Definitely comparable with ear buds costing in the region of 70-80. These are excellent performance to value price ratio. Strong full bodied sound. Maybe slightly boomy in the lower mids, but make them well balanced for travel on public transport and noisey street environments. There are more neutral and natural sounding ear buds if you lean more towards acoustic music genres, but I would say that only matters or is relevant if you listen at home or in a quiet environment where the slightly more hyped up sound of these buds is unnecessary in order to get your attention!
Nice and comfy
Very nice and discreet when wearing, I particularly like the black colour as it blends in with clothes much better than white, unless you are wearing white of course. I found that the sound quality when used on the phone, was good, and volume control worked fine. Unfortunately the volume control does not work when used on my laptop, but it’s not a problem of course, as I can change volume on the laptop anyway. All in all, a good buy and worth 4 stars.

hese are about my 4 pair of these i love the bass the way they fit snuggly in my ears the mic so i can talk with out having to hold the phone. I know we are all on wireless headphones right now but i’m old school and I’m hanging on to the wired headphones as long as possible
I got new earphones since I have a record of breaking them. They are really durable, I use them everyday. The audio is amazing and is definitely worth the money. The pouch it comes with is also useful, as it stops it from tangling around other items. Overall a really good buy
For the price, an excellent buy
Slightly largr than previous sets I’ve had but sound quality and comfort are excellent. The wire seems to have a life of its own at times, but not really a problem. I’m very satisfied that they perform as expected.
Great sound and fi
For the money, I don’t think you could ask for a better sounding pair of buds.
The only reason for my missing 1 Star is that they don’t isolate the outside sounds as well as some pairs I have owned, the cable is very thin and tangles very easily (but this is true of nearly all wired buds). The mic is very usable but not as good as JBL’s mic (which are amazing)
But comfort and sound are very good. If they last more the year (of every day use) I would definitely buy again.
Good sound and work with my phone
I’ve had a problem finding headphones that work with my Moto G82 phone. At last I’ve found these which not only work perfectly but are also great sound quality and comfortable to wear. They provide good sound isolation for the headphones and the microphone seems to provide good quality sound too. They come well packaged with clear instructions, should you need them. I am very pleased with the purchase so far and would recommend them for quality and value.
These are great headphones. Sound quality is superb, particularly for acoustic music – I’ve always had to use Poweramp equaliser to get decent sound in the past; not with these. I’ve walked miles with them and had no problems with cable rubbing noise and they fit comfortably without falling out.
Rubberised cable means minimal tangling.
The control is great – volume up and down, double-click to skip a track and the mic picks up Google Assistant commands perfectly.
AMENDMENT: Everything above is true, but sadly after a couple of weeks, the rubber gromit that controls volume fell out whilst walking. No way can I find it. Controls now inoperable.
AMENDMENT II: I contacted Betron and they have sent me a new set. Happy days!
These are suprisingly good for the price. Sound quality is great, if the silicone ends/tips are properly fitted and inserted. There are 3 sizes; I have pretty small and sensitive ears and the smallest size suits me well. The tips aren’t very smooth so I was worried they’d irritate my ears, but they haven’t. They’re also easy to take off, disinfect/wash and put back on. Bass is pretty accurate, not too little and not too much. The earphones handle metal/rock etc. suprisingly well! The packaging was very protective (flat cardboard box with foam insert) and included a small carry bag. The cable is thick, and they’re the only earphones so far at this price point that have lasted me this long. They’re possible to sleep with on the side if you have a soft pillow (but your milleage might vary). The white & rose gold colour makes them look much more expensive than they were. Excellent product, I hope the white colour goes back in stock!
Actually quite impressed with these!
For years I have always purchased bulky ‘over the ear’ headphones with varying degrees of success and satisfaction but recently I decided to try these ‘isolating earbud’ style albeit with a tad reservation as to comfort and performance. Have to say that once I got used to that ‘snug’ in ear feeling, I was really impressed with the sound quality for such a small piece of kit, the crisp clear sound and the fact I could actually enjoy my music through these.
My one criticism however, and a frustrating one, is that the volume/track control is hard to negotiate by touch and to select volume adjustments and track selection. I appreciate the need for smooth uncluttered lines but this is just too small to use seamlessly and I seem to spend too much time identifying ( for example by touch only ) the right control. I now mostly adjust volume/track selection directly on my iPod which can be laborious and defeats the object of in-line controls.
Honest review, very very pleased but mic isnt good for gaming
Ive tested many headphone brands like sony, beats, skullcandy, jvc and sennheiser and these are just as good. The bass is ridiculously good on these, better than any ive ever used hands down. i bass boosted a bass bossted track ( darude sandstorm candylan og remix bass boost) and literally the earphones are sub woofers. howver saying that as a grime/ hip hop and edm fan, the higher vocal notes arent as clear as Im used to e.g. rap freestyles. At first it took a little whie to warm to the slightly reduced clarity of high notes having used top notch beats and sennheiser for the past few years but for the price its worth it. there may be bass complaints for the product but if u use like an mp3 equaliser for bass boosting its phenomenal. I tend to use them for gaming, music , working out and runs. at least 3 hours a day and they are ridiculously comfortbale as well. I have so much more to talk about, even their customer service is awesome because my 1st pair came damaged and they sorted a replacment free of charge.
the huge downfall is the mic quality, definietly not servicable when gaming with a friend, gaming sound quality is amazing but betron u need to improve the mic plz
also they dont leak minimal sound which was a huge bonus too. Obviously in a very quiet environment at full blast you can hear sound leak but on the bus its probably unnoticable at full blas
Good headphones for the price
I wasn’t sure what my expectations were when I ordered these. I wouldn’t outwardly say that I’m an audiophile, but I do enjoy clean sound and my daily drivers are a pair Sony 1000XM3 (OK, that says it all…). Fair to say, ordering a pair of 10 earphones, I’d have to lower the bar somewhat from the Sonys. They are intended to replace a pair of cheap Sony earphones that I use for a terrible habit I have of sleeping with them in when I’m in a room with other people who are snoring (mostly when travelling). I can’t sleep otherwise. Therefore, I was placing high importance on the profile of the earphones, as many with a larger footprint are uncomfortable for sleeping. Many friends of mine have sung Betron’s praises, so I took a stab in the dark and went for these.
When they arrived, I was initially impressed with the packaging. A magnetic box, a plastic cover for the 3.5mm jack – touches that are usually reserved for a more premium pricepoint. The profile is very flat compared to many headphones, and there was very little pressure pushing the earphone into my ear when I lay on a pillow. Part of the earphone construction is metal and the cable doesn’t feel cheap, and I was thinking that if the sound quality matched the build quality, I would begin to question my mental sanity for previously paying 330 for another pair of headphones.
Unfortunately… the sound quality is disappointing. The headphones are listed as being “bass driven”. That, I can definitely confirm. Let’s be clear, my go-to genre is drum and bass, so I do like a good thump in my music. However, the first time I put these on, the bass on these completely drowned out the mids and highs. It wasn’t even nice bass either, it was very muddy. I let them run in a little more, which has helped to rein the bass in a little bit. But as the mids and highs come more to the forefront, I understand why the bass is so dominant. There are hardly any highs, fullstop. And the mids are rather muffled.
Then again, I didn’t buy these for their sound quality. And I hardly see myself complaining too much as long as they’re covering the residual night time sounds.
Update on my review, on submitting feedback to Betron they promptly despatched another set, great customer service the replacement set just the same but I did another comparison with my JVC set to give further feedback and then thought Doh ! Let’s try taking the rubber covers off the JVC and put them on the Betron as they fit my ears really well. Revelation the Betrons exploded into life massive difference probably 10% more bass than the JVC much much better sound so I can now thoroughly recommend these but experiment with the covers.
Delivery was pretty good considering it was during the latter days leading up to Xmas, the packaging was indicative of a quality product so far so good so on to the real test.
First impressions awful, no bass very tinny sound. O.K let’s not make a knee jerk reaction being used to earbuds the fit is crucial so let’s try getting a snug fit. They don’t go very far into the ear so the choice of buds is key. The ‘ phones come with 3 different sizes the ones on my set were large sized and I have tons of different covers having ordered a set of bretton spares plus the ones that come packaged. Now here’s the thing the drivers are oval shaped which means some of them don’t fit, frustrating !
Tried a few different sizes and material, foam, silicone soft and firm still not getting any bass. These are going back absolute rubbish but I persevered and found a set that gave a better seal and at last bass not profound bass as per a lot of reviews (from which I headed my purchase) but an acceptable sound so for the money I have decided to keep them. These are not as good as my previous JVC xtreme explosive earbuds but they are ok at the price point around 12 if I had purchased at the ‘original’ selling price approx 50 then they would have been returned.
To sum up buy them as a back up or if you want something ok to listen on your commute. Take the 5* reviews with a pinch of salt or maybe they might fit you better and blow you away ..Doubt it though. Personally I would tell you to avoid and go with the JVC
I was looking for a good set of reasonable priced earphones as my current ones died, I found these betron earphones which i never heard of, from the pictures they looked good and from the spec side of things they seem to be up there, As I’m a part time music producer i know its not about the price. For example go buy a pair of beats at retail price 150 plus for what they say a good set. all you get is a lot of low end freqencies that detroy any mid or high freqencies there is no clarity. A good set of earphones will have a good freq responce from 15hz to 25khz or more 15hz been a low freq and 25 been a high freq.
Anyway I brought these betron i wasn’t expecting to much. they came next day, i got to say the packaging was really good they gave some thought into packaging, they also come with a small earphone bag with two lots of ear buds one set transparent and the other a solid color. you dont get that with a lot of top brand earphones. but most importantly how did they sound well what can i say they are extremly loud depending on the phone mp3 player etc i say louder than the top brands, the bass is really good this doesnt not kill other freqencies which is a good thing the mid and high are really good which gives these earphones a good balance. for sound quality they are with the top boys of the headphone world. the over all quality of the product is bang on the build quality is amazing (british engineered), they are crafted beautifully in metal ,they also sit comfortable in your ears with out falling out, I didn’t have to change to small or larger buds. I think these are the best budget earphones money can buy at the moment I’m confident you won’t be disappointed with these, i would definitly buy these again.
**ONE YEAR UPDATE**
I’ve now had these headphones for over a year using and abusing them daily, and regrettably, they have finally started to break down. The small piece of rubber on the cable next to the right earphone has broken away, leading to the right earphone being much quieter than the left. Everything else is faultless, and I will be buying another pair once these ones give up completely.
The only thing I would change is replacing the 3.5mm jack with one that is right angled, to make it fit in a pocket better.
After one year of use I’m very happy, I have bought earphones for twice this price that have lasted not even a quarter of this time.
**Orginal Review**
I’ve been using these headphones for a week now, and I have to say, at this price point, you can’t ask for much more. The headphones arrived the day after I ordered them, in a nice cardboard box with a magnetic closure. The headphones themselves are encased in foam, with a nice faux leather pouch containing four sets of additional ear buds – two sets of foam, and two sets of normal rubber ones – each in varying sizes, to ensure a perfect fit.
The headphones themselves are great, I’m not a professional by any means, but I have owned and tried some high end headphones, and for the price and the size, you cant beat these. The sound is clear and crisp, the bass is solid but not overwhelming, and the mids and highs are still plentiful. The connections, mic/pause/volume buttons, and splitter are all made of metal which gives me confidence that they will last a long time. The cable itself is very nice, there seems to be a casing around the actual cables, which does well to reduce the cable noise when they touch your coat or something else. I’m using these primarily with an Xperia Z5 and the volume up/down buttons, pause/play buttons, all work perfectly, which cannot be said for all headphones I have tried with this device.
Perhaps my favourite feature is the design of the earbuds themselves. After you put them in your ears, the drivers sit very flat, almost flush, to the side of your head. This makes them very comfortable to use when lying down, opposed to other types of in ear headphones which tend to want to push further into your ear when you lie down on them. as well as making them quite stylish in my opinion.
I really like these earphones, I am pretty picky with size given that my ears are small.
They are weirdly different but in a good way.
Pros:
* The box they come in is really nice, packaging is awesome.
* Quality of build is notable.
* Quality of sound is really good
* Quality of noise isolation is great, I don’t really hear external sounds.
Cons:
* Putting them on correctly is not as intuitive. Be careful to place them on the correct ears and in a way they are comfortable. I am still experimenting to see which is the most comfortable way. I must highlight though that when they are well placed they are comfortable enough. I changed the buds to the smallest size though so they could actually fit more comfortably. They go partially in-ear in a way
* Does feel that my ears hurt a bit after prolonged use. Maybe I am not wearing them correctly hmm
* They are not huge in my ears which are quite small. I have had problems with headphones before.
Really have to keep using them to see in the end if I still like them. Sometimes in use you notice annoyances.
Also, i’m kindda bummed out that I bought these and suddenly the price dropped. Amazon doesn’t do a price match refund and its only been a few days. Might have to return them and buy new ones with the new price… this seems such an ineffectively slow process to achieve the same result… but oh well 🙁 this is more a complain on Amazon really
