do think she was originally overpriced, however i got her on sale so i won’t complain, she’s so pretty!! i love her so much, definitely buy if you love barbie
This is the live action Margot Robbie Barbie doll in the ” perfect day” pink gingham dress. One thing I instantly knew this doll needed was a petticoat underneath the dress as this is in the style of the 1950’s, which had snatched waists with voluptuous skirts. She also has white bloomer underwear on underneath that is fabric so that’s……nice? The dress is regular polyester fabric with printed pink gingham & a attached belt with buckle. It’s nice to see some actual sewn fashions that used a pattern but not at such an extortionate price
The hair is decent quality, I believe polypropylene but may be serain & the hairstyle is cute, it definitely needs a wash & the bangs are not accurate to the film.
She’s fully articulated with the deluxe Barbie doll articulation ( this is like the Barbie extra dolls) & has a unique face sculpt made in Margo Robbie’s image
Welcome to the new era of Barbie feet!! She FINALLY has pink pumps & that means heeled feet!! She has some basic pink heels with a heart on the front.
Overall the doll is very minimalistic in desighn but definitely a nice doll HOWEVER that does NOT mean she is worth 45 for her as she doesn’t have expensive fabrics, premium hair or a stand & second outfit.
If they made her so expensive because they have the likeness of Margo they needs to pay then it still shouldn’t be that much. When they made the little mermaid dolls for live action they had to pay Diseny for the license AND halle bailey, so the deluxe Ariel doll was still somewhat justified even if quality wasn’t up to scratch but 50 for this? She’s just a resculpted Barbie extra
Edit: I bought a second one to put her into a Chanel inspired outfit which I’m really happy with. The hairstyle I put her into was a high pony which really looks good on her. Overall lovely dolls
