bActive TouchTimed Finishing

Active Touch Headline

The new Active Touch System fundamentally changes the way you receive and strike the ball, providing closer control, improved fluidity, creativity and increased player personality. Utilize a suite of new first touch tools, like the disguised touch, flick-up volleys, or even skill specific animations, like the Neymar Trap, to beat your opponent and create scoring opportunities.

Dynamic Tactics

A re-imagined system gives players the tools to set multiple tactical approaches, offering in-depth customisation pre-match, as well as more options for dynamic in-match adjustments from the D-Pad. Each tactical approach combines formations, mentalities, and attacking and defensive play styles, enabling you to easily customize your play in any situation.

Timed Finishing

Double tapping shoot on any strike attempt triggers a timed finish, putting users in control of how accurately they connect with the ball. The precision of the second button tap determines the result of the contact, with perfectly timed balls increasing in accuracy and power, and poorly timed contacts more likely to miss the mark. Whether it’s a hit from outside the box, a precision header, or a deft touch, timed finishing adds a new layer of control to chances in-front of goal.

Official UEFA Elements

Experience the drama of the official UEFA Champions League tournament from the group stage through to the illustrious final match. Or play a custom version of the tournament with any European club of your choice. Immerse yourself in Europe’s most prestigious club competitions with official broadcast elements, kit badges, match balls, and the iconic trophies for the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup. The brand-new commentary pair of Derek Rae and Lee Dixon bring their signature broadcast style to the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and Super Cup tournaments within the game.

I have played every FIFA since start up, this version I am really enjoying. The story mode was interesting and I couldn’t wait to play it whenever I could. I am now doing my first ever career as a player (normally do manager). I am enjoying this mode too and will possibly start again at a lower division club for more of a challenge (currently playing for Fulham on semi-pro). Might play for Saaaarrfend.

Oh yeah, my review, buy it, it’s better than the last few (improved) and still better IMO than PES (which I have owned once)

The game is pretty good it’s a bit harder than last years in terms of scoring goals which is probably a good thing if EA could just stop messing with the AI settings every update that would be grea

Fifa 19 captures the atmosphere of the crowd really well with improved cinematic scenes of fans cheering after a goal and also a more realistic shooting system……. although the gameplay graphics look the similar to Fifa 18. Overall I thought the changes to Fifa 19 were heading in the right direction and feels and looks better than Fifa 18. Also the extra features of UEFA championship mode and a story mode conclusion make FIFA 19 a must buy.

First FIFA game I have bought in a decade as my son is now 8. Incredibly realistic, literally like watching TV. Though controls have become a lot more tricky & you need to commit time to get any good as computer AI is pretty sharp (even on the lower settings!)

Good game, although of course with any new game there are minor bugs which is expected. Once these have been fixed, it will be a very good FIFA game. They have added small improvements and you can clearly see a visual improvement.

I buy this every year and the attention to detail is amazing from crowd scenes (have you seen the guy walking to his seat) to the charge of sleeves badges for the different Cup competitions, took me a bit of time to get used to the change for shooting but once you get used to it, it feels life like.

Pretty much the same as last year’s if you are a career mode player like myself. A few tweaks to gameplay, but not much.

I am enjoying the extra multiplayer game modes (house rules) though.

Timed finishing is very useful once you get to grips with it. Happy the journey has ended as it’s very repetitive but it was a good idea to cycle through the characters, a version of MyCareer from NBA 2K would be ideal but highly doubt EA would do that. More of the same on the other game modes, although the different modes of friendlies such as Survival etc are a refresher.

The first fifa not have any nice songs that i like. That’s the only thing i dislike. Not only a game but it’s like an album too. Also I’ve noticed a massive change in the game play on the field. It felt alot similar like to PES. Very good changes. Adding the champions league to it also has helped. This game is the first fifa i actually love because i have had PES before too as well as Fifa, and this time they’ve really blown PES out the water.

So here it is FIFA 19, but are we getting more of the same, where all you basically are getting is a updated squad and a over exaggerated “Unique first touch system” or something like that?

Well YES pretty much so lets narrow it all down into lovely little sections

GAME PLAY: is pretty much the same you still have to defend online using that annoying stiff jockeying dance added in with a fumbling lean in with your foot which is just not realistic is it?
Attacking is still very stiff and 1 dimensional where 1 – 2 pass and move football is really the only way to play the game, scoring from crosses is a rare treat unless it’s just me?

There is a new “Unique tactics system” the usual rubbish EA say every year to make a game sound new and exciting but all it basically does is before the game lets you edit your 5 tactics options you pick during the game, so if you pick Attacking you will have a formation and tactics etc setup in advance so it’s a good feature to play around with but not as amazing as EA made out

New Features: There are a few nice new game modes this year the main one being the house rules section in kick off mode, These match types introduce new rules to the typical 90-minute match experience such as

Headers & Volleys, where you can only score using headers or volleys

No Rules mode, with no offsides, fouls, or bookings enabled, one to have a good laugh with, but the no offsides rule is really only the one that adds any element of fun or interest to the game since the ref is rather generous regarding fouls anyway

Survival Mode, in short, it consists of players being randomly ejected from your team after you score a goal, theoretically giving the trailing team the advantage, a very nice tactical style of game.
The big down side? These are only available offline, which is a rather odd decision as these would of proved quite popular online

Ultimate team, EXACTLY the same more down to how much money you spend and luck than anything else as to how good your team can be

The Journey Champions, The 3rd installment to the Great Journey Feature, which this year tells three separate storylines. Alex, the ‘Galactico,’ is adjusting to stardom in Madrid, his teenage sister Kim who you might remember appeared in last years game and Danny Williams, a parody of a Premier League footballer, All facing there own challenges. Can’t say too much without giving away any spoilers but i found it less boring and a drag than last years but decision making options still seem to have little effect on how the game progresses.

Oh of course!!!! Champions League mode is back after grabbing the licence back from Pro Evolution, and they show it off alot more than Pro Evo did, the Champions League plus Europa League can be played as part of the career mode, with the former also found in the Kick-Off menu, with each stage available to play separately. Integration with Ultimate Team but at this stage it is unclear whether this will be any more than some in-form FUT cards that you will find.
Also all games in these modes will have new commentators, Derek Rae and Lee Dixon, try not to laugh at Derek Rae though and the way he says everybody’s name when they take a shot on goal Lukaaaakuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

So overall i gave it 4 stars, the fact they have not changed much with the gameplay is what stops it being a 4.5 or 5

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersWhat can I say, fifa is fifa. This year they actually got licence to UCL (UEFA Champions League) wich is a massive big step for them. For FUT (Fifa Ultimate Team) they introduced a new concept called Squad Rivals that it’s very well done you never get tired of playing because you this year you are going to get a lot, and when I say a lot it’s a lot of rewards. So even if you are not a pro player you still get the chance to claim very good rewards just by simply playing that game mode.
Fifa 19 we are going to enjoy you for sure!

5.0 out of 5 stars Play it. Enjoy it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI can see why so many are unhappy on here but I do think this is better than fifa 18 which to me was a spot on game. I only really play career mode and like many here am disappointed at the very few changes. I haven’t sussed out the timed shot yet but can see mastering it could make a massive difference. Come with practice. I hope. As for people feeling ripped off for 50 look at it this way: you get a full year of playing Fifa for that price til the next one is released. Most other games for 50 are completed in a couple of months, even weeks so there is value in that regard.

Can’t understand why everyone is moaning like little bitches! FIFA is a football game…..of course its not gonna change!!
The game of football doesn’t just change dramatically every year so why should the game!!!! Do people want players jumpin 30 feet in the air to score from their own 18 yard box?? No we dont!!!! We want new kits and updated teams and the odd improvement which is exactly what FIFA 19 is with a few different ways to play. Quit your whinging n whining n enjoy the best football on a console experience.
    Sheeesh!!!

I don’t mind changes being made as long as they are possitive. In this case, although I feel the gameplay has improved I think there are certain this that should’ve stayed the same. One of them being the low driven shot. I would use this type of shot 60-70% of the time on FIFA 17. The changing of the buttons for this manoeuvre and it’s ineffectiveness is slightly disappointing

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI pre ordered this game for my football mad son’s 15th birthday. We have each new edition when they come out so he knows the games inside out. I was therefore a little worried after reading some of the reviews before I gave it to him as they aren’t good. Well I had no need to worry, he absolutely loves the new version and hasn’t played anything else for days. Thank goodness Fortnight has been forgotten for the time being !! He can’t understand why people are complaining about it!

Having skipped Fifa 18, this years edition is a real step up. Graphics are great and gameplay is fast. So far so good. Ignore the negative comments as most of them are not even about the game itself. Sort it out Amazon, stop people putting reviews up that are nothing to do with the game.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our Usersat first i was a little puzzled by the disc mark reading i got, (using asus prime b350 plus motherboard) but then i realised that as it was in the second pcie slot i need to tweak the pcie settings in the bios to pcie 3.0×4 as they had a default of pcie 3.0×2. everything is great now. excellent buy at an excellent price

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersPurchased Fifa 19 expecting some big changes. Bit disappointed now I’ve played it.

I usually only play the career mode as I’m not interested in the FUT side of the game. Within career mode, there is now the inclusion of the champions league, europa league and super cup. This is a really good inclusion from the developers but something that should have happened years ago. Also, the game play has been improved somewhat, with the action more realistic and lifelike. The developers have done their usual change of theme colour but the menu system is the same layout and style.

To be honest, I’m not sure if the 50 I paid for it is truly worth it, I could have maybe skipped this edition and bought Fifa 20.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAs the title says, I have played FIFA since 2012, this version is much better in my opinion than FIFA 18. The slower pace and nice play build are more enjoyable. Also kick-off mode and the ability to keep track of games played against your friend is a solid addition, it was really well thought off for offline play, as well as online. It is good to see some attention is giving to other modes besides FUT. Speaking of which, FUT is more enjoyable to me compared to pervious iterations. As I have now more than one way to play and gain decent rewards. As someone who doesn’t find lots of time to play, I like going into Squad Battles against AI, and progress there.

4 stars and not 5 starts to the following issues, not in particular order:
    – FUT market bugs, can’t see current prices when I am drafting a squad.
    – Accessibility to the web companion app is a mess, they vaguely require you to play more!
    – The FUT is still heavily reliant on microtransaction, that takes a lot of positivity from the game. Cosmetics paid with real money is not as bad, but a lot of other players gain a huge advantage as they are willing to spend tons of money on Fifa points. As it is becoming more common, it will create unbalance in the FUT competition and player prices.
    – Switching between players with L1, is still bad, really bad. Even with the new switching indicator that looks like the one in PES series. I tried PES17 and 18, it works very well. Not in FIFA19, it is 50/50, and I find myself keep switching to go to the player that I want.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersIt takes a while but the games ok could be more different commentating than the same old 20 lines coming from the commentators mouths….
I think all teams should have s 3rd kit that have actually got a 3rd. There should also be 2 keeper outfits. Recently Arsenal had to wear Red Shorts for the first time I’ve known seeing them and several occasions liverpool were white socks instead of red so theres no colour clash… these should be an option for future fifa games.
I also think you you start a career in the lower leagues you should be the same grade if your in the premiership as a 69 rating for Arsenal is acceptable as your player wont get all the gameplay they want because they’re not good enough or they go out on loan which is good. But a 69 rating player for a 1st division or 2nd division side is stupid I think I think it should be 60-62 for 2nd division 63-64 for 1st Division 65-66 for championship and 67 for premiership.
I am also disappointed as all the fifa games not just this one if you play well in the 1st or 2nd division you are getting picked to play for England ? What utter rubbish it doesn’t happen in real life so why have it on a footie game….
In career mode I think s tattoo on your player would be cool too a face mask like Harry Kane had a few seasons ago. More hairstyles as the ones available at start are now boring as anything why lock all the decent hairstyles and hair colours ? We are adults after all not 3 year olds… and unlocking all the different football boots and balls is all I wanted which I now have.
The handball is ON in career but for some reason it’s not working least on fifa 18 it did. I’ve played 8 seasons in career mode as a 19 year old Rep. Ireland LM/LF enjoying my career at Nottingham Forest after a transfer from a Irish team which I forgot name of but my players name is Fitzgerald and Forest have just been Promoted back to the top Flight…not won anything yet except a few warm up trophies before seasons start and only played about 6 international games as my player does score much and not as many assists as my club wants but I do get good rating with the passing I do. Now I’m in the top flight i will see how it goes and if forest can do anything and see if a club like Brighton or Crystal Pslace want me as I get bored playing for the usual 6 suspects ….
And sort the silly penalties out !!!!
Oh yeah theres No Japan, China, Croatia, South Korea ,Jamaca or that Nigerian team with that fantastic kit they were in last years World Cup…..come on EA SPORTS you make a fortune out of us each year so empty them cobwebs from your wallets and kick ass,put that pizza down and get them teams on next game and yes I know about Croatia and why they not on game. But that’s a pitiful excuse you have the money so get on with it.
But the games good …..freekicks are better than usual though…..just needs the above to be sorted ……I love my football it still gets a 5.

For me this is the best footy game since retro PES on the PS2. Stats matter at last for individual players and teams play differently. Barcelona now play far better than lower league teams. There is so many random things happening in matches that make me want to come back for more. But this is for the football purists that prefer to play proper football not tika taka fancy flicks all the time. Excellent stuff!!!
