This replacement blade kit came well-packed and included a new cutting blade and a small packet containing a new securing screw, spring washer and spring washer plate. The Rotak is designed to make it safe and simple to remove and replace the blade, as it has a hole into which you insert your stout screwdriver to ensure that the mower drive cannot turn. You just undo the old locking screw, remove the washer, blade and washer plate, fit the new parts, tighten up and you’re ready to plug in and go again. The latest blade has serrations on the outer ends, presumably to help clear away mowings that build up under the mower. There are several very sharp surfaces so care and stout gloves are advisable. This kit is great and on our lawns these blades last around six years, as they are hardened steel.
Nothing to dislike as it’s one to fit my Bosch lawnmower model which has been discontinued , however, it’s nice to have one that’s already been sharpened & complete with securing bolt & washer. Other alternative makes don’t provide it pre-sharpened nor supply the securing bolt & washe
Hadn’t realised just how blu t the original had become before replacing. Now the motor makes no sounds of being under stress even going through the thickest patches of grass. Clearly should have replaced this years ago!
I can’t actually comment on the durability as I have only just fitted this but it’s genuine Bosch so I expect quality. Certainly makes a difference from the old, slightly knarled blade!
It will probably last me 12 months as I always seem pick a stone then need to grind the chip out. But it is a good way to keep the mower in tip top conditio
As you can see from the attached photos it cuts very well and very pleased with the result but you must make sure that you have removed all the obstacles as it is very sharp and has thin blade and if it hits any stone even a small one it will be damaged!?
Having read other reviews I was apprehensive but, to date, no problems. Cuts great and fitted with no undue pressure on getting the old “nut” off to release the old blade.

arrived quickly, easy to fit and very sharp. my mower feels more balanced now, is less noisy and cuts the grass cleanly rather than chewing it with my old blunt blade that’s been on for a few years. Very pleased.
I purchased this Blade for my Bosch Rotak 40 lawn mower which has a 40cm Blade and a 1700W motor.
I was pleasantly surprised when it came with Bosch packaging.
It fitted very easily with new bolt and washer – the machine has worked very well with the new blade.
I was looking to change my mower but the blade has done the trick, plus a good clean.
Great price and fast delivery. Never underestimate how much damage an old blade does to your lawn and buy a new one each new season to keep the lawn healthy.
I had been resharpening an old blade and there was some ripping of the grass evident after cutting. This seemed to fix that and combined with the plastic Bosch add on to mulch the clippings rather than collect. I know have a much more even bright green lawn and the brown rings and patches have disappeared
I never write reviews. But I had to make an exception for this replacement blade. It is fabulous. Not only cuts cleanly but also gathers 90% of fallen leaves with the grass cuttings. Its like having a leaf gatherer and lawn mower in one. Highly recommended. An exceptional product.
I’m sure I could have shaved with this. Very sharp, however chips easily. I laid a new lawn, no stones etc visible and after first cut there were a couple of minor chips in the blade. However cannot fault its initial sharpness.
