A little tricky to fit up (due to my poor measuring). However it has worked a treat at sealing the room in order to keep the cool air in and hot air out whilst the air con tube is hanging out of the window.

The air conditioner window kit arrived in good order and is of decent quality. There is clear instructions for installation and it is easy to install. I am happy with the product as it is exactly fit for purpose.

We bought this in preparation for Summer and it was very easy to set up.
We purposely bought the larger size as you get more of the Velcro tape for the setup.
We bought two of these so that we could set it up on multiple windows.
We have an outside opening window, and this was still easy to setup, even though it opens outwards.
Very good quality, and multiple zips if you need multiple openings.
Good value for a very good product!

Everything you need is in the box and the instructions are very clear. Once fitted the window can be opened and closed without removing it and once it’s in place it’s a very good barrier. There is more than enough self adhesive hook tape for the largest window however I took the opportunity to purchase additional tape and pre install on other windows around the house so the air conditioner could be moved easily as the cover is a doddle to fit to the tape.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really easy to fit and is effective

The window cover is made out of a great, waterproof material. It uses Velcro strips to attach to the window panel (make sure it’s clean!) If your window is only slightly open, it may cause the material to flap in the wind, but as long as the window is opened a bit more it’s not a problem! Also, the window shuts absolutely fine with the cover still attached so you don’t need to take it off every time the air con is not in use.

The product is exactly how it is described. It arrived on time and was easy to install. The only issue is that the zipper is not strong enough to hold the air conditioning pipe in place, which results in the pipe coming free after prolonged use. Nevertheless I would buy the product again as this can easily be rectified by trying the zip’s together.

Easy to fit, and the four zips (two on each side of the hose) are good and sturdy. Once the sticky back velcro is applied it’s easy to remove the kit for the winter months. Noticed a huge difference in cooling efficiency – I now get a reduction in temperature of around 4-5 degrees well within an hour fairly easily, whereas before it was taking twice as long to achieve half this impact. Well worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersIf you’re like me, you despise summer and hot muggy days/nights. So you’ve bought an air conditioner but – you’re annoyed. This isn’t the USA, so Air Conditioning here is portable and needs a hose. When you switch it on it creates a negative vacuum – I’ll get to that later, which has to draw air in from somewhere – like the outside where a giant hose is hanging.

Enter this kit. Now I won’t lie upon first taking it out the box you sit and wonder. How, what and where?! But you quite quickly see how it works.

But how does it work? Well, it stops the hot, humid air coming back in from either the vent, or the outside. It provides a seal which keeps the room cool for longer, reducing the time you need your AC on, and without any moths or bugs.

The Velcro tape is some of the strongest I’ve ever come across, and I’ve had mosquito nets, blackout blinds and all sorts and nothing is as strong as this.

The product itself, you can remove it in the winter, and replace it as it’s just Velcro on a window. It has two zips so it fits dual AC units or anything with two hoses, or if it’s just a nice breezy day you can open the second and enjoy a rare fresh breeze.

This product has been rained on since I installed it and it absolutely is waterproof, I was worried about the Velcro seal but it held.

Inside the box is everything you need to keep the warm air out and the cold air in, and I’ll explain how that works here.

So an air conditioner sucks in air and uses a refrigerant gas to cool the air while expelling heat. The chemistry I’ll leave to your Googling all you need to know is this – when you have a single hose Air Conditioner it creates a vacuum – which is to say, despite the cold air coming out It is pulling in air from around it, and the first place – is the window. The hot air expelled is brought back inside.

    This product
    – Increases efficiency
    – Stops moths/other insects from getting in
    – Is of good quality from what I’ve seen for over 1 month use.
    – Offers a dual hose or the ability to open the window and enjoy fresh air on a cooler day
    – Is compatible with anything that needs a hose out the window, some tumble dryers etc.

And come autumn, when you pop the air conditioner away, you need only peel the seal away from the Velcro, roll it up and save it for next year.

I give it 5 stars with only one slight improvement, the zips are good but the zip ties aren’t 100% effective. It would be good to find a slightly better seal: but this is real scraping for criticism, because it’s barely an inch gap if that and perfectly secure.

The only other improvement I could suggest would be a video showing installation, however, since there are so many different types of window, this may be impossible.

I will absolutely purchase again if anything happens to mine, I won’t take chances on any others.

So, 5 stars from me. If you have any questions, pop them in the comments or the questions box and I am happy to joint those happy customers who will answer.

I recently purchased an air conditioner window kit designed for swing open windows, and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. The installation process was straightforward, and the kit provided clear instructions and all the necessary components. It securely held my portable air conditioner in place, ensuring stability even with the window open.

The window kit’s adjustable design made it versatile and suitable for various window sizes. It created a proper seal around the air conditioner exhaust, preventing air leakage and maintaining a comfortable temperature inside. Not only did it enhance the efficiency of my portable air conditioner, but it also had a sleek and unobtrusive appearance that blended well with my window frame. Overall, I highly recommend this air conditioner window kit for anyone seeking a hassle-free solution to use their portable air conditioner on swing open windows.

Overall this is a good quality window seal. Strong material, good zipper, sticky back velcro sticks strongly to your window seal. I advise that you double check Window size to match to the correct size (300/400/500cm). %

I found the size to be slightly larger than expected. I bet that was something I was aware of. Easy to install. I was worried about the seal from the corners but it works well.
And comes with 3 zip closures and two plastic fasteners that you can attach to your air conditioning hose, thelp secure it in place. Xx

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this for an upstairs window so had to install from the inside. Wasn’t an issue as there are plenty of videos on youtube to help. Didn’t take very long although it can be a bit tricky and takes a bit of readjusting. its not the neatest looking gadget but it does the job and you can still close the window if you need to by removing the hose – the netting can remain if the window is shut. We only needed the shortest size for this window.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAfter watching YouTube videos on how to install, I found its best to apply on the outside. However, I’m not going up ladders… Too high for me…

Therefore I applied the window sealant kit whilst I was inside the property. It was trickier this way, however I managed to install it in approx 30 mins. I thought it looked great and worked well from the inside. I looked outside afterwards, I have to say it doesn’t look professional… As long as property aesthetics doesn’t bother you, then you’re onto a winner! If you can install it from the outside, then it’ll most likely look better than mine!

Not really the weather for air-con just yet, but the last few years have shown there will be a pretty hot spell at some point, so I thought it worthwhile to invest in a portable unit.
Fitting this kit was pretty fiddly, but with some patience got it all taped up and in the right place.
It’s not massively portable, I had hoped to use it on more than one window, maybe with more velcro tape?
The outlet pipe sits best as low as possible otherwise there is a tendency to drag the zip open.

On the whole, ok as a temporary or seasonal solution, and a lot cheaper than fully fitted AC!
