If you are tech savvy then you will probably be ok.If your like me had to get family member to do it for me also not convinced it has improved performance of Wi Fi.
I have purchased this repeater to enhance the wifi signal in my home and garden. Very easy to set up and install, instructions clear and signal seems to have improved over the house.
It worked fine for 30 days then it just stopped working. No reason why and it was out of being able to return it. I had to buy a new one so went with a different make.
Unpacked, plugged it in. Found the extension on my phone settings – followed the instructions without issue. Entered password and bingo. Automatically changes over from main hub to extension when needed and even though plugged into my conservatory wall when I’m outside many yards away I still get excellent wi fi coverage. Get product and a great price. Thank you.
It worked well for 6 weeks, though setup wasn’t easy. Suddenly today it stopped working, yet nothing else has changed around. I tried reset many times and it just got more messy. I get good strong signal sometimes but no internet. Yet my Wifi weak signal is ok without repeater and I can connect to internet.
I then found out that in such cases it recovers if I move it closer to router and stays working.
Sooooo easy to set up.
My room is a WiFi ‘dead spot’ meaning my devices regularly disconnect. This is especially annoying when gaming online.
The set up booklet was so straightforward- all you need is your phone and WiFi password.
Once set up, I plugged the extender into the socket in my room and my PS4 WiFi signal strength went from 58% to 100%! Result!! No more disconnecting or lagging when gaming online.

Firstly, I they don’t seem to plug into the wall socket flush. It’s as if the plug is a little bit out of spec, and that worries me a little (but the power carrying pins are correctly shrouded, so can’t be accidentally touched.
It doesn’t seem to be possible to use this unit as a stand-alone access point (ad hoc wifi access point/hub). Nor is it possible to use this device on an open network without a password.
As far as I can tell, this device won’t extend a 5GHz network, only a 2.4GHz network.
Otherwise, it’s a cheap and cheerful way to boost a wifi network signal.
Couldn’t get the WPS to work but it was still really easy to set up in a bout a minute with the Web interface. Now get great single outside on my decking.
The instructions are well written and straightforward to follow with a quick start and a more detailed leaflet .
We did struggle a bit to get it to work and had to reset and start again . However this was most probably user error and it now works fine .
