Ideal for my needs as a piton/warthog hammer. Balance is ok and based on experience with similar it will be fine and sturdy enough. It’s a club hammer. I drilled a hole through the end of the handle and threaded with 6mm prusik cord to clip onto harness.
I am pleased with this club hammer. It’s a club hammer no more no less.
its a cheap club hammer but looks like its up to the job. only time will tell. now ive got it and asked if id buy one again then the answer would be yes without a doubt.
Our old mallet has seen better days and the rubber looks like it is starting to perish a little bit so this is big improvement. Amazon Basics are usually really good quality and this is no exception. Comfortable grip, looks good and good value for money at the current competitive price.
There’s a handy hole, albeit a rather small one at the end of the handle so it can be hung up. There is also a rubber ring at the joint of the handle and head, I’m not sure what its purpose is as it seems entirely too loose to be a protective seal for that joint and simply works its way down the handle when the mallet is used.
Basic it may be, but it does everything one would want a rubber mallet to be – and with a pretty basic price tag it’s a worthwhile addition to the toolbox.
Everyone needs a hammer for around the house. This is a very sturdy little club hammer.
I have not put this through anything major but from what I have done I think that the fibreglass handle will last a long time. It is ideal for small tasks around the house. You would not want to bash a wall down with it but it’s ideal for hitting a chisel I have also used it to assist in splitting hardwood logs.
Like I say it’s a good little club for odd jobs around the house.
This is a rubber mallet with a quality handle, just like it says, what you don’t know is the rubber is high density, hits evenly and that the handle is a good length, the finish is very good and the mallet is just right, does the job really well. Thanks!
My husband did the blokey thing of getting quite animated when I presented him with this Club hammer and made hammering gestures at imaginary objects.
He says its very well made and robust and strong and yet not too weighty owing to the fibreglass handle and could be used quite comfortable for a lengthy project.

A rubber mallet with a good sized, fairly heavy head but on a balanced handle so easy to use. Especially useful for jobs where you want to avoid damaging what you hit, such as reshaping damaged car bodywork, but hard enough for other work too. Good length and contoured handle makes for comfortable and effective use.

This is an impressive rubber mallet from the Amazon Basics range.It has quite a wide spacious rubber head and long shock absorbing fibre glass handle.The second half of the handle is textured with grips running along the side to help with maintaining this tool within your grasp.
A rubber mallet comes in handy for more delicate installations like trucking lid as an example.The rubberised head will not damage the trucking when your are knocking/clicking it into place.
The tool comes in grey and black,with a hanging eye at the base of the handle.
A nice heavy good quality rubber mallet. We have found it perfect for knocking in those nasty tent pegs on our camping holiday or even in our garden. You really cannot go wrong with this item.
This hammer really packs a punch. I’m surprised at how strong it is – I’d seen the word ‘fibreglass’ and thought it would be a light hammer. It possibly is lighter than otherwise, but it is a very strong hammer for when the job requires. Good grip and useful.
I think he may be having delusions that he is Thor again.
The hammer is solid and strong but reasonably lightweight considering.

This hammer is very useful for heavy jobs. It is not a basic household hammer, but a ‘club’ or ‘lump’ hammer, and ideal for demolition, etc. It appears to be well made, and is easy to grip. Good for d.i.y. and also trade use where a small but heavy hammer is needed.
Fantastic quality! So well made, just the right weight for more if a heavy duty jobs. We have a set of lighter hammers of different weights and this just finished off the “collection”! LOL. Now we have every hammer one might need for any job in and around the house and hubby is over the moon with the addition to his tools range in his “man shed”
