This is a 2-pack of 3-metre extension cords designed to extend the length of the power cord for any mains device. The female connector attaches to the device’s power cable, while the male connector plugs into a standard EU outlet. The power rating is 13 amps.
I like that the plug is low profile so that it takes up the minimal amount of room sticking out of a socket. I also like that the wiring diagram is printed on the back of the extension socket case. Ironically, the case is sealed shut with security screws that look like slotted snake eye screws.
For this extension, I wanted a simple, no-frills single extension cord that I could plug into a single device in the rat’s nest behind the TV and forget about it. The other I will use to extend the lead on the iron. These extensions gave me exactly that. They are inexpensive, have decent cable, and just work. Like me, they are useful in a variety of situations, and the black colour suited me fine as it blended into all the other dark cables behind the TV. Recommended.
These Amazon Basics 5-meter extension cables are well made and great value. The 5-metre cable is thick, the socket is constructed of hard plastic and with a rubberised mains plug it should be very durable.
Overall, 2 good quality extension cables for 13.88 at the time of review is great value.

From a build point of view, these seem fine. I’ve been an electrical engineer for over 30yrs, and no warning signs with quality. As with all Amazon own brand products, they offer great quality and value. Cable will lay flat if uncoiled properly. Recommended.
These Amazon basic extension leads are well made using thick cable and tough plastic plugs. Both feel solid, so they should last for quite some time. Both are five metres in length and, although they’ll only extend a single socket, it’s just what I needed.
Needed an extra plug to run round the back of the coffee machine – and this is perfect.
Just plain bog standard lead with a single plug.

These extension leads are 5m long and feel very good quality.
Each one has a single 3 pin plug socket and at 5m will cover most needs for a single extension lead.
They come in a recyclable cardboard box with no unnecessary packaging.
This extension lead seems well put together and the cable itself is quite robust. It has a good length of cable (five metres) and a moulded safety plug. It has a single socket on the other end. Good functional extension cables.
