I’ve plenty of cutters for copper / aluminium wire, but none of them can cope with steel, never mind spring steel. I used these to chop a double mattress spring into four so that it would fit in the car. These went through it easily. Inspecting the jaws afterwards with a loupe I couldn’t see a mark.
Very tough and hard wearing. Recommend.
All I wanted to do was cut through a steel washing line! but nothing in the house made any impact.
These cutters are well built, have comfortable handles, small enough to fit in my tool box, not too expensive BUT best of all they cut through the washing line with ease & no effort at all on my part.

Was a bit dubious after reading some negative review but took a chance and glad I did. First cut on chain link fencing was hard. Second cut was a lot easier once I got used to needing a bit of support from floor to apply more pressure. Great product at great price
WORKED REALLY WELL, I WAS WORRIED ABOUT SPENDING LESS AND THEN IT NOT WORKING. THE ‘WIRE CUTTER’ ON THE PLIERS I HAD HADN’T WORK. USED THIS TO CUT THICK NET CURTAIN LEADS/WIRE AND IT WAS EASY, YOU GET A GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT I BELIEVE THESE WILL LAST A VERY LONG TIME.
