I started Dotty Fish in 2006 when I had 2 children under 2. I was given some leather baby shoes for my son, Josh. When I went to buy some more I realised how expensive they were and saw a gap in the market for quality, affordable leather baby shoes. I decided to draw some designs, my shoes arrived and Dotty Fish was born!

Our range has grown to include slippers, sandals and baby booties. As I always say, ‘you can never have too many shoes!’

  • What makes our products unique?

Our UK team design all our shoes and we test our leather to ensure it is safe for little feet. Our shoes are podiatry approved after being tested using sophisticated gait analysis tools.

Why we love what we do?

Josh is 16 and Dotty Fish shoes have long since stopped fitting him. We love seeing our shoes being worn by babies & toddlers and hearing from happy parents who trust our brand.

    Are our products high quality?

Absolutely! The heart of Dotty Fish is to provide high quality shoes at affordable prices.

Also fr den Preis ok.

I think you have to have realistic expectations of what these shoes are with regards to your needs of using them.

My daughter is 18m old, she’s mostly carried in a sling/baby carrier when we’re out. I wanted something that would keep her socks on, get her used to shoes, keep her toes warm and would enable me to place her on the ground if needed. For me and these purposes these shoes are excellent.

They’re incredibly soft, easy to put on and off, flexible and they look absolutely adorable. The sole is soft enough to be light and unobtrusive to her yet offers enough protection so she can toddle round a field or down the path. They’re soft yet supportive around her ankles and heels and they take away the faff of figuring out width sizes.

However, do I think they would be suitable or withstand a robust toddler who walks most places? No. I think realistically you need a much more structured shoe with hardier sole for terrain and reinforced row for scuffs etc

If your toddler plays outside a lot and predominantly walks everywhere when you’re outside then I really don’t think these are the shoes you need. I think they’d scuff easily and I’m not convinced the sole is substantial enough to provide comfort/protection from terrains long term.

If you’re a babywearer or your child is mostly in a buggy and you want something so they *can* have a toddle outside occasionally that protects their soles then absolutely yes! They’re a wonderful and affordable option for a more “barefoot” type of shoe.

4.0 out of 5 stars If you're realistic with your expectations, they're lovely!

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersFate attenzione alla tabella delle taglie!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThese shoes are generous in width and very soft and supple for newly walking feet. My toddler has sensory aversions and is nonverbal so shoes with bulky or heavy soles distress her and she tries taking them off as she cannot ‘sense’ the ground beneath her causing her to lose balance. Upon putting these on her feet, she instantly accepted and took to them and had no trouble walking as if she was still barefoot. The sole is flexible whilst still providing protection whilst out walking. I cannot recommend these enough and I have since purchased more. I wish I knew about these shoes for my older children.
Shoes are also slightly darker but are brighter with the flash on so I have added 2 photos to show.
      Added note –
These are NOT fake! I purchased another pair in a different colour directly from dotty fish and I can confirm they are the same.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful first shoes especially for children with additional needs.

Shoes are lovely, they are nice soft leather and very good quality. Great price for such a great product, and they arrived on time.
Will be buying from this company in future.

I loved the soft sole on these shoes so have now bought two pairs for my child. The leather is so soft it is not very hard wearing though, so they became tattered quicker than I would have liked.

Beautiful cosy shoes for my little girl. During lockdown her feet have grown and I was worried about getting a comfy shoe that fit her well.
These shoes arrived on time and seem so comfortable for her tiny feet. Great gripping sole too so she doesn’t slip.
