Handy. I bought this for my parents who are elderly and have mobility problems. It sits in their lounge and carers top it up with drinks and small snack items. It has really supported my dad’s dementia as he can find things easily but struggles with the big fridge in the kitchen. They are aware of its noise (even on night mode) so I have located it a little distance from their seats. I don’t think this would be a problem for most people but my parents do not have any background noise in the house such as a radio or TV.

On normal mode it seems to have lots of cooling power. Even works well on the night (quiet) mode. And it is quiet, it’s at the end of the bed and I only really hear it click off.
It seems well made. (Time will tell)
If I were to find a fault, I’d say it needs more insulation as the cold can be felt on the outside walls of the fridge.
For that reason I have it at 8 degrees, not five to save power.

When I first ordered it, I unfortunately received a faulty one (rattling at the back from the fan possibly touching something), about to send it back, cause… when the new one came, it sounded perfect! I am so relieved and so happy and excited to finally have a minifridge, it’s so cute!
The noise is a bit of a thing I guess on normal mode, but on Eco it’s absolutely fine, considering autumn is coming, I am not too bothered by the cooling levels.
It’s the perfect size for my rather large (Sneak) bottle, and the couple of snacks and sandwich I need in there. Can’t wait to use it! Definitely recommend this size.
Update: still loving it, possibly the best purchase of the year! If you have concerns or second thoughts… just buy it. I love this thing so much I keep telling my friends about how awesome it is 😀
Decent cooling, and fairly quie First item I received didn’t cool at all, I did get a replacement which worked decent. Temperature is decent, the hotter it is around the area, the warmer it is inside, if your room is fairly cool, the fridge will be cool too. Noise is also nothing to lose sleep over, fairly quiet. Overall it’s a good product. If you have any issues don’t hesitate to contact them, 10/10 customer service
Brillia I’m really impressed with this little fridge, switch it on in the morning for about an hour I don’t find it too noisy, then switch to Eco for the rest of the day, at night it gets switched off leaving a couple of cans of drink in the fridge over night everything’s still cold in the morning. I live on a boat with two leisure batteries being topped up by two solar panels so power’s not an issue, but I think it could be in a car without running the engine
Maintained a low temperature After we achieved a low temperature running on non eco mode for about 2 hours which was a little noisy, we switched to eco mode which was very quiet. After six hours, the temperature was still quite low
6 degrees which is a safe temperature for food & good news for me as my injections have to be kept below 9 degrees. We are looking forward to trying it out properly on a trip next month.
We have not yet tried It with hot food.
Perfect for chilling small items This is a pretty good mini fridge. Seems quite decent quality, it looks quite smart with a glass panel finish on the front door. I have an existing mini fridge from the same brand but even though this fridge is only 1 litre bigger in capacity, the physical size is much bigger, almost double in size. Fits up to 12 x 330ml cans or 8 bottles of beer – all the internal shelves and door pockets have to be removed. Perfect for use in the man cave!
The unit is light and portable, there is a folding carry handle on the top. There is a removable dividing shelf inside. Operational noise level is very low and hardly noticeable. The side vents get quite warm though.
Chills quite nicely and has a warm function too which would be useful for keeping food warm or maybe even proving dough. There are 2 power inputs, AC for mains and DC by way of car lighter plug making this ideal for use while road travelling or camping (if you have a portable DC power supply.
It’s an acceptable mini fridge, not something I would have running all the time, maybe just use occasionally. Was 69.99 (at the time of ordering) which I think is a little high for an occasional use item, the internal capacity size is also really quite small. It has a use but isn’t brilliant.
Good size mini fridge, very quiet on eco mode This is a good price for a 10 litre mini fridge. You can certain fit a lot in, and it’s big enough for 1 litre bottles or 2 pint bottles of milk with the inner shelves removed. There are two modes – regular and eco.
You need to have it on regular to reach a cold enough temperature, but you can then switch it to eco to maintain the temperature and cut down on noise (it’s virtually silent on eco mode) and energy use. Non-eco mode would be too noisy if you’re keeping the fridge in a bedroom. There’s also a warm mode for keeping food warm.
Even when full the fridge is light to easily carry around using the handle on top and it comes with a lead for connecting to car batteries as well as a conventional 3 pin UK plug.
Great small fridge
Haven’t stared temp control as don’t think it has one and haven’t used for travelling.
Bought for my daughter to have in her room at Uni.
So far so good – cools snack foods inc veg/fruit and liquids.
Good size as a lot we looked at were tiny.
This is my 3rd Astro AI fridge.
I own 2 (1 is a replacement)
This one I got recently is much louder that my replacement or the original before that and the manufacturing quality is very different (bad).
The handle is shaky and not sturdy compared to my others and around the door and handle these rough plastic edges that look dirty.
I think that they are mass producing these fridges now so the quality control has dropped significantly.
The fan is annoying loud even on ECO mode and a side by side comparison with my existing Astro AI fridge confirms the newer much is way louder.
Good value for money, but beware that you may get something that isn’t built great.
