I wasn’t sure about this purchase but the minute I started to sharpen the first knife, I knew I’d made the right choice. It’s small and very easy to use. I would definitely recommend.

Heard about this from a professional chef. Had some doubts but gave it a try and it is very good.
Really does sharpen my old knives. The only thing I would say is that it does not affix to just any surface.
Even so it is perhaps the best sharpener I have ever used.

Produces a very sharp edge that smoothly slices through everything from cucumbers to cabbage. Not the smoothest blade finish that hours of honing on various grades of stone a Japanese master might get, but it gives me blades that flows through whatever I’m cutting!

I usually get the job of sharpening knives etc by the family. We all agree a sharp knife is safer than a blunt knife.
It takes a little practice & experience to sharpen knives in a traditional method. However, I bought this to help my wife when I’m not available & both of us are really impressed by it’s performance.
It sticks to the kitchen bench with ease, pull the knife through a couple of times & it’s done. It simply unlocks from the bench & put aside until required again.
I should have bought one earlier & it’s a lot cheaper than the tools I use generally to sharpen the knives.

So easy to use, just slip your weapon or choice between the flaps and slide it through from tip to base and it will keep it ready for use on anything at any time.

This little gadget has sharpened all of my knives with very little effort on my part. The sucker at the bottom attaches itself to your worktop extremly well. To enable the suction you pull down on the sturdy leaver and voila it’s stuck firm! To release again lift up on the leaver and slide the AnyKnife off the edge.

After seeing their ad, which is on the left of this page, titled “AnySharp Knife Sharpener. Wow – I still have all my fingers!” not only did it make me laugh but it made me hit the buy now button. One of the best ads I’ve ever seen. 5 stars for the product and another 5 for the video, thanks for the laugh.

Good easy to use the suction works well. Bought for my father who’s not as able bodied as he used to be so the fact he doesn’t have to hold it down to use i

he sucker is VERY fussy about the surface you put it on and the hshape – ie the height of the sharpening bits means you cannot use anything with a guard on it BUT apart from that it works fine .. DO NOT put pressure on the slice just run it though or you will take a off many layers of the blade

After being disappointed by a new set of knoves that were as sharpo as butter knives . Decided to purchase a knife sharpener .Being disabled I needed something to hold knives steady.
I can recommended this sharpener , it is so small and has an extremely good suction to hold firm on worktops . It worked out that it saved me money as it sharpened the knives I had , so no need to waste money buying a new set . More than happy with purchase

Was optimistic when ordered this as in past I’ve had knife sharpeners that didn’t live upto expectations. How wrong I was, this is FANTASTIC, easy to use and leaves knives and scissors so sharp, for the price this is a bargain, highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersArrived next day. A really effective sharpener that’s easy and safe to use. My first one of these broke after 5 and a half years – suction cup parted company with the frame. At less than 14p a month I thought a replacement was fine. If anything the new one produces even sharper blades than the old. Highly recommended.

I took my knives to my brothers to have them sharpened he had recently purchased this nifty little item its a must have easy to use and does a good job. Its only small and firs in the gadget drawer for storage. I would say look at the prices the red was the most expensive then the blue and by several pounds the silver was sew much cheaper all doing the same job.

So I was reluctant to try this due to the infomercial style video’s but decided to take the plunge and you know what it is actually really good, my cutlery draw is now a hazard in a good way. All our knives now work a lot better after only a few passes and the suction cup is actually pretty strong

Good product which sharpens knives for regular use. However if blunt then will need a grinder however this is reasonably quiet so can use without deafening anyone. For the price fantastic (so far).

simple in concept it is, simple in use is stretching the truth. Imo it takes off too much metal and leaves a coarse finish to the blade edge, which leaves it needing finishing by fine honing or stropping.
Also if you don’t keep a continuous movement and even pressure on the blade,it leaves a micro jagged edge.
For a knife with a curved or tapered end it takes reasonable skill to to move through the full motion fluently.
Probably not ideal for a lot of serrated edge knives. but hey for most home users most of the time it gives a good result, so watch your fingers when using the newly sharpened knife.

This is a great device for anyone to use as the suction pad keeps it firmly on the work top so that it does not
move around while sharpening your knives.

Handy toll for elderly & disabled

Have it sticking on side of freezer and give knives a mini sharpen when cooking. works really well, but beware, don’t leave the knives in soapy water after .. have the scars to prove it .. my bad.
I had already bought good knives that weren’t pointy, doh, , so … works well but be careful

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersOn the whole I’m very impressed with this ‘Any Sharp’ tungsten sharpener & how little effort it takes to sharpen my knives compared to my old handheld device. I’m also grateful I can get replacement blades in the future. My only criticism (see photos) is that – due to large area of the upper flat surface immediately behind the sharpening-blades – I cannot sharpen the rearmost couple of centimetres of my filleting-knife, whereas the old handheld sharpener doesn’t exhibit this issue.

4.0 out of 5 stars On the whole very impressive, with one caveat…

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was fed up of trying to cut vegetables and the like with knives that could double as butter ones. Looked on here and chose this one due to the reviews. It’s a small little thing but my god doesn’t it pack a punch. Suction to the kitchen worktop is very strong. You can tell as soon as you pull the knife along the sharpening edge it’s gonna be good. Not too much pressure is needed and ten or so draws and you’ve transformed your crap knife. It’s worth noting that a small amount of metal comes off the knife so make sure you give it a wipe once finished. It’s never gonna be as good as a wet sharpening stone but a very close second. Highly recommended

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad some rather blunt kitchen knifes that were years old but very good knifes over the years, after seeing this anysharp many times on adverts and on YouTube, wondering is it as good as everyone says it is? The answer is yes, after using a few times and then finishing the knifes off with the steel, they are like new.
Take your time when using the anysharp and then use a steel in the knifes, and you will have excellent results.

Would recommend anysharp to sharpen your knifes if like myself you don’t have the skill required to do a professional job on a stone, but use a steel after using the anysharp

I’m always a bit scepitcal about products like these, like how good can it really be?

But…it’s super simple to use and exceptionally effective. I have a set of pro-cook knives, bought about a year ago – nothing fancy or top of the range, just a decent set of knives.

I could tell that they were going blunt so thought I’d try this product out instead of getting a laborious Whetstone. 2/3 drags of the knife through the points and bosh, they’re sharp again!

Definitely try this for a super affordable, easy to use sharpener.

Works to sharpen like described, only sharpens a thin area on the edge of the blade, so doesn’t shave off more of the metal than needed. I keep this item next to my sink and run the knife through a couple times every time I wash a knife to keep a nice edge on the blade.

Sharpens knives well. hard to say if it is actually better than other types of sharpeners, but the suction pad attaches to work surface real solidly and therefore makes it very safe to use.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThis any sharp product is great. Firstly its a very affordable and simple way to ensure your knifes at home stay sharp.

It takes very little space and sits neatly in the cupboard.

It has a suction cup style base which is very strong for mounting to the kitchen worktop. Once adhered it is highly unlikely that it will move when being used for its intended use.

There’s a handy direction arrow which shows the direction to draw your blade back to so you can’t get it wrong.

Within less than 10 drags of the knife blade across the tungsten sharpening part, my knife went from blunt to remarkably sharp.

Before sharpening I struggled to get a nice clean cut on chicken, some vegetables etc but after a matter of seconds of sharpening; the knife now cuts with ease.

It’s a good idea to remember this will produce some small metal filings so please remember to wash your knife and work surface before preparing food.

All in all I am very pleased.

I’ve always used a Knife Sharpening Steel or stone block which would take forever to sharpen knife as good as this little knife sharpening gadget does
but this little gadget very well thought out
    in terms of safety
    convenience of size,
    Price,
It really is going to be one of them gadgets you’re going to see in everybody’s household
and yes it really does sharpen knifes very sharp in no time at all, so be vary careful..

    Don’t hesitate.. buy it!

I like my new knife sharpener a lot! I really enjoy cook and take pride in the utensils I use, this means I buy decent knives and want to keep them tip-top. When I first got it I went on a sharpening spree and its probably odd to say but had quite a bit of fun with doing “before and after” tests on various knife types. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWas very sceptical about how this would put an edge on knives. It does, I also had an old knife that was so blunt it wouldn’t cut melted butter, it didn’t take long to put an edge on it.
Prior to buying this, I was considering purchasing a new knife set upwards of 100. I’m so glad I bought this, all the knives in the house are now razor sharp, saved myself 100+ on this occasion and probably the same again when the new set got blunt.
Would definitely recommend having one of these in the kitchen.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOh heck yes. Glide that piece of steel backwards several times and run said sharpened edge over your arm hairs (CAREFULLY)! see naked arm as you shriek and raise eyebrows in amazement that a knife sharpener actually does what it says on the box.

On a serious note, gentle pressure is all that is required for the sharpest edge imaginable. I used to be a muppet, only using oil stones at set angles. Took me hours to put th finest edge on. This thing does the same in fifteen seconds. No brainer then to know which I’ll be using in future. Anyone wanna buy some oil stones?
