My last Brabantia can opener lasted over 15 years – I’m hoping for the same with this one.
It feels sturdy, it cuts the cans precisely, it’s weighty, compared to others. But it feels comfortable to hold.
It felt a bit pricey buying it but if I get 15 years it’s not too bad.

Brilliant. I’ve had other tin openers that have only lasted days! This one was recommended. Sturdy and very easy and smooth to use. Next to know effort required to open the tin.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI always thought that all can openers were the same, so up to now have persevered with basic supermarket bought ones.
I shouldn’t have been surprised to learn that you do get what you pay for.
This Brabantia opener is so much easier to use, and makes a much neater job of opening all types of tin can.
    I am converted!

I had a Brabantia can opener before that lasted over 10 years. When it eventually broke, I bought a similar looking supermarket can opener. It lasted less than a year. Then bought a Brabantia again. Been using it for a few months now and it works like a dream. Feels solid and opens cans so easily. Only thing that it doesn’t have is a bottle opener, that my previous Brabantia had, but not really an issue.

I have had an electric can opener for 25 years, obviously it eventually stopped working. Unable to replace it like for like I thought I would try a hand held manual opener. After buying several different ones that where useless. I Came upon this one whilst on holiday in self catering accommodation. On returning home I immediately bought one on line. It’s the mechanism that is the thing to look out for. I have found several other branded and off brand examples at a fraction of the price, so look around before you buy. It’s a lot of money just for a name.

Way better than magican which I got so frustrated with, I threw it in the bin. That’s why I bought this one. Deals with all types of can. Grips the edge well, even opened a can of corned beef with 90 degree corners with ease (lost the key). Amazing
