4.0 out of 5 stars Next best thing to an original Nintendo charge
If you aren’t looking to shell out full price on an official Nintendo charger, then this is the next best thing. The charger build quality feels decent, unlike some of the other cheaper, KO stuff. The only issue to look out for is the USB C end which can feel a bit flimsy and must be carefully handled to avoid being bent. Worth the buy if you are looking to pick up a spare charger.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Nintendo Switch dock.
Works perfectly with the official Switch dock to power the Switch for play on a TV/monitor. Bought so we didn’t have to move the power cable when moving the dock and console between TV in the living room and the office and works just as well as the official power supply that came with the console.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cheaper alternative to the Nintendo Charge
Not much to say apart from it charges both the Nintendo Switch and Switch Lite.
Cable is ideal length to reach tucked away plugs although the plug itself is a bit bulky like the Nintendo one.
Ideal for a spare to take away on your travels or if you have multiple devices.
4.0 out of 5 stars Got to have a spare plug for travel, but this one is not that compac
None of these Ninendo Switch spare power supplies are cheap. But we needed one for our compact portable dock that we take on family trips to the holiday homes we rent or to our place abroad. After all I got quite tired of uncoupling the wires from the standard Switch dock and packing the fairly bulky original plastic dock.
The thing is that you really need a separate power supple and not just a mini USB cable with plug or in serial with an other device to power the Switch dock. This Venom power supply I got for a few pounds less than the usual price, but it was still an investment. Nevetheless it does what it needs to do, for the rest is sturdy and as unsightly as any other power supply. The other issue I have with console power banks in general is that they are sizeable. This one is a little different, as it just a large plug, but it is by no means compact. But I suppose that is on Nintendo.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly with our Switch
Bought this because the genuine charger was making a high-pitch whistle noise that can be heard at night time, annoying!!
This power supply has no such issue, it’s silent and works perfectly with the device docked and being used.
No issues at all here, it’s a really good aftermarket replacement charger.
5.0 out of 5 stars A good alternative
No issues with the cable. Works fine on the switch and is a decent length. I have it hanging over the sofa for handheld play or just charging my phone.
4.0 out of 5 stars It is working now
Ay first it didn’t worked I was about to return it but I don’t know what my kid did and it worked fine. I will edit this review in case it stops working
5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly.
Burnt myself a lot buying terrible cheap switch chargers that wouldn’t work with my dock. Finally caved and bought a relatively legit one. Absolutely zero issues so far, works as advertised. Cable is a good length and works with the dock without any complications. Cable is a little thin for my liking, but other than that overall build quality is good.
Want a switch charger that works with the dock and doesn’t cost a kidney? Buy this.
