its not blocking your line of sight when driving.
5. Get the right micro SD card must be class 10 and A2 and U3, I bought a class 10, A1, U1 and it doesn’t work.
Now it is up and running, I am very happy with the overall camera and its simplicity.
Amazing quality
Amazing quality picture and video capturing, easy to set up and connect to phone, easy to follow instructions and easy to review previously save footage. Getting your moneys worth for the level of quality.
I’ve been looking for a dash-cam to fit into my wife’s car for a while, and this is a great little piece of kit with a whole range of extras and features.
Firstly, the video footage is really good quality. Records at 2.5k and even the screen on the camera device shows a clear, crisp picture. Even though the camera isn’t huge, the small screen shows the video that’s being recorded very clearly.
As soon as you get into the car and start up, the camera turns on automatically and begins recording. You can insert a microSD card up to 512 GB for ample recording length. The good thing about this kit is that if there is a sudden jerk/accident the camera detects it and automatically locks the video so that you can retrieve it later. There is also an additional remove (a small square piece) that you can stick anywhere in your car or on the dashboard, to manually lock a video at any time.
Another great feature is that you can connect the camera through WIFI and transfer video files from both cameras to your computer with the vantrue app. You can use the buttons on the bottom of the front camera to toggle between back camera or front camera view. For people who don’t have a reverse camera feature on their car, you can use the full screen mode to show the backside camera on the front screen and safely reverse (of course, due care is needed – and you shouldn’t just depend on the camera).
I like how you can enable and disable the audio recording as well on the camera with one button on the camera. You can take still pictures through with the manual remote supplied (the one I mentioned previously that is used to lock a video in place).
There are different shooting format modes for the resolution. I initially set mine to 2592x1944p 30FPS and than changed it at the end of the installation to 1440p x 1440p front and rear.
LOOP recording allows you set your record times to 1 to 5 minutes, I have choose 5 minute recorded clips, I am also using a 256MicroSD Card.
Dashcam records the Speed Limit whilst driving – Rear Dashcam comes with 20 metre cable length, so you can easily run the cable from the front of the car to the rear, and easily and nicely tuck away all cabling.
Dashcam is mounted to the front and rear windscreens using 3M, tape. Personally, this is my one gripe with the camera kit. I don’t like this, as it makes it more difficult to move from vehicle to vehicle, I wish it had a mounting bracket instead.
Dashcam comes with extra 3M pads, for both the front and the rear, which was wonderful as the first time I put the front DashCam on, it wasn’t positioned properly, so I had to use the second piece of 3M Tape
Took less than 30 minutes, to fit the DashCam to the car, overall I love it, it a excellent camera, highly recommended. Definitely worth it overall.
