Ya’ll I have been through some can openers. I don’t know if I just don’t realize my own strength or what, but they always seem to break. I was excited to try out this unique design to see if it can hold up to my manly hand strength and so far so good. The little piece that you twist with your fingers that moves the cutting mechanism can easily fold down which makes storing this can opener easier. Because it’s able to fold it doesn’t take up much space and doesn’t get caught on other utensils as easily. So far I really like it and it works great!

Unlike most of the manual can openers on the market this one feels good in your hand, instead of been all hard metal. The magnet actually does catch the lid after you finish cutting the top off of a can, which is a good thing because I hated having to clean up the floor after a tomato paste can lid hit the floor….red splat.

well made can opener at a low price.

I bought this for my mother as she saw it in a magazine. I find it easy to use, but my mother is 75 and has arthritis in her hands and does have a difficult time using. However that is it the products fault, just wanted users to beware.

This is a great can opener. It’s very sturdy and easy to hold. I am left handed, so I struggle to use a regular can opener, but this one is ambidextrous, so I can use it with comfort and ease. It is sharp and does a great job at opening cans of all sizes. Overall, works really well!

I have a Tupperware can opener. A costly tool that never can rust, never needs washing, never can cut you, removes can lids without leaving sharp edges and can be replaced for a lifetime. BUT it is hard to use and hard to figure out how to use. SO, I got this nice sturdy, blue, easy to use, good gripper can opener to sit in the glass utensil jug on the counter so my clients and caregivers have a good quality can opener that they can use without my teaching them. Good price for a lasting and easy use tool. Probably last a lifetime too.

I used a counter top electric can opener for years, but now that we eat far less processed and canned foods, I find I don’t use it often, so decided to switch to a hand opener. This FreshForce can opener is easy to use, and comfortable on the hands. The turning handle is large and easy to turn. The handles are easy to grip because they are wider than the standard size. Overall, I’m very pleased.

I really like this can opener for a few reasons. It lays so flat in the drawer it doesn’t get hung up as you’re opening the drawer. This is achieved by the folding crank handle. It lays flat against the body. I also like the placement of the magnet. Putting it at the top of the head makes it very easy to remove the lid from the can once it’s cut free. It is very easy to open cans with this can opener. The handles are also very comfortable.

Nice can opener, strong and sturdy. Folding turner makes for easy use and less space taken in drawer. The opener wheel does not slip right into place all the time so some care may be needed in aligning opener into the can. Not a big deal. I rate this a four and recommended.

This can opener is pretty simple to use. It works like old fashioned can openers that leave jagged edges around the lid but this one has a magnet at the very top of the opener to pick up the lid. The magnet is weak and you have to apply a little pressure to get the magnet to attach to the lid. The pressure pushes the lid down into the food causing liquids to cover the top of the lid.
The opener snaps onto the can lid easily.
The mechanism you turn to cut the can is thin and folds to lay flat/compact supposedly to keep the opener from getting tangled with other utensils. That’s never been a problem for me since I hang my can opener from a tool rack on my wall.
The handles are made of a plastic that is comfortable to hold and use.

I don’t use can openers that often but I need one occasionally and finding a good one is almost impossible.
I’ve tried the skeleton openers and heavy stainless steel ones and they are hard to use or they tear up not long after purchase. This opener looks and feels pretty sturdy to me compared to the other can openers I’ve purchased lately.
Right now it work’s and I like it.

This is a very sturdy can opener that’s easy to use. The only thing to be aware of is that there’s a metal flap that folds against the arm and which you need to flip up in order to use the opener. I thought it was a neat feature and does make it easier to store in a drawer.

This is a nice chunky can opener.

The handle is soft touch but solid at the same time due to the texture of the plastic. The handle stores flat agains the body when not in use but is large which means you dont need as much pressure to turen the handle and open the can.

The mechanism with the handle is very smooth making opening the cans very easy.

Who would have thought that innovation could still happen with the humble can opener. Well it has. This has a couple of very neat features which I think are great. First of all it is a very effective can opener cutting through metal and detaching the lid easily. Then the neat bit. Who hasn’t had the experience of trying to get the lid out of the contents – you stick a knife under it to lift it and then you have to get your fingers dirty and risk cutting yourself by getting hold of the lid. Well not with this one. It has a nifty magnet built into the lid so you can pick up the floating lid without touching it.

Once you are done the can opener also has another neat trick – the turning knob folds down flat – thus saving space in the kitchen drawer.

It’s not cheap but innovation isn’t free – and I think it is worth the price.

Good job tins are not made of just tin.

This can opener works well. It has good grip, turns well and does the job. The twisting handle can be folded down for store-ability purposes, but the opener is still quite chunky still in the other direction (although this helps with grip in the hand). This is also easy to clean and looks good.

If you have never used one of these sort of can openers the Amazon product page shows very clearly how to do so. Also if you are left handed this appliance works just as well but you use your right hand to start with. It is so easy with a built in magnet to take the lid off. Hand clean only. Nice and sturdy and easy to handle.

I’ve had various can openers in recent years, and although an increasing number of cans are now ring-pull, I do find myself needing to use one from time to time.
This particular opener is a top-opening can opener, not a side – opener. It’s not completely clear, at first, but you position the cutting wheel vertically at the top of the can, not at the side.
What I really liked about this is that it is very easy to turn .
The large, flat ‘turner’ is easy to grip, and cleverly, it folds flat, so that the opener doesn’t take up a lot of room in the kitchen drawer. It didn’t slip, and punctured the can easily, the cog at the side turned the can around nicely.
There are no instructions supplied, but at the top of the can opener is a magnet that lifts the lid. It took me a while to work this out. There is also a small ‘wedge’ at the side of the opener to help with lifting the lid up.
The blue handle looks as if it might contain recycled plastic, but that has to be a good thing. The rounded shape of the handles make them comfortable to hold.
If you are looking for an easy to use opener that is compact, well-made and comfortable to hold, this ticks the boxes. It’s effectively replaced a very good Zyliss opener that stopped ‘biting’ into the top of the tin, after a few years use.

Many people rely on cans/tins and lots of tins don’t have the peel-off tops, still. Campers, boat owners, pensioners particularly use tins and this is the safest, easiest opener I have ever come across. Would be best for children or older people to use. The squeeze handle works brilliantly, it’s very powerful. The magnetic lid lifter is ideal, no chance of cutting yourself with the sharp edge and you drop the lid into the bin. There is, of course, a sharp edge left along the top of the tin to be careful of.

The handle is easy to grip, tactile and reassuringly strong. Hand wash to the opener after use, a doddle, no need to worry about putting it in the dishwasher, only takes a mo. Stow it away flat into a drawer, ready for the next time you want to attack some tuna, chickpeas, soup or beans. All made from top quality durable stainless steel.

It cannot be easier to open tins using a manual Can Opener. I opened a tin for in about 6 seconds. It is very easy to use. In terms of built-quality, it ticks that box as well. With manual Can openers like this, who needs the extra step to plug in an electric can opener into a power outlet?

5.0 out of 5 stars Yep, this one works

The handles are not rubberised and do not have moulded finger grips, yet it sits nicely in the hand when in use. The cutter s work easily, and the magnetic tab holds the lid fort easy disposal. It is a nice flat design, so fits well into out kitchen drawer. Highly recommended.
