The best shredder I have ever had.
Light, sturdy and works really well for at home use. The handle is good but it is only fixed to the main shredder. The bin underneath is easy to lift. I have arthritis in my hands so anything heavy hurts or I can’t grip. Would definitely recommend this shredde

    Nice shredder. Very loud
Good little shredder. I do like the added function of an always on feature so you can keep feeding it the smaller pieces that don’t always trigger the rotors. It is a very loud shredder though. Also keeping it always on with detection has a standby light which I’d rather not use so it’s always off until I need to use it.

To say its cheap, it deffo does the job. Good little shredder, had it about a month and only really use it to shred the bills and so far its does good. Its quite a noisey little thing but not as loud as expected. I would recommend for those people who are low on cash but are security worried like myself

4.0 out of 5 stars Great shredder but can't handle large amounts of paperwork
I purchased this shredder to get through a backlog of years of paperwork. It is a solid build with very clear instructions. It was fantastic at shredding however it did not last long before it overheated. And just in case you are wondering I did not exceed the suggested limit of sheets or GSM. So my suggestion is that if you need this for the odd bit of shredding, it’s excellent, but for any considerable amount of paperwork, you may get frustrated by it overheating.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works as described
Appears to work as well as previous Rexel shredder which lasted more than 8 years. Its price is now too expensive as it has doubled since I bought it from Amazon so I chose a cheaper Amazon recommendation. Time will tell if the Bonsaii lasts as long. My usage is small, perhaps up to 50 pages a week. Found 4 high quality pages a better limit than suggested 8 which may be OK for thinnest paper.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bonsaii shreds well
This Bonsaii shredder is something of a little gem! The overall size of the ‘bin’ and removable shredder has a footprint similar to a waste paper bin and fits nicely under a desk or even o desktop as i found out accidetally. The shredder is actually the type that some would call ‘cross-cut’ in that it cuts both horizontally as well as vertically. The cut pieces are tiny! There is a viewing panel in one side of the bin that proves very useful for monitoring bin fill level.

I have used the shredder to shred reciepts, old cheque books [including stubs], photo paper [damaged prints], different ‘weights’ and sizes of paper up to A4 and larger sized paper or card that I rip into smaller sizes before shredding. Some papers had staples and the shredder easily handled these – suppose it would be best to remove them if possible though. Credit cards are very well handled by this shredder and I have shredded some CD/DVD disks that where not needed – use caution if you do this though just in case disk splits and pieces ‘fly’ out [non that I shredded did this].

All in all this shredder is a very good fit to the home office environment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value cross shredde
Only recently started using and so the proof will be in a while still to test the longevity of this shredder. Previous experience with other brands is that they dont last long and “tire” quickly. Lets see but so far its doing what it is supposed to do.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works well enough but seems to struggle
It shreds single pages fine but seems to struggle unnecessarily if 2 pages are shredded together. The shreds are nice and small and the bin is quite big, the shreds seem to build up quite quickly inside the bin and get dragged back inside the machine, causing it to struggle even more. The window in the front may look half full but the pile inside is almost touching the rollers again, needs knocking down often. There is a handle on top to remove the shredder from the bin but no handle to pick the shredder and bin up at the same time, makes it awkward to move about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelle
This shredder is great for all uses. I got this so I can shred old documents or letters that have our address on and it sits under my desk perfectly. Easy to use and has good power too, can take quite a bit of paper at a time and has a reverse setting incase you get anything jammed. I also like that it has a handle and is easy to empty. 10/10 Recommend.

    Very Effective Shredde
Good value and definitely does the job, paper is reduced to tiny pieces. It is noisier than our last shredder but it’s only on for a few pages at a time so it’s not a problem. The handle is good to lift away the shredder when you need to empty the collection box.

5.0 out of 5 stars Shred Head
My father blew up his old shredder by overusing it so I got this one for him as a replacement and so far (fingers crossed) he’s not blown it up yet. It’s easy for him to use and considering he’s 85 that’s saying something. It’s not too noisy and does the job well. When he’s finished with it it slides under the desk neatly and out of the way. The bin seems to fill up quickly but that’s mainly because he stores all the things he want shredding and then does the lot in one go making a mountain of shredded paper. I would recommend this shredder, it’s a good one.

    ### **Bonsaii Paper Shredder for Home Use**

    **Key Features:**

    1. **Capacity:** This shredder can handle up to 6 sheets of paper at once. This is ideal for light to moderate use, especially in a home environment.

    2. **Cross Cut Shredding:** The machine utilizes a cross-cut mechanism. This means that paper fed into the machine is shredded into tiny, confetti-like pieces, offering a higher level of security than a strip-cut shredder. Cross-cut shredded documents are harder to reconstruct, ensuring your sensitive documents remain confidential.

    3. **Versatility:** Aside from paper, it is capable of shredding credit cards, which is beneficial for those who wish to discard old or expired cards securely. Additionally, it can handle staples, saving you the time and effort it would take to remove them from your documents.

    **Review:**

The Bonsaii Paper Shredder is an excellent choice for households that need to shred documents occasionally. The 6-sheet capacity is suitable for light tasks like discarding old bills, bank statements, or junk mail. Its ability to shred credit cards and process stapled papers without jams is a convenient feature.

However, for those who have large volumes of paper to shred regularly, they might want to consider a shredder with a higher sheet capacity. Regularly overloading this shredder might reduce its lifespan.

    **Pros:**
    – Compact size suitable for home use.
    – Cross-cutting provides added security.
    – Can handle credit cards and staples.

    **Cons:**
    – Not suitable for heavy-duty shredding tasks.
    – 6-sheet capacity might be limiting for some users.

Overall, the Bonsaii Paper Shredder is a reliable choice for homeowners who need a basic shredder for occasional tasks. If used within its capacity, it should serve you well for a long time. Always remember to oil and maintain the blades regularly for optimal performance.

4.0 out of 5 stars It works well enough.
It’s never going to be fit for the office due to such a short run time(3 minutes) but for the odd few letters at home it’s goid enough. I only sgred single sheets and it works fine. I’ve tried 4 sheets and you can tell the difference with the motor sound so I’m sticking with single sheets for now. I still havnt tried the credit card function. It’s neat enough to hide away in a cupboard and the little window on the collector box saves having to lift the top off to check if it’s full. Overall not bad for the money.

This is my first ever shredder. It’s simple and easy enough to use! But I don’t know why the description says “6 Sheet”, as it really seems to struggle with anything more than 1 single A4 page. I was worried when I put 2 pages in, and certainly thought it would break with 4 pages and I didn’t try 6.
Maybe it’s down to how thick the pages are. I thought, “Oh no, I’ll end up breaking it the first day i use it.”

I wouldn’t even try a credit card or anything thicker than regular printer paper!

Did I misread the item description? I’d say it would be fine if all you want to do is shred a bank statement, and in that case it’s worth the money.

    Shredder gives value for money
Purchased this shredder to replace one I purchased from Staples, Loughborough about 20 years ago.
New one is excellent and does what it says on the tin. It will even cross shred old debit/credit cards.
If it lasts half as long as the last one, I will have had my money’s worth.
If you buy this shredder, remember to buy a pack of lubrication/sharpener sheets to go with it. I forgot, but had to order them afterwards.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our Users5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, and excellent suppo
Does what it’s required to do, and does it well – a good “shred” with the cross-cut, is comfortable with 6 or so pages at a time, simple controls and can do a lot without overheating (keeping the pages to about 6, and taking breaks of a few mins helps if doing a lot). What particularly impressed me was their support. I had an issue where getting zero power, and tried everything. Sent email with limited hope, but they were great. Decent response time to emails, and quickly got to the root issue (a safety switch wasn’t engaging). No arguments, very proactive, got a replacement out in 48 hours. So to conclude, I’d not only buy this shredder again but I’d buy from this business again.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our Users5.0 out of 5 stars Quick and Easy to use, helpful company
I found this ideal for me as I don’t have a lot of documents that need to be shredded, but I did have quite a back log that had built up. As you can only use this for a few minute I thought it would tackle my backlog by doing a few minute every day but it was much faster and quicker than I expected and I cleared by backlog in a couple of goes. The instructions did not contain how often you should use the sharpening sheets, but I contacted the company and they replied within hours, so I was very impressed that that. Also as it is quite small it is very easy to store and get out when I want to use it. Have not used it since clearing my backlog, so it is still very new but so far so good.

    Noisy and overheats
    This shredder is fairly loud.
It works for about 10 minutes then overheats. (Light comes on and it stops) you have to wait 40 minutes to allow it to cool before commencing.
OK if you only have small amount of papers to shred at any one-time.
Have only used this on paper.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Users4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not perfec
Overall I’m happy with the shredder, bought to replace a shredder that I’d had for about 15 years. In the description it says it also shreds credit cards. I had a couple of out of date cards that I would have usually cut up with scissors. I decided to use the shredder and it shredded the cards eventually, but struggled. I shredded them one at a time, but it kept jamming and I’d have to reverse it a little bit and then try again. I had to do this 4 or 5 times with each card, so it does shred them just about. And as you can see from the picture it doesn’t always cut the paper as small as the pictures on the page – I was shredding 3 A4 peices at a time so I wasn’t overloading it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Users5.0 out of 5 stars When it's gone, it's gone!
It isn’t the most expensive. It isn’t the best quality of build. It isn’t the fastest and it certainly isn’t the quietest! But, if you want to be confident that no one will ever be able to extract information from your shredded documents? Then this is what you want! The pieces are tiny. Smaller than a one by one lego brick! The paper collection box has a window to keep track of how much is in it. Both the box and the window aren’t the greatest quality of plastic and the window on mine doesn’t fit flush. But in all honesty, who cares. It fits and doesn’t fall off. If it starts to bother me I’ll glue it down. It’s less than 40 for complete peace of mind knowing that what goes in isn’t ever going to be of use to anyone. Only had it for a day so can’t comment on longevity, but it has a guarantee so will just have to see how it goes. The paper feed slot isn’t very wide so limiting to how much you can put in at once. But if this is important to you then simply look for a shredder which takes more in one go. As a plus, it also means that no child will be able to get their fingers in there if this is a concern for you. It accepts credit cards, paper clips and staples. Because of the steady speed and limited paper amount per run I’d say this item is suited more to a household rather than a business. But if these things aren’t priority to you I highly recommend it. If you want more peace of mind than this….. then I recommend you just ‘burn’ your unwanted documents.

It’s ok, it has a 40 min cool down time, so if you have a stack of shredding to do this could be annoying but otherwise it chomps fairly quickly, easy to use, has a reverse in case of any blockage.

Easy and robust in use, as wellas reducing the volume of waste by cross cutting.
This shredder is robust enough to handle a few sheets at a time without overheating or jamming, and is suitable for securely discarding domestic volumes of documents easily and quickly. The carrying handle is comfortable to carry the weight of the mechanism making removal of the waste bin a quick and painless task. The volume of waste is significantly reduced by the cross cutting function, so waste is not only more secure, but it takes longer and more documents to fill the waste bin beneath the shredder unit. The viewing window in the waste bin is large enough so you can see the level of waste and judge more accurately when to empty the bin.

The shredder part is worthy of 5 stars. The collection bin isn’t. The bin is really thin plastic and not very sturdy. I’ve decided to keep it as I like the size of the shreddings.

Okay for a very small amount of paper.
It does say that it is for small amounts of paper, but I found it annoying so just keep it for junk mail with my name and address on it, not worth the money and too fragile.

A bit noisy, but seems to work fine
Noise level makes the unit seem a bit cheap, but it’s not painful. Seems to shred ok, fragments about 6mm wide with cross cut, so probably difficult to reassemble, so reasonably secure. Does the job.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPerformance a little restrictive
The shredder is nice and compact and operating buttons positive. A little noisy in operation but its a shredder so to be expected. Rated for up to 8 sheets but realistically 4 sheets is the most I would use it for. It will shed 6-8 sheets but slows and almost stops and really sounds to struggle. The temperature switch or perhaps a “use” timer stops you using it for a long time. It states 40mins wait but I have not checked the actual time as when it stopped I went off to do something else so it was a couple of hours before I came back to it. Our old shredder (only a strip shredder) would work continuously all day albeit you could only feed 1-2 sheets at a time. Shreddings are crosscut and quite small so security is good. I shredded a couple of old store loyalty cards which it did with no problem. I also tied a CD/DVD and it gobbled it up no problem but whether that would be good for it longer term, I don’t know.
