Seasoning Your Brand New TUDIMO Mortar & Pestle Set
- Pour warm water, without any soap, into the inside of the mortar and scrub with a stiff brush.
- Place a handful of dry white rice with a maximum of 2 teaspoons of warm water.
- Grind this mixture for about 5 minutes, until the rice turns into a paste, and then rinse and pat dry.
- Repeat the previous step two or three times, until the rice paste no longer turns a grey colour.
Scrub the mortar again with warm water (no soap) and a stiff brush. Use a towel and pat the product dry, and then let it air dry until it’s completely dry.
Now you are good to go!

My husband is delighted with this product. He said it is so easy and comfortable to use. He has no problems with this at all. I know it is made from granite which is heavy, but everytime I move it in the kitchen the weight still suprises me. It is bery heavy snd sturdy.
Really nice mortar & pestle. Arrived on time. All intact with no cracks. The black shine it has looks great. Ideal size for cooking for 2-3 people.
My only issue is that it could have had a slightly higher quality finish (although when working with stone it’s common to get a few dimples here & there).
I am delighted with this product, the weight is good. However it is 500 grams lighter than my previous one. A little more weight would add stability other than that the design is not only pleasing but ergonomic.
Really love, quality granite. Nice and heavy and just the right size to fit a decent amount of ingredients but not take up a huge amount of space on the work surface. Looks very stylish. Easy to season and comfortable to use.
