This is a great product that is easy to use and effective. My only annoyance is I always run out of strips before the job is complete. Please could we have 20 not 12. So irritating!!!

Honestly, I tried some of the others from Amazon when they stopped selling this in my local shop. This one is the best. It’s great too because it really does come off with water unlike others out there. Do yourself a favor and get this one. Especially for sensitive areas, trust me. You’ll want to be able to wash off excess with water.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have tried all different types of waxes and this is my favourite. I use it for armpits and bikini line. It has a lovely scent and it’s easy to wash off unlike other waxes. Have to be careful not to heat it too much, I put it in themicrowave for 1 min only and it’s enough. It’s the best one for sensitive skin to avoid irritation. I only need 2 tubs for a whole year. Much cheaper than going to the beautician every month.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve finally found what is by far the best hair removal method for my legs

Shaving is a big NO for me, believe me I’ve tried. Epilators are noisy and hurt like hell. Other electric shavers are fine but the hair grows back way too fast and I’m not doing that everyday. Was unsuccessful with ready to go wax strips

I settled on making my own sugar wax at home and doing it myself. Its been fine but making it can be annoying and using it is pretty painful and messy.

If only I had bought this earlier. I’m not going to lie and say it was painless, but the most painful part of my normal sugar wax was that you needed to apply it against the direction of hair growth, and the application was painful. Then the pain of ripping it off. This is applied in the direction of hair growth which is entirely painless if the wax is runny enough, and then ripped in the opposite direction. It is 10x less painful. I could not believe it. Same results, a lot less pain. Smooth legs, no complaints.

The ONLY downside is there are not enough strips! At least you can easily wash, dry and re-use, but they really should double the number given. If you’re doing a large area like both legs, you absolutely need to buy extra if you expect to do this in one sitting.

I have tried so many at home wax’s and this one takes the cake! It glides on smoothly, pulls off completely and leaves no sticky residue. My skin feels so soft after using it.
My only complaints are, you don’t get enough to do your whole body in a jar and you need to purchase more waxing strips, as there are not enough in the kit. I can do most of my legs with one jar, but I would like to be able to do my mustache, armpits and bikini area as well.
So to be able to do everything I like, I need two jars and the extra strips, making it a total of 25 pounds. Which is still better then the 70 a salon would charge me.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersWhilst I was studying at Uni for my degree, I decided to do a waxing course at the college down the road, because getting my legs waxed was soooo expensive. My mum did the course too, and we then waxed each other’s legs and saved every year for ages. So I have used wax heaters, and various waxes in the past and know how useful a heater is. My mum now has our wax heater at her house, so I wondered if it was time I should get my own. I’ve been using an electric epliator but for more sensitive areas…..well it’s just a lot more painful and I thought I’d go back to wax.

I very nearly bought a wax heater, but opted for this instead after all the positive reviews. Well, I can only echo the reviews. What lovely wax, and it smells lovely. It is very easy to use, and not sticky! I’ve had some really sticky waxes in the past! This is just lovely – a joy to use.

I couldn’t wax my legs in one heat, but I easily did my bikini line, under arms and thighs before it went a bit too cool. But it’s hardly a chore to pop it in the mocrowave for another minute.

Had loads of wax left over too! I reckon it will last ages. I’ll probably just buy some more waxing strips and I reckon this will last me a year. I can’t believe how little wax I used. Obviously would use more for the whole leg but happy to do my legs with my epilator.

Couldn’t be happier as it is very reasonably priced.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a relatively easy way to wax at home. However, it can be very messy. I wish there were more of the wax papers that came with it because the volume of wax to wax papers ratio was very uneven. I have a lot of wax left over but I have used all the wax paper. But overall it is a good buy

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersSo how I do it is I just put it in a bowl of hot water for like 5 minutes, until the wax is liquidy enough to spread with a spatula, but I don’t spread directly on my skin, I spread on the wax paper first and then use that on my skin. If the hair doesn’t come off it just means your skin is not dry enough (this was the case with my armpits due to perspiration) so I sprinkled some talcum powder on that area first, and just waxed right on top of that — no wiping off the talcum powder.

This is MY way of doing it, as I used to live in Asia and have always used natural wax very similar to this one, which is why this wax is perfect for me now that I live in the UK and really wanted something similar. The negative comments just didn’t think to use other methods to get the wax to work, because guys, this is WAX. You can even make your own wax with honey, water and the right amount of heat. The science of waxing will work if you just figure out what’s not working for your wax — like skin not dry enough, the heat from your microwave might be too much, and other factors. So bottom line: wax isn’t rocket science and any kind of wax like this will work, you just need to figure out your own method of doing it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWow, I am seriously impressed. Firstly, I ordered it this morning and it arrived by 4.30 this afternoon, great service from Amazon. This was so easy to use! I read and followed all the instructions according to the packet, everything was clear and easy to follow. This was my first time waxing myself after years of getting a Hollywood wax at a salon. Getting the consistency of the wax was probably the most difficult thing but once it was right it was super easy to use amd apply with the spatula. I was able to do a Hollywood wax on myself without any pain (I did take 2 ibuprofen about 30mins before). Don’t get me wrong there’s a few stray hairs I didn’t get but for my first time I am so impressed! Plenty of wax left so I will get so many uses out of this pot. Smells great and feels super soft afterwards. The reusable strips really are a great idea too, so easy to wash under hot water the wax just melts off. Just wish it came with a few more strips but will see if I can buy some extra ones. Overall a great product and would recommend to anyone wanting to try at home waxing!

I have been getting waxed or waxing myself for the better part of 15years. I’ve tried LOTS of products and know what I’m doing. This product is easy and clean (if you know what you are doing) and comes with the right amount of stuff to get you started. Firstly, I think the temp indicator is a bit sensitive, I actually had the best results when the NO! was just visible secondly, this product dissolves in water (which is not broadly advertised for some reason) so no mess at all, just wipe away! Hands sticky after a bit, run them under some warm water! Residue from waxing, rinse off! AND, you can even rinse off the strips, dry and reuse!!! Only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars from me is because the small small fine hairs are missed but really pretty darn good for at home!

Just used this to wax my legs. It’s fantastic, I can’t believe I have been putting up with the waxing strips all year! Due to the dark colour you can actually see where you are putting the wax, making it really easy to get everything. The strips are washable and there are plenty. The hair came off really well, although they were quite long, it says hair should be 5mm. I used it too hot as I was impatient but it went on better I thought as it was more runny. Only thing to note is that it doesn’t go all that far. I used 2/3 of the pot for a half leg (both legs!) To just above the knee. Very happy, will definitely buy again if we have another lockdown!

Having tried (and failed) to wax my legs many years ago with the strip wax from Veet; I thought I would never be able to do it because of how painful it was. I was wrong.
This wax is impressive, it smells nice, it washes really easily from skin and surfaces and it does not hurt that much (make sure you do use it after showering and exfoliating, of course)
There are two downsides though. First, the instructions on how to apply the wax to the skin are not very good. I struggled with applying it to skin a bit. Secondly, it is pricey, so given the cost and relative hassle that is to wax yourself, under normal circumstances, you are better off going to a beautician. I do recommend having it at home in case of emergency though

This wax is brilliant for first time waxers. The wax simply needs to be heated up in the microwave and can be used 3 times to remove hair on the bottom half of the legs. There are plenty of strips that come with the product that can be washed in warm water and reused, and the wooden spreader has a handy indicator on it to tell you if the wax is too warm for your skin. So far I have used it on my legs and it removed all of the hairs with no problems. The only issue that may happen is that it doesn’t remove hairs when the wax is spread to thinly but that is due to user error.

Golden Review Award: 16 From Our UsersI’m Caucasian and extra hairy but prefer epilating and waxing to shaving. Having used cold wax strips on my bikini line for years (which flipping wrecks and is very painful due to having to go over the same area again and again) I decided to give this a go and I was not disappointed.

I heated the tub in the microwave for 40 seconds and left for up to a minute. I did have to take it out halfway through as I had unknowingly left a little strip of the foil lid behind and it burnt a bit of the plastic rim, but once that was removed it was fine. The tub retained its shape nicely and the wax was stirrable with the spatula. The is an inner lip where you can wipe excess wax from the spatula which saves the mess. The spatula also has a blue square that changes to ‘HOT’ if the wax is too hot to use but I would always test on my wrist before using anyway, just in case it stops working over time.

I was pretty terrified about using it As I thought surely it hurts more than cold strips as more hair is covered, so I started on a small area and spread some wax on. The fabric strips provided can be torn, so I tore a few up ready to use. Immediately I pressed a strip on, pulled skin taut and quickly removed. No pain, no hairs. I did the whole area and it was really easy and so effective.

I had amazingly managed to not get wax anywhere else so didn’t have a huge clean up to do. I had previously believed the strips to be disposable but after reading the leaflet I chucked them in a sink of hot water, let the wax dissolve, rinsed fully and left them to dry. I always found cold strips really wasteful so I was impressed with this part.

I’m not sure why some say they don’t remove hairs as hair is quite coarse and it gets rid of mine! Maybe they are not using enough wax or not pressing the strip onto to area properly? The scent is nice and not too strong. The wax dissolves in water so any mess is easily cleaned up. Also, I have tonnes of wax left so it will last for ages!

Overall, I would highly recommend these.

Lovely fragrance, easy to follow instructions, plenty of wax in the jar. The problem was that I still had a visible rash which took a couple of days and aloe vera gel to settle.
Struggled a bit not to make a mess but that did not go as planned either. Might just need more practicing I guess.
All in all, I’d recommend this product, just proceed with caution especially if you’ve got sensitive skin.

I used this product as I have been wanting to wax my bikini line and have been unable to go to a salon over lockdown. I use the veet strips to wax other areas of my body such as arms, face and legs, but I find them quite painful so didn’t dare to use them on my bikini line.
I was super nervous to use this product, as my hair is thick (I am Turkish!) but I was so impressed with the outcome. The wax is thick and easy to apply, and I can’t believe how little it hurts when pulling the strips off! The wax is so soft that you can’t feel it coming off most of the time, which I never thought would be possible!
The instructions were clear and it was easy to use. I have used it three times now and still have some wax left in the pot – so it is definitely worth the money! Definitely going to use this instead of the strips from now on.

Only thing I would say is do not use the heat detector given in the pack, as their suggestion waits for the wax to cool it makes it more difficult to apply. Test on the inside of your wrist instead, as this is a sensitive part of your body – if it is not too hot there, then you’ll be fine applying it elsewhere!

I found this kit easy to use. The pot even has an inner section to scrap excess wax from the provided wooden spatula. I actually did one leg with Boots sensitive wax and the other with this product and I would actually say this one was better at removing short hair – make sure you spread as thin as possible though or the wax melts away from the skin and ends up everywhere!. The strips provided ripped easily, hence 4 stars.

Bought due to lockdown as can’t visit my usual salon. I’ve used professional wax at home before that just gets in a sticky mess so with this being easily removable with water, it was great. Note: stretch the skin before you pull off the strips! This worked brilliantly on underarms but much more tricky for bikini. More effective if someone can help you! Also, read the instructions! Different areas on the spatula are used for different areas of body. The temperature gauge is handy but I found that to just test the wax on my inner wrist I was able to use it when fairly warm and supposedly ‘no’ on blue strip.
Hair definitely grows back slightly faster than a salon wax but overall, best wax I’ve used. Added bonus is the strips are re usable so great value, aswell.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThe product itself is great. The box has everything conveniently packed really well with an instructions manual in detail. Really love the packaging the most. It comes with a wooden spatula and the waxing strips. But I had them bought separately anyway. You’ll need your own as these won’t suffice. The spatula is wooden and small so can’t be reduced more than two or three times.

What I don’t like about it is the strong scent which can irritate skin sometimes. I love the smell but not in my skin care, I like them fragrance free. But it’s only personal choice.

I used this on my arm pits and it was very tricky and painful so you might need to practice on your legs a lot. It can get hard faster so it’s best to leave it in a bowl of super hot water.

Could be a little messy to use but overall the product does a great job in removing longer leg, hair and armpit hair. Not a good idea for the groin or facial hair. I don’t think this is suitable for sensitive skin so I recommend a patch test for the first time.

I’m very happy with the product. Delivery was as usual on time and hassle free.

The smell was strong to say the least. It did work, eventually but I’m having to buy a second post of wax to go over some bits again. It might’ve just been me but I ended up using the entire pot on only one and a half legs which wasn’t very good. There weren’t enough strips in the box which I read before hand and did buy extras which worked even better. The product seemed to dry out a lot more on the second use (I had to pause and it hardened inbetween) And was slightly more difficult to use but it was still useable
I would recommend it for someone who’s okay with a not 100% quality product and it does reflect the price

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI haven’t used washable wax before so I was very surprised and pleased it actually worked. I waxed my legs and armpits but it run out a bit earlier than planned. It didn’t leave a lot of hair I could feel just a bit here and there that didn’t manage to get waxed. I liked the idea of the spatula saying NO! when the wax was too hot. I wouldn’t say it was pain free for sure, most of the time I’ve experienced the same amount of pain but it was very easy to apply and I will definitely use it again!

It does what it days, the “no” detection is a little too sensitive I think, it was a bit cold and thick when the NO went off. To be fair, it is not actually WAX it is a sugar paste. That’s why I am giving it four stars as I was looking for a wax. My friend with experience told me that the difference is: the sugar paste stick to the hair and skin which makes it more painful at sensitive areas such as bikini line and underarm pit. The wax paste sticks to the hair only and prevents extra pull to the skin and that makes it perfect for upper lips. I am not an expert but I think this does the job unless you are looking for a wax paste in precise then it is not what you are looking for.

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersIt does remove hair but with a few caveats.
It’s my first time using this type of wax, I used strips before and am not a big fan. This was very easy to warm up; however, the stick can’t entirely be trusted because when I first put it in it said ok and in the middle of my waxing it changed to NO, but I followed heating instructions, luckily my microwave matches the instructions and I was good to go.
Applying is easy although I had to be careful not to use too much. I had a few drops here and there, not an uncontrollable mess but mostly because this is water soluble and was easy to clean.
To remove, I discovered it was easier to apply the strip as soon as I applied the wax and then leave it as much as my patience allowed and then pull back and that produced much better results than removing right away. The strips can be reused during the process even if they have wax on them already. After use just rinsing them in water will leave them as good as new.
The instructions say not to reapply on areas already waxed but for me one try wasn’t enough and since I know my skin I knew I could handle a repeat and that way I got great results. It wasn’t painful for me, it’s not pleasant but I didn’t feel pain.
The only area that was bit tricky was the bikini, I found it difficult to apply and don’t let it get where it wasn’t supposed to go and then removing it wasn’t easy. Hopefully after a few tries I’ll master it.
Lastly, I just tried it for the first time so I can’t comment on results but will update if my experience changes.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersMy body hair grows so quickly that I have, in the last 6 months, decided to use waxing and eppiltating to achieve longer lasting results.
I use my eppilator on my armpits and lower legs. It hurts but I’m managing to get used to the pain. However, the pain is unbearable on my thighs and bikini line!
I purchased some veet wax strips to use on my thighs and they worked fine- but I wanted more precision application for more ‘complicated’ areas, AKA my bikini line.

This wax works a dream. Grips the hair well and gives a great result. Any sticky bits left behind come off much more easily than the wax strips. I find waxing so much less painful than epilating. The only disadvantage is that it doesn’t remove hairs as short as an epilator does so you will have to wait for a decent bit of growth before you go for it!

Overall, with a bit of manuvereing, you can achieve salon results with this kit!

Golden Review Award: 31 From Our UsersThe Veet Essential Oils and Floral Vanilla Warm Wax was delivered very fast and arrived well packaged.
This is the only variety of warm wax I have been using for a number of years now. For some reason, there isn’t much choice in the UK shops when it comes to warm wax (unlike in other countries on the continent) and from my experience this is the best I’ve tried from what is available. I am always tempted to stock up on other products (including other Veet warm waxes) when I am travelling abroad but for some reason I find it hard to choose and knowing this product works so well I stick with it.
I never used hair removal creams because I totally dislike the very strong chemical ingredients. Over the years I have tried all sorts of root hair removal products, including home made sugaring paste and other brands of warm wax, hair removing gel like paste and other varieties of warm wax from Veet. This particular warm wax from Veet works best for me, it is mess free, quick and easy to heat up, easy to apply and remove and, most importantly, it works very, very well at removing hair from the root. Other Veet warm waxes were also good but I was unable to find them anywhere over the last few years so maybe they simply don’t sell in the UK anymore.
I use warm wax to treat underarms (except in the summer when I shave), bikini line all year around and upper lip hair on a very seldom basis (maybe once a year when I get the impression that I cans see some hair in a particular light). On this basis, a jar of this wax lasts me an entire year. I usually buy this product from a boots store. For some strange reason, this summer I could not find warm wax in any of the shops nearby (pharmacies, supermarkets, any Boots etc) so I made my purchase from Amazon. I am glad I did because the price was lower than in the shops (usually warm wax is not cheap although for my consumption it works out at good value over the year) and delivery was super fast.
The product comes in a large microwave proof tub with a removable foil seal under the screw top lid. There is also an instructions leaflet and a package of sealed 12 paper removal strips.
You can purchase spare strips when you run out (just search on Amazon). The strips included are just the right size for treating the legs area and can be easily cut to size for smaller treatment areas. They can be used multiple times during the same treatment session and then they will be discarded.
I also rely on my own cotton strips which work equally well. I cut long strips of fabric from a good quality white cotton bed sheet which I no longer need (it has to be a good quality thicker fabric of pure cotton). I only need to do this once every ten years because I get a huge supply of strips from one bed sheet and it takes me half an hour. Cut one edge of the sheet at equal intervals of different sizes which would become the width of the cotton strips. I make standard widths and thinner ones about half of the standard width so I have two sizes. Then simply tear with your hands all the way to the other end of the sheet. You end up with loads on long strips of two different widths. Stack them up and cut across to the required length. You end up with loads of spare cotton strips which are excellent for wax removal. I use a number of these for each treatment then I soak them in warm water and rinse the used wax very quickly, then put them in a zipped netting bag and wash in the washing machine. They dry in no time, I flatten them by hand and store them away clean for next time and these can be reused many times.
To use the wax you need to heat it up so it softens and becomes runny and it can be spread over the desired area. The quickest way is to melt the wax in the microwave and there are easy to follow instructions inside the box for how to do this. Alternatively, place the pot in a small pan of water. the water must be no higher than the level of wax in the pot. As the water boils, the wax inside the pot will start melting. When the wax starts melting, carefully stir the wax with the wooden spatula included with the product to get an even distribution of heat. You will be able to tell when all the wax has melted because it will become malleable and even in consistency throughout.
Both methods are easy and you must check the temperature of the wax before using it. The wooden spatula has a temperature indicator painted on one end and this will show the word ‘No’ if the wax is too hot. Double check with a small patch test on the back of your hand also to make absolutely sure the wax is not too hot.
Use the spatula to apply the wax. It is very well shaped to follow the contours of all application areas. I would recommend applying less rather than more wax at a time because it would be easier to control and remove. Also a thinner layer of wax, will make it easier to re-use the removal paper strips over again.
Apply the paper strip immediately whilst the wax is still soft and press gently in the direction of hair growth then pull the paper strip in a quick move away from the skin in the opposite direction of hair growth. It is much, much better to do one section at a time and for delicate areas do small patches at a time (that is why is good to have cut some of the paper strips to smaller sections before starting the job). Take your time and work your way one section at a time to ensure you remove all the hair correctly because, ideally, you shouldn’t double treat the same surface of skin to avoid irritation and discomfort.
Afterwards apply aloe vera gel to the treated area and do not use any creams, deodorants etc for a few hours to allow the skin to recover. The gel will soothe and hydrate the skin and calm away any redness.
The wax has a pleasant sweet fragrance and it contains natural ingredients: Sucrose, Aqua, Citric Acid, Parfum, Solanum Tuberosum Starch, Myrocarpus Fastigiatus Oil, Cedrus Atlantica Bark Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil. It is a sugar based product rather than wax. It is very flexible and spreads very easily once it is warm enough. It completely removes all hair from the root and it leaves skin much less irritated compared to other varieties of warm wax.
An excellent product I have been relying on for a good number of years and would recommend it.

I have used few different waxing products after I bought this one, looking for the perfect one basically. But I found myself coming back and buying more of Veet simply because I couldn’t find a replacement that would be this good.

First off all, the jar lasts me for 2 full legs + half arms applications, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but with waxing you don’t have to do it as often as shaving, so buying a jar once every 4 weeks it’s a great deal for money (when on offer!)

I use a wax heater now but have heated in up in a microwave before. The smell is just out of this world, it’s not overwhelming, just a delicate scent, very pleasant.

Now, waxing. It’s time consuming but when done right, it leaves your skin soft for at least a full week (I only waxed 3 times so far).
I use a baby powder before I apply the wax to get rid of the skin oil to make the wax stick better to the hair. It works wonders, getting rid of 98% of the hair.

My hair is growing back lighter and thinner, it really is worth it, I will never go back to shaving again.

The only thing I have noticed about it is that when heated for the second time it appears to be less sticky and less effective, getting rid of maybe 75%-80% of the hair. I am not sure how it works with a wax heater yet, but heating it up in a microwave the second time had that weird effect. The only thing I can advise is simply taking only half of the wax into a different container and only heat how much you need.

    Overall, great experience!
