Seasoning Your Brand New TUDIMO Mortar & Pestle Set
- Pour warm water, without any soap, into the inside of the mortar and scrub with a stiff brush.
- Place a handful of dry white rice with a maximum of 2 teaspoons of warm water.
- Grind this mixture for about 5 minutes, until the rice turns into a paste, and then rinse and pat dry.
- Repeat the previous step two or three times, until the rice paste no longer turns a grey colour.
Scrub the mortar again with warm water (no soap) and a stiff brush. Use a towel and pat the product dry, and then let it air dry until it’s completely dry.
Now you are good to go!

Best product we've found
My husband is delighted with this product. He said it is so easy and comfortable to use. He has no problems with this at all. I know it is made from granite which is heavy, but everytime I move it in the kitchen the weight still suprises me. It is bery heavy snd sturdy.

Very pleased to have brought the Pestle. Delivered with care and well packaged. Heavy and sturdy very, when grounding or curshing seeds It had so much fun to taste. I recommend.
Not too expensive for the price
Very satisfied with service despite a supply problem.
We had a problem that the ordered item was incomplete, the pestle was missing. When we got to the supplier we got excellent service to resolve the problem. The product was a birthday present for our son who is a professional chef, he is very happy with the product.

Really nice mortar & pestle. Arrived on time. All intact with no cracks. The black shine it has looks great. Ideal size for cooking for 2-3 people.
My only issue is that it could have had a slightly higher quality finish (although when working with stone it’s common to get a few dimples here & there).
Useful item
I am delighted with this product, the weight is good. However it is 500 grams lighter than my previous one. A little more weight would add stability other than that the design is not only pleasing but ergonomic.

Do not bother with any other! This one is fantastic! Made very well. Heavy as! Fits on a windowsill or in a small corner, but large enough to mix what you need to! Love it xx
Great quality and perfect size.
Really love, quality granite. Nice and heavy and just the right size to fit a decent amount of ingredients but not take up a huge amount of space on the work surface. Looks very stylish. Easy to season and comfortable to use.

Looks amazing and great quality as well. It’s been a struggle finding a decent size of a granite pestle and mojar. All the one we found in store were way too big and/or questionable quality. Happy with the purchase especially the way it is packed makes it so great for gifting as well!!

Bought as a gift which was very well received. Set is good quality and has a very nice weight to it. Tips for seasoning etc were sent as well which was very helpful!
Excellent buy. The initial conditioning of the mortar was hard work but well worth it and once done it was easy and incredibly fast even with large chunks e.g. star anise.
This is a fantastic set. It works much easier than I expected it to. Only negative thing I can say, it is heavy. Don’t let it put you off on purchasing it as it is far better than so many other sets I heave tried.
This was bought as a gift and we chose it because it looked “manly” . The box was bigger than expected and very heavy and when we opened it it’s beautiful. the downloadable guides were great too as it tells you how to look after it. We gave it with a curry cookbook so was a well received gift. Would recommend
