Perfect Resul
This worked like a miracle. It took just 10 days to transform my dark Green pond water to crystal clear. My gravity filter integrated light kept failing and I didn’t want to but a new filter so this was the perfect answer. Easy to install.
None of the faults of its rival Jebao 18w similar constructio
Had a Jebao 18w and this is similar comstruction and design, with improvements. The removal of the UV tube and crystal cylindar is easier, the install of the UV assembly has a nice slip ring fixing so not screwing cable every time like the Jebao. The ballast is a lot more moisture resistant and complete sealed unit . .so all good. as it uses the same UV lamps and yhe quality of the crystal tube is same should perform the same, but hopefully longer before it starts blowing lamps like the Jebao.
one critique is the hose fittings are a little small diameter for pipe and need a good quality ring clip to keep from leaking at hose connections, they just fall off and dont have the deep barb’s . . but installed with no leaks now I wait to see tesults.
Very happy with the price, same lamp size so will be replacing the other two UV’s if all goes well.
Nit even a year old
Not even had this uv filter a year, and when the bulb stopped working i tried to look and see what was wrong and found this, I have no idea how long it’s been like that as I havnt checked it for a while

Having had been water for most of the summer we decided to add this as the normal algae chemicals weren’t working. In one week we’ve gone from not being able to see the fish, to a clear pond. Wish we’d bought it sooner. Great flow rate and price. Would recommend. Fingers crossed it runs for a long time.
Quality product !
Cleared my pond in a matter of days, i previously had a 5 watt hozelock version, the 11watt uv bulb in this Pond Solutions model works well, looks like tap water now, there is a visible band around the centre where the blue uv light can be seen, so easy to detect if the bulb fails at some point. I would recommend this product.

More by chance than design i’d not had algae problems until this year. Went to pea soup in a matter of days and nothing got rid of it so went for this uv filter. Arrived next day, about an hour to rearrange pipes and fit it, less than a week and saw improvements, these shots are the water after 10 days. The unit itself is in the shade, couplings are tight and no leaks noticed. Handy window to check the bulb is working. So far so good.

Went on holiday and when I returned my pump was blocked so the water from my pond wasn’t reaching the filters, the water was green and murky, bought this and within 10 days my water is crystal clear. Highly recommend this.
Good easy to fit budget uv lamp
Good is easy to fit…good price.
Bad….no mains plug fitted….despite clear glass view port you cant see if light is working..from previous purchase this lamp will only last 1 year. Not tried to replave the uv lamp inside though..yet.

Great clearing of green water.
Liked it all. It was a fiddle to fit but no more then any other. When I got it fitted well the water cleared up within a week and hasn’t gone green since.

Hats off to the seller, product arrived within 24 hours.
Set it up in my 5500 litre pond on arrival, took only 15 mins to have up and running. Really like the inspection window which allows you to see UV lamp is working. Also like the clear hose connector with visible spinner to show the water flow.
Time will tell but first impressions are excellent.

Does a great job
Bought this uv for my grow on tank as it kept going green, cleared up after a few weeks of installing it. Good price for a small uv, very happy with its performance
Great value and performance!
Just because it is not a big brand product don’t think that you won’t get big brand performance. In fact, I have used UVC’s costing a lot more than this and they haven’t performed as well. This product is great value for money and when used in conjunction with a filter box turned my pond from green to clean in around 72 hours. It is relatively easy to assemble and install with the correct tools and fittings and replacement UV bulbs are reasonably priced as well.
Does it’s job
I read a few bad reviews so was dubious, however I’ve had no issues at all, pond is once again crystal clear after my old uv failed , so I decided to write the review just so people know it’s not bad at all
Wow, wow, wow!!! My pond cleared in 2 yes 2 days. I can’t recommend this enough. I have had problems with my pond greening since I built it tried all the potions but no good did some research and to be honest wasn’t holding my breath today I went to feed my fish and was amazed! So happy and the fish seem to agree
Please note that it comes without a plug and the instructions weren’t very clear but common sense tells you what’s what.
Clear wate
Instructions need reading twice but once sorted unit is quite easy to fix in-line. Within 2 weeks very noticeable difference in clarity of water. Can see much deeper into pond than before.
the wattage powe
good build quality. quite easy to instal. the cable is very generous so no adaptation to be made there. generous 18watt uv tube and working very well.. pleased with my purchase.
It works!
Unit arrived well packed ,promptly and complete. Seller was very helpful sorting a minor blip and although it has only been fitted to my pond filtration for about a week the water is already much clearer. So far I am very pleased.
Purchased to replace previous 18 watt clarifier having looked for a price bracket i could afford. Had problems fitting the usual struggle with leaks and pipe clips that have a mind of their own. Ended up replacing corrugated pipe with newer more supple one as being outside for a long time they tend to become stiff and brittle .some of the clips on the market are poor and require a spanner to tighten. Finally mounted the unit on my shed next to the pond , another pain the ballast block attached to the cable means you can,t feed the the short cable through a hole in the shed to reach the electrics as with previous model. , so had to cut slot in door frame to allow access. Anyway attached plug and ran pump so water was running through unit as advised plugged in but no light showing in unit so gave up til next morning. Next day took out bulb and checked connection , turned out it was the clip in the bottom of the lamp holder , a small transparent clip which has to be pushed into the base of the bulb to lock it in place when you work out which side of the spring clips it goes in. Eureka!! we have light .. But for how long? the Ballast unit gets so hot i,m frightened it might fail and end up burning down the shed !!! Oh what fun.!!! One week on and the lamp is doing its job ok, have the ” Pie Heater ” resting on an old marble chopping block to diffuse some of the heat . Only time will tell how it goes on.. 1 year on new 18watt bulb still working but now can see band of light on body which shows up at night!! think this must be designed for people who use two outlets because they won,t have the sight glass. P. S. Some people buy uva lamps thinking it will kill Blanket Weed, it won,t you need a separate treatment for this. See attached photo to show you don,t need sight glass at night to show lamp is working.P.S. has failed after 2 years hole in body has appeared which was very thin , no wonder i could see the light through it !!! see pic. Does a good job with regard to keeping the water clear.
The design is basically vey good other than In my pond the rotating vane which apparently lets you know the pump is working clogged up almost immediately and almost seems to act as a dam for any blanket weed or floating debris in the water. As the waterfall itself tells me the pump is working I am tempted to remove the vane.I have been using it for a couple of months now and the water is crystal clear so overall worth 4.5 out of 5
Reef tank (dinoflagellates)
Bought 18w uv for my 240l reef tank after long fight with dinoflagellates, I added the unit to return line from the sump started a 3day blackout and Dinoflagellates was completely gone, 2weeks later no Dino have returned and my water has never looked as Crystal clear, I will never run a reef tank without UV Sterilizer again, weirdly doesn’t come with plug but this is easy to sort, hope this is helpful to someone.

Fantastic is the headline and that’s no exaggeration. My pond was like pea soup and not a fish could be seen, but since fitting this UV Steriliser to my pump/filter system (2 days) the water is now virtually clear and I am sure that within 1/2 weeks it will be crystal. This really is a Fantastic piece of kit.
If I could give this 10 I would, my Pond looked like mushy peas soup and so I saw the reviews on this and thought, it’s not wildly expensive so I will give it a go, so easy to connect to my filter box 20 minutes and it was good to go,4 days of it being connected my pea soup pond was turning brown and I thought oh no..then 5 days later..I have crystal clear water, I can see the bottom of my pond, unfortunately so can the Herons, so that is another problem to be solved.. honestly I did not think that this would do exactly what it said in the box, brilliant purchase recommend to anyone with a medium sized pond..
Simple to put together and use. I had to return the first one sent as the uv light did not work. This was easy using the Amazon returns process. They sent another straight away which arrived very quickly. This one worked fine. The pond took a couple of weeks to clear of the green algae problem I had and is now maintaining its clearness.
Overall very pleased with the unit and would recommend it.
I would have given 5 stars if the first unit hadn’t been faulty.
Seems sturdy and works well
Seems sturdy and works well. BUT it doesnt come with a plug, not even a chinese one with a uk adapter, just bare wires!! in this day and age i think thats unacceptable. However i still think its a good value bit of kit, just be aware of the plug issue
Well made unit with a solid feel and promising performance . There are many factors that create “green water ” and all situations are therefore not equal and can result in varying satisfaction with relation to just how efficient these UV units are!
My pond is in full sun for most of the day and is well stocked with fish and only about 15% surface shade from plants and Water lily leaf coverage so the surface area gets a good dose of sunlight that helps promote algeal growth and subsequent green water ! !
In spiteof this , after a couple of weeks running ….. this unit has far outstripped the ” built in ” UV in my Oase pressure filter and I have been able to turn the Oase inbuilt UV off completely and the unit has performed admirably ” all on its’ own ” and it is doing the job I purchased it for …. A good buy at a very reasonable price point …Get one before they all go !
