Recently rearranged my desk so I needed some much longer display port cables and a lot of brands didn’t have 15 foot long cables that I needed so it was nice to see Amazon basics had them in this length for less money than others charge for shorter cables.

Once it arrived I installed them into my 4K 60Hz monitors and they work as expected, no issues I’ve noticed and they’re easy to cable manage through my stand and under my desk. It’s a bit thicker than my old cable but that hasn’t caused any issues and hopefully that lends to more durability long term.

5.0 out of 5 stars Budget cable that works great and long length

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOk, so I’ve been team HDMI for about 15 years now, I was wrong. About everything. My whole world is a lie, DP is the way to go. I was a bit skeptical about amazon basics, but guys (and girls), this is some seriously good kit, and you’d be a fool to go for some flashy more expensive cable for no real extra benifit. If you need a DP cable, you should get this.

This is a good quality DISPLAYPORT cable, but be warned: it’s *very* short and only suitable if your monitor is very close to the computer base.

I am using it with a 32inch Philips monitor without any problems.

I ordered this recently for my home office to connect a Dell Wyse terminal – a Dell monitor. Really pleased. I would recommend checking your area firstly before placing an order as the cable does come in different lengths and I’m glad I checked as I needed the 6ft cable to move my Wyse off of the desk to free up more space.

Brought this as I broke My old Lead in a drunken stupor. I have to say it was not an Amazon Basics one. Works & came exactly as described. I don’t see the point in paying over the top silly prices for things when Amazon Basic product does the job just as well asan over priced item. Plus this item came the next day (Via Amazon Prime) as I anxiously waited for it to plug in to My GPU & Monitor hoping I hadn’t Borged it in My previous Drunken stupor.

it’s rated as “hd”, and has been tested as working at 1080p at 165hz.

Physical quality is great, length is generous at 10ft and connectors are solid. This product is as great as Amazon’s treatment of warehouse staff is terrible.

I ordered this to link my monitor to my laptop however it was the wrong connection!! Still, this arrived very quick, was well packaged and it’s good value for money. I have now passed on to my niece for her laptop.

What can I say, it’s a cable that performs it’s function – seems well made, and at a good price point.
I would say “would buy again” but it is slightly redundant, as I already have – I use this cable for three monitors in my home.

I had a much more expensive DP cable and the pin came off…got this and it does the same job only better build quality! Don’t be conned into buying the more expensive DP cables. Amazon Basics make some quality cables, I got a couple of USB cables from them also…good stuff!

I like this cable because the DPort plugs at each end are fairly short and slim so don’t hit the wall behind the machine or foul other plugs plugged in the system or the screen.
I can’t fault the picture I’m getting. I’d buy this again if needed.

I bought 2x15ft cables to support my dual-monitor setup running at 3840×2160 with a refresh rate of 60Hz. As I use a standing desk I wanted plenty of excess capacity and I also wanted to put my desktop to the side rather than underneath the desk. These fit the bill perfectly and the picture quality is great with no flicker, blackouts etc.

I will say that they are quite thick with little flex and a solid core. This isn’t an issue at all for me but beware of this before buying if you expect ones you can easily bend around sharp corners. Most DisplayPort cables also include a release button – these don’t – but they gripped my graphics card and monitor perfectly well.

I debated in my head whether this should be 4 or 5 stars given the minor cons above, but for my needs they are definitely 5 stars and this is the rating I will give them.

Was dubious to buy a cheaper branded cable, but it does its job well. Works as it should, clear display, g-sync compatible too. Cable is pretty thick, so if you need to fit round tight corners, that might be an issue. Hopefully should last a long time.

I bought a new graphics card with DisplayPort and HDMI, but happily my monitors had DP ports available (previous card was DVI). So needing a new pair of cables, and knowing that this is digital data we’re talking about here, I bought these.

I can’t tell you anything about the quality of the copper or the sheathes, but the connectors are sturdy and beautifully made. They fit perfectly and grip in the sockets well, especially important since they’re vertical as they go into the monitors.

I can’t say anything else other than they do their job perfectly (emblzoned with their Amazon Basics logo LOL) and I really can’t find any fault. You need DisplayPort cables? Buy these, not some fancy ones that cost five times as much.

It’s thick and it’s long and fat… And while your minds in the gutter let me remind you this is about my Amazon Basics display port cable.

I mean it’s an Amazon Basics cable. It does exactly what it says on the tin. My only point of improvement is it doesn’t have the teeth found on other display port cables so a brief tug and you’ve slipped out!

Meets all of the rated cable specifications.

Even though there are no latches on the cable, theres no way i can get it to fall out of anywhere I’ve plugged it in to, no idea how other reviewers are finding this a problem.

    Good value for money too.

    Would recommend.

I think that some Amazon branded products are worth buying. I had purchased a different brand DP cable a while ago, and the quality was cheap, the whole cable felt very cheap and stiff, left marks on the back of the monitor from all that plug/unplug action ( it was loosing signal from time to time). This cable feels like good quality, no lost signal until now, easy to handle. I would recommend buying it.

Good cable for the price. It’s a pretty thick cable, which is great in terms of robustness etc but flagging as if you want to hide it in truncking with other cables it’s pretty chunky so bear that in mind. Would defo buy again if I needed another DP cable for use with a monitor up to 60hz for general purposes.

If you are looking for a cable for gaming to run higher frame rates (60hz +) then you may want to look for another option.

So far so good. Runs at 144hz on a 27″ monitor fine.

One star removed. As others have said, seems to be a little loose on the Graphics card. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue though.

This cable works and is pretty thick and stiff (so no sharp corners) but the biggest negative is that the connectors have no latches. This means when you mess around with the cable it has a tendency to come unplugged.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersNicely made, well built, reasonable price.

And it doesn’t have locking tabs which I am glad of. I have been frustrated on many occasions, reaching with one hand behind my PC desperately attempting to get my fat fingers in-between multiple cables, trying and failing to press hard enough to release the locks on a DP cable.

I really don’t think they’re necessary in 99% of installations – the DP connector itself forms more than a strong enough connection to prevent accidental disconnection. HDMI cables never have locking tabs and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve found an HDMI cable has come loose.
