My four year old saw this on YouTube and I knew he had to have it for his birthday.
He has spent hours playing with it. Even his 11 year old brother loves it.
My son is 4 and has been asking for a car wash for ages! I saw this one at a reasonable price, and liked the fact you actually use water with it and the car changes colour! My son loves it! Just remind them to put the trays back under after they’ve got their water or it goes everywhere! I’ve been putting a tea towel under whilst playing inside and will encourage him to play with it outside when it’s warm!
Son loves Cars and this seemed a great choice for a toy, we were right! Easy to put together, car is really reactive to temperature change (we have colour changing hot wheels that need a greater degree of temperature change). Parts work well. Advice – put a towel underneath and/or put on a surface to collect water, it will leak. No problem, its what you expect from a water toy! Love it!
Excellent play set. My son adores the cars toys/shows/films, so anything with Lightning McQueen is a winner.
He has always loved playing with the colour changers but didn’t have a good way of using them when not in the bath. This car wash works great and doesn’t break the bank. Our son gets lots of fun using this and a bit of imagination.
Not too difficult to put together. Worked well once we put an ice cube in the cold container and quite hot water in the other one. Put a thick folded bath towel underneath which soaked up the water so minimal mess. Bought on special offer so very good value for money. Kept my Grandson busy for ages.
It was pretty easy to set up. Took about 10 minutes, although it would’ve been faster if my kiddo wasn’t trying to play with it at the same time! The instructions were easy to read, although I just looked at the box and matched the pieces up that way. There’s stickers that go on several areas, and a diagram in the instructions that tells you where to put them. I missed that part. So if you’re looking for it, it’s at the top of the page at the beginning.
A few things I wish were different:
* It leaks like CRAZY! There’s nothing to collect the water that drains out where the car sits to be washed, so it all leaks underneath to the floor. Perhaps if the little water bins were inserted into their spots all the way, they’d collect it? He always has those pulled out.
* I wish the warm & cold water bins were slightly bigger. The water warms up and cools down really fast because they’re so small.
* We both wish there was a way to have the bins at the bottom of each ramp so his cars could crash into them! We’ve rigged it to make it work, but they’re just not big enough.
TIP: Lay a big absorbent towel underneath the entire thing! The little bins won’t push in as easily, but they’ll still work. We put the whole thing on a giant food tray I found on amazon, which is awesome because it collects water and doesn’t leak all over the floor. Use really warm water in one bin, and crushed ice in cold water in the other to make the cars change faster!
Highly recommend it! He’s been having so much fun with the whole set. He even takes parts of it into the tub at night.

Bought as a Christmas present. The kids absolutely love it. Make sure you put a towel down and get ready for lots of trips to top the warm water up. Good quality product at a great price when on sale.
Bought this as a Christmas present for 3 year old. He loves it. It can get quite messy as it’s used with water. And there is no way to contain the water when kids are pouring it on the cars. We placed it in a large plastic container but during summer you could take it outside and not have to worry about the water.
The product concept is nice but is not so nice to play because is necessary to through the car in the weather to change the color, just moving inside the car wash the effects basically don’t exists
My 4 year old absolutely loves the colour changers toys. He had this for Christmas and really enjoys it . He has other toys like this which he loves playing in the garden with in the summer.
It’s quite messy regarding when squirting the water from the top as doesn’t fully drain anywhere other than onto the floor.
My son is fascinated by how the cars change colour.
My little boy loves this. Easy to put together and use. The water sucker is a bit tricky for him, he is 3 years old, little practice and I think it will be fine. Cute design, and fun. Quite different to other toys. Its a hit!
