For all intents and purposes, this unit is not as described. There’s no sign of this Bluetooth unit actually having Bluetooth. The user guide is useless and doesn’t describe how to put the unit into pairing mode, when scanning for Bluetooth devices it’s nowhere to be found. I have downloaded the app, but it seems the app doesn’t have any features for searchong for and pairing with the device either.

Besides the Bluetooth not working (which is why I paid the extra) this unit is otherwise very good.

An economy wind speed indicator that is comfortably stashed in the drybag after using.

Only a handful of outings so far, batteries have yet to be an issue, readings accurate enough to keep me out of danger.

    Handheld Wind Speed Meter.

A decent quality entry level wind speed detector. I’ve found it easy to use, and the results are pretty accurate too. I agree with some other reviewers regarding powering the device. I much prefer internal reachable batteries, compared with disposable single use batteries. I really like the fact you can mount the device onto a standard tripod.

At the time of writing this review, the price for this digital Anemometer is 29.99.

The anemometer can measure wind speed ranging from 1 to 65 Mph and according to the seller, the accuracy can be within 5%. I use this Anemometer to measure wind speed for my outdoor activities and it can provide relatively good accuracy on the results. Obviously it can be used for other purposes as needed, the measurements are very sensitive based on my experience.

This is a really good quality anemometer.
It is really easy to use and does the job well.
I personally use this to measure the wind speed on different places around the garden.
I am planning to install a wind turbine and checking the wind speed with give me a good idea if it is worth it.
The anemometer seems to be accurate, which is good.
It is measuring the wind speed and the temperature.
There is a button to power it ON and OFF, a button to change between the different measuring units,a button to change between Celsius and Fahrenheit ,button for the backlight, a button to see max and min wind speed and a button to see the average speed.
The price of this anemometer is 29.99 at the moment, which is a good price for what you get.

Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.

This arrives boxed and the meter comes with carry case it’s quite compact so easy to carry in bag.I ordered this for my elder daughter who took up so many water sports over summer sailing, paddle boarding and canoeing and she tried this out when at coast. The anemometer works with 2AAA batteries and is simple to use with clear digital display. My daughters friend has more expensive and complicated meter and says although this isn’t 100% it’s pretty accurate and good basic meter to check wind speeds before go out on wate

This is such a simple tool but it works so well and is really useful. My son loves going out on the water so this device is perfect in helping assess the weather situation before going out. You just hold the device up into the wind to get a reading the details come up on the digital display which is really easy to read.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersExtremely simple to use, this anemometer is perfect for simply measuring wind speeds. As a former primary school teacher, I had need for an anemometer on a number of occasions for science experiments. This would have been absolutely perfect for me – it’s versatile, portable, accurate and, above all, simple to use.

As soon as it is turned on, it will measure the current windspeed. To change the unit of measurement, you press the unit button. To begin taking an average measurement of the wind speed, press the AVG button. If you can’t see the display, press the lamp button. It is simple, basic and effective.

There is a handy screwhole on the bottom for attaching to a tripod which will allow you to leave it in one place while taking an average measurement. No tripod is included but it is a standard tripod mount that should fit on almost all standard tripods. There is a wrist strap included which fits the socket perfectly.

Here’s what it doesn’t do: Wind speed more accurate than 1 dp, data logging, USB connectivity. If you need those features, you will need a more complex unit. However, to simply measure wind speed easily, this has you covered. Recommended.

This is a nice basic wind metre, this does come with batteries and a pouch to keep it in. It is quite a handy gadget to have especially if you like to make weather recordings.

This has 6 buttons on the front, an on/off, unit, max/min, f/c, average and screen light. The display is a nice size and shows the speed of the wind and temperature. Being able to change the units is good as I can adjust the reading to what I want, so I can see the reading in knots, per second, per foot and a few more.

This is a nice size and is really easy to use, there is a basic instruction booklet but this unit is quite self-explanatory. This can be mounted onto a tripod instead of using the screw-in wrist strap.

Basic and effective seems to be quite reliable as well. I would be happy to recommend this as a basic beginner’s anemometer.

So I’m no meteorologist. My children are home schooled and we thought this would be wonderful to include as a learning tool when we are out and about.

It’s extremely simple to use. Point it towards the wind and it will start recording the speed. You can cycle through various options for what unit you would like the speed to be measured in (kmh, mph, knots, ft/min) and also chose to show the current speed, average, maximum or minimum.

It also can display the current temperature.

My children have really enjoyed using it and I’ve had no problems at all using it. We went for a hike up on the south downs and measured the variants in wind speed from the lowest point to the top.

I cant recommend this based on any type of professional use. However if you have children who love learning and being outdoors, they will definitely enjoy some activities using this.

While this works good for finding out wind speeds, it takes a couple of seconds to register so it’s not exactly perfect for finding gust speeds. It is however, relatively accurate in recording constant wind speed as a maximum or minimum as well as giving you a realtime reading. Just to experiment with this, I attached it onto the front of my e-bike which tops out around 25mph. It gave me a reading of 24mph which is well within margin of error. This does change if you are cycling into wind of course.

Not a bad product but I would like to see USB rechargeable batteries inside it. Unfortunately it requires AA batteries which can be expensive if you don’t have rechargeable ones like me.

This wind speed device works very well. It comes with batteries and a strap, can tell the temperature and wind speed.
It has multiple functions for max speed and hold and a backlight if using in dimly lit conditions.

The case is a nice touch to keep it protected and it seems to measure from either side accurately.

I have the basic version of this anemometer and I’m pleased with it. Supplied with a simple pouch, batteries, and detachable wrist strap it is capable of displaying accurate real-time wind speed and temperature. I like that the units are selectable for both, and there is a handy backlight on the display which I’ve found useful. The screw-thread at the bottom of the unit accepts a standard tripod fitting so I’ve been able to leave the unit securely mounted in position for extended periods.

An anemometer is an essential bit of kit for drone pilots or anyone into RC aircraft in general. It can also be handy for flying kites, ballooning or anything that relies on a calm sky or bit of wind.

This is a good anemometer, that is simple to use and accurately ready the wind speed. I’ve tested it against my existing one and it’s spot on.

This has plenty of buttons to set the unit of measurement, average speed, high and low, etc. It even displays the temperature on screen. There’s a handy wrist strap that sceews into the tripod mount thread on the bottom.

This is really good and excellent value for the price. I can highly recommend it.

I got this anemometer to set up the multiple air outlets on my Motorhome, I am amazed that such an inexpensive instrument is so sensitive, this little unit does the job easily that I have struggled with in the past, it has the added advantage to have a standard camera type female screw in the bottom that lets you mount it on a tripod or other mount,,
It also had max and min peak hold facility and windchill factor under 0 degrees.
I videoed it at the window of my van where minimal wind was changing direction through the gap flowing in both directions and to top it all off it has screen illumination, this has it all, very comprehensive meter.

Why do I now own an anemometer? I’m not quite sure. Am I determined to find a use for it? Yes, I am. The only one I have in my mind at the moment is being able to now complain about how windy it is and being able to back it up with actual data.

The device comes in a handy carry bag along with the 2 x AAA batteries required to power it and a dinky screwdriver.

The device is really easy to use and toggling through the various units of measurement and between C and F for temperature is simple and straight forward. The addition of the backlight is useful in super bright or dark situations.

The construction of the anemometer seems solid enough although if you move the device too quickly on a lateral or horizontal plain, it will cause the blades to dudder and skip.

5.0 out of 5 stars I need to find a use for this now I own it…
