Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Usersgood connections to my sony tv, and i can plug in usb for power and 3.5mm jack for audio.

this device works well, but be aware, bluetooth has lag, so lip sync of audio with the tv picture will be noticeably out. this may or may not bother you.

Sick of tripping over wires to a tv without Bluetooth I gave this a try. Struggled to get it to work but managed eventually. Works a treat, more than happy with it.

I have a Majority CDDAB system which also plays music via Bluetooth from my phone. I wanted though to use my wireless Bluetooth headphones to listen to CDs played on the system. So I bought this Bluetooth transmitter for 10. Even an old technophobe like me could work out how to use it immediately, and the sound I get from CD player to headphones from this kit is fantastic. It has a rechargable battery, you plug it into the headphone socket, and link ot to the headphones. Piece of cake. Highly recommended.

Used for my Bush tv to listen through my earphones. Very easy setup. Battery life from fully charged lasts about 8 hours. Sound is good. There is a slight delay which is a bit off putting. Thats what I get for buying a cheaper TV without Bluetooth!!!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought to plug into the onboard entertainment during flights abroad. Allowed me to us my wireless Bluetooth earbuds and watch a movie with the freedom to move around and with the added advantage of my earbud’s noise cancelling.

I cant really gauge the Sound quality as aircraft entertainment is probably not the best source to test with. I have not pushed the battery to its limits either.

Plastic feels cheap, but it is cheap, so kind of to be expected.

Output sound levels low, so need car audio turned up very high in comparison with radio, however previous one (different manufacturer) was same. Previous one only lasted 8 months so hopefully this one better.

Pairing up is a bit fiddly. You don’t need your phone for paring up for Tv. I think that was the most confusing thing. Seems to be a slight lag as well

Lost a star due to my neighbours jamming it so I sent it back. Otherwise it was perfect if it wasn’t for the illegal jammer used on it. Be careful

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersWell it works, so that’s a good start. I am using it with a pair of cheap wireless headphones. I tried it first on the audio output from my TV. It has both a 3.5mm socket, and a USB port, so I thought I can just connect both and then never have to worry about recharging it. You can do this, but when connected to the USB port there is a noticeable audible hum on the headphones, that is not present when the USB port is unconnected. There is a small amount of latency on the audio. When watching TV you can just about tell that the audio is a little bit out of sync with the video, but you really have to look for it. Also tried it on the audio output from my computer monitor. Also works well. There is a small amount of hum, but this isn’t noticeable once you are actually listening to audio. The build quality isn’t great, but it doesn’t really have to be. So, for the money, I am satisfied.

Golden Review Award: 15 From Our UsersI was hoping to connect this to the old TV Headphone jack and transmit to a wireless speaker. It worked, but the delay was insurmountable. Systems tend to allow a delay of the audio processing, but not of the picture, so with the sound lagging the picture by over a second, it doesn’t work for this use case. For converting an old HiFi into a wireless speaker using the receiver function, it works well but if that’s what you need it for I’d recommend finding a Chromecast Audio instead (second hand on a different site) so that notifications and phone calls don’t interrupt your enjoyment of the music.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI purchased this Bluetooth dongle to allow me to stream podcasts to my car stereo. My head unit doesn’t support audio streaming over Bluetooth, only phone calls are supported.

    Positives.

    1. The first thing to say is this unit accomplished this perfectly and I’m now able to stream music and audio from my phone to my car stereo over Bluetooth with this unit in receiver mode.
    2. The unit itself is easy to configure so I was up and running in minutes.

    Negatives

    3. The unit itself feels really cheap and plasticky.
    4. It doesn’t switch itself on when power is restored to its USB port as the car ignition is switched on.

I have this in my glove compartment and it’s permanently plugged into a USB charging port so I have no use for the battery function of this device and I haven’t tested the battery functionality.
The dongle also has the ability to be used as a Bluetooth transmitter. As yet I haven’t tested this feature.

In summary, I can’t really fault the unit at this price point, it does exactly what I wanted it to and it accomplished this well.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersI purchased this item because it appeared to be the simplest way to avoid cables from my TV to my standard headphones. I suffer with partial deafness and like to watch TV at night, when the rest of the house is busy on other things or sleeping. This avoids watching normally with the volume too high. I found that being attached by cable to the TV was tiresome, always worrying that someone would trip on the cable. I can now go to the kitchen to make coffee, pop to the loo, fetch something from upstairs and still hear the dialogue of the programme.

However, I had to seek Q&A help from the Amazon site, when it wouldn’t originally work and my first attempt failed. I’d charged the TX/RX Bluetooth Transmitter and plugged into the TV audio (headphones) socket, but it would not work with my first choice of Wireless Headphones that have a nice high volume setting that suits my level of deafness. On Advice, I tried my alternative Wireless headphones (which unfortunately have a Max Volume limit setting, so I’m not able to have the volume quite as high as I would like) and it works!!! So, at least, I’m not physically attached to the TV by headphone cables and I can get around the house without missing a thing. Perfect…. and received well-packaged & in a delivery time of 24hrs – Excellent.

Golden Review Award: 14 From Our UsersIt took a few minutes to connect to my headphones, since there is no app so I had to operate based on flashing lights, but really it was simple. Then the sound was great.

There is a lag. Its not huge, but if you are watching a film in your native language it will be noticeable. This is why I give it four stars. It might not work out for you if these things bother you.

My TV (a hisense, pretty basic smart TV 2017 model) however has the option of introducing a lag between the image and the sound to correct for this and I found adding a very small amount of lag fixed it. Now its great.

If you are watching sports the lag won’t matter at all. But for spoken word why not check if your TV can adjust for it? Given that mine does, I think there is a good chance yours will as well.
