So far these have been nice to use and held up well. The rubber handles give some added safety when working around electricity but offer extra cushion even if you aren’t. Overall I’m happy and these were cheaper than h-freight without leaving home!
I was pleasantly surprised how good these feel and work for basics. Particularly liked the bright Orange covering. It makes it so much easier to find them in my toolbox.

Aufgrund der Verstellbarkeit kam sie auch schon fr Audiokabel zum Einsatz.
Einzig eine Arretierung fehlt mir, mit der sich die Zange auch dauerhaft schlieen liee. Dies wre bei der Unterbringung im Werkzeugkasten hilfreich.

A good set of assorted pliers/cutters, Amazon Basics seem to offer a selection of what they sell via other sellers under their own branding, this set, screwdrivers, bits etc. All at reasonable prices.
From description and stated size do not tell actual tool size. Can do, Because i do not have any pliers. Though they are medium sized cannot think of use for other than casual domestic work.
i’ve received a few Amazon Basics product to review and I’ve been impressed by them all. One thing that never appears to be basic is the quality of the product, and these are no exception.
I have a collection of tools, I’m a home DIYer so the more tools I have the better. This is a great set – they’re strong and have a good grip on them. To have all 3 tools in one box saves having to look round for them amongst my other tools.
A good set of pliers – highly recommended. Do not be put off by the ‘Amazon Basics’ branding – for me this is a sign of quality.
Despite the Basics brand name these seem like good professional pliers – you get regular pliers, long nosed pliers and diagonal pliers or wire cutters. The pliers are quite substantial and have handles with a comfortable to hold insulated non-slip surface. The tools are VDE approved for quality and safety. They come with a robust zipped case with elastic straps to keep the tools in their place. A great set for any tool collection.
It is not for professional use since it is 50 % heavier than a real Knipex alligator and the teeth are not as sharp.
The metal is much thicker than the alligator and not as polished. But I have doubts it could take the repeated abuse including being stood on and supporting a full body weight as seen in knipex videos. When I have a dirty, abusive job I use my alligators and save my cobras. These however, I will save around electricity since none of other ones are insulated.
The insulated handles are very comfortable and there is no slip or jiggle in the joint. It does not open as wide as the alligator with 2 less hinge joint positions.
What’s funny is the 3 piece Amazon Basics insulated electricians pliers are so much more refined and balanced and more European like than these Basics. Those pliers are the same weight as the European tools and equally polished and seem to be of a much higher steel alloy than this water pump pliers.
The 9:piece insulated plier (3) and and insulated screwdrivers (6) is under $19. And is the best deal of all and I bought 5 sets as gifts.
Water pump,plier was Good deal at $12 it not at $20. But again 9 piece underm$19 with 3 VSE pliers and screwdrivers way to go for homeowner..
